We went to crepe castle for Mother's Day breakfast. I had the Royal #1. It has ham, eggs, toast, home fries, fruit, and a crepe. It was delicious. The home fries are crunchy and flavourful, and the fruit was very sweet. It was very busy because of Mother's Day. This is a review for the Ajax location! We came by to give this place a try as it replaced the former Vietnamese Restaurant that we enjoyed. We ordered their Sujuk Skillet consisting of a few pieces of sliced up sausages on over easy eggs and some seasoning. Also got banana chocolate custard crepe. Overall its decent, came to $36+ before tips. May try other items in the future. Ambiance is nicer appeal than the OG breakfast joints and the seating is ample. read more

When I started going here 2 years ago, strawberry and custard crepe was $12 and now it's $14. This is exactly why I stopped going, what a rip off. Crepes cost .50 to make, these thieves charge $14. There's no way this is justified. read more

Automatically charge 18% for a family of 6 people. The worst part was the table was split into 3 separate checks and the waitress who was not the friendliest automatically charged us 18% each bill. This is a breakfast restaurant not fine dining, and servers are paid a minimum wage of just under $18 an hour now. No one walking around refilling coffees, a water jug is placed on the table so you pour own, it was never refilled. We had to ask for more cutlery and it was tossed on the table. So for retired pensioners who seem to be the clientele for breakfast, it is ridiculous to have to pay you for terrible service and better than average breakfast food. Will never return. Came here to celebrate my MIL's birthday. They were busy so there was a bit of a wait but it was a Saturday afternoon so it was expected. Service was friendly and prompt. The menu is so big, you will have a hard time deciding! They had unusual combos which we loved. Three of us had the Royal #1 which was perfect giving us our usual eggs and bacon plus a sweet crepe to finish. We were stuffed! My FIL had the cheese omelette which he said was really good. Good Good, great portion size for the price. Food was cooked well, my eggs were running, its Halal and they accommodated our party of 15 and served the food promptly and exactly the way we asked. Kids tried the pancakes, which they didn't finish, adults tried the Halal skillets, which were spicy and made flavorful, just like the way we love it. It might be more heat for average people. I ordered a strawberry crepe with strawberry sauce and a savoury crepe with bacon, ham, egg and cheese. Honestly I dont know why I wasted my money. The food was cold, including the crepe. I'm not sure it was actually "fresh". The savoury crepe was flavourless. The strawberry one was alright. Nothing special about it. Service 3/5 Service was okay. This place was super busy on the Sunday morning. Given the chaos the staff we quite helpful. Food 3/5 They have many interesting items on the menu. I ordered the eggs benny and the crepes of course! Food was good, nothing spectacular. Although the home fries were different and I did enjoy them the most. This was our 8-10th. time at this place and for sure it will be our last. Not sure what is happening there but it's not good. We were a table of 3 adults and 2 children ( one in a high chair). We were seated in a small booth which was cramped. We ordered our food which came out at a reasonable time but it wasn't very good. In fact it was awful. Our server dropped our food and never returned to see if we needed anything else. None of us finished our food because we didn't like it. We had to get up from the table to get our bill because the kids were getting restless. We paid and left a 12% tip because of the service. Well, our server was pissed and rude. I'm writing this review on behalf of my grandmother and her friends who went there for lunch and were treated horribly. Primarily from a male and female hostess/ servers who treated them like children when they asked questions regarding food items they had ordered. Not sure if they thought because they were seniors that they could talk to them any kind of way and get away with it. My grandmother was so mad on how they were treated her blood was boiling as is mine. This was on a Friday around 12:30pm. Got Hard-boiled eggs instead of soft/ potato hash brown had little to no seasoning and were cold the fruit bowl with yoghurt was off. When my grandmothers friend asked this young kid/server about the yoghurt ..He told her don't worry about it....it's good for you and walked away. WTH!!! I will be contacting the manager. Went to crepe castle in Oshawa on October 18th around 9:00am. Server was very rude, rushed our order and didn't let us speak. We understood that we could not customize the food, but when we tried to order she assumed we were trying to customize and would cut me off and rush me saying "finish your order"Honestly wanted to just enjoy my morning, but this ruined my whole energy. We ended up canceling the food, the coffee came out before leaving so we paid for it, but we left as soon as we had that interaction. Beautiful family-owned business along with eggs and crepes on King St. Spotless open kitchen, gets busy on Sunday morning, check in, bring a book - they'll call you. Cheerful staff & great menu. This place is definitely not for tea drinkers. If you drink coffee you get a carafe of coffee left on the table for $2.65 run out just ask for more no charge. But tea! The cheapest one cup teabag available ask for more hot water that's all you get if you want another teabag they want another $2.65! So this time I just happened to have a teabag in my purse. Nice new restaurant to enjoy a tasty breakfast. Portions are very ample. Presentation is colourful and fruit is fresh. My daughter had a crepe as part of her meal and she loved it. It is still getting going so the service was a bit slow but not a turn off as it gave us some time to chat and laugh before taking in our delicious meal. I used the restroom and find the mirror so high that all I could see was the top of my head...lol Will not deter me from the place but something they could look into. I've driven by Crepe Castle many times for nearly a year and finally decided to check it out with my sister. The décor inside was fairly monochromatic, but te customer service was great and the speed with which our food was prepared was pretty decent (10 mins)! We ordered The Queen Crepe and a Strawberry Banana Waffle to go. We both enjoyed the flavors and textures of the crepe and waffle, the accompanying sauces were also quite flavourful (strawberry and custard) although they could have been a little thicker. I'm sure vegan's would appreciate a vegetable oil based whipped cream, but a natural dairy based whipped cream would have really made our crepe and waffle taste lighter. Would have given a 3.5/5 stars for this review. However, my sister found a blackberry with obvious fungi growing on it (not impressed...in fact pretty grossed out that this obviously decomposing fruit was overlooked)!
