Eggsmart is pretty much your typical breakfast place. There's nothing that makes it stand out from other places, but there's also nothing bad about it either. However, since the food still tasted great and I left feeling full, I'll still give this place 4 stars. Since I did an Uber Eats delivery order from this place and location, I cannot speak on behalf of what the service and ambiance is like here, so I'll provide an updated review if I somehow get a chance to be here again in person. read more

Love breakfast! This egg smart is just around the corner and is perfect for a quick hearty start for the day. The restaurant is a little bit dated and can use a glow up but the food is pretty consistent. The Monday to Friday special of $9 for three eggs, toast, potatoes and protein is a great reasonable price. Occasionally I order the toasted Western which is the other option for the morning special. This weekday morning special comes with a coffee or tea! Now that's a good deal! The service could be a little friendlier and more attentive, and the restaurant could use a deep clean. I love this place! They have recently set up tables outside since indoor dining isn't permitted during the pandemic. Although they don't take reservations, if you go on a weekday morning you will probably get a table. I even saw them put out an additional table when it got crowded. The $5.99 early bird special is still available before 10 am on weekdays. It's fantastic! They accommodate special orders like extra crispy potatoes. At other breakfast restaurants, if I ask for hard poached eggs they're runny but here they gave me exactly what I requested. Way to go EggSmart! The server was very pleasant and on top of everything. My fiancé and I went to our local Eggsmart for breakfast this weekend. We both ordered the Signature Eggsmart Breakfast with 3 eggs cooked any style, choice of toast, home fries and fruit. What we ordered: 2 coffees with unlimited refills 3 Sunny side up eggs with breakfast sausage, white toast, fruits and home fries. 3 soft poached eggs with bacon, rye toast, fruits and sweet potato fries. This place had the typical Eggsmart franchise look, but could be cleaner in my opinion. Everything looked a bit dated and greasy. Ambience 6/10. The food was okay. I guess you get what you pay for. The eggs were cooked well, but the meats (bacon and breakfast sausages were SO salty). I expected a mini fruit bowl, but literally got 2 slices of fruit. The best thing on my plate were the sweet potato fries. Light and crispy with a tangy chipotle mayo. Totally worth the $1.99 upgrade. Coffee was meh. After we were finished eating we noticed a chef cough in the back while cooking. They were not wearing masks...gross. Food 4/10. We both found the menu to be misleading. It said signature breakfast $6.99 "with a choice of" breakfast meats. Beside the ham it said $10.49 and peameal bacon $11.49. So we thought only the ham and peameal bacon were the higher price. We were surprised to find that we were charged $10.49 for our breakfasts (photo of menu attached). When we asked the waitress about this. She said all of the meats are additional. $6.99 is only if you get the 3 eggs. Personally, I don't like when a place uses tricky advertising techniques to charge more. On top of the fact that the restaurant looked a bit dirty and the food was mediocre at best. And the coughing chef? Ewww... For this price we'd rather good to a much better breakfast place. With a revamped menu of numerous options on a placemat, Eggsmart pretty much has something for everyone. In Richmond Hill, one can find a breakfast place pretty much on every corner, from your Tims to McD's, to Starbucks and Second Cups. In this area alone, you have Steve's, Wimpys and Eggsmart within a block I. The Yonge Street stretch. Service is good when we got there a lunch before the Sunday hoardes of hungry travellers arrived. Coffee refills, for example, were plenty, however a glass of tap water was never brought once a few more tables were occupied. Gone are the days of a cheap breakfast, now you are looking at a $10.00 spend plus for eggs and bakey, a cholesterol infused portion of home fries, and for the dating a whipped cream topped waffle set (our visiting friend from Miami ordered those, Americans love a big breakfast)! My son loved his Eggs Benny, my Omelette of feta and spinach with Egg Whites was decent, and everyone left satisfied. With the Seine in service and the steeper prices, a solid 3 is a reasonable assessment. Will definately come back for the early bird, but I. The food came pretty quick via Uber eats BUT these guys charged 3 dollars for a teaspoon of Nutella for the waffles. Like cmon... How is it that I didn't know that we had one of these restaurants in the area? The menu is large, and there's lots to choose from. The staff are so friendly and I never had long ti wait before they checked in to see if we needed more coffee or water. I had the southwestern skillet for breakfast with home fries and my husband had 3 egg special with fruit. The portions were generous. $35 with taxes. read more

Surprisingly fresh and delicious ! I've been to several eggsmart locations in the past. My general impression from these collective experiences can be characterised as the following: "lacking freshness " "fluctuating quality" "grease spoon" and "grime city" Yes. Its not good. But this location is ! We ordered the Baja Benny with a side of soup and southwest scramble with a side of salad. Everything looked and tasted fresh. The chicken noodle soup had large pieces of chicken breast and veggies to boot. The broth tasted homemade and hearty. The eggs were poached perfectly on the Benny, and they weren't scant on the avocado; each side of the Benny had half an avocado. The hollandaise sauce was well balanced and not too tangy or salty. The southwest scramble was an interesting dish and also had half an avocado placed on top. The veggies in the salad were super fresh and the portions were good. The food took a while to get on the table , but seeing as they only had one chef on staff , and one waitress, with around 8 tables in the restaurant, I wouldn't hold that against this place. In fact, the service was actually pretty efficient despite the lack of staffing. The waitress was well organized and approached us immediately, and the food, though slow, still came out looking finessed - good job Eggsmart !! read more

Go there every weekend. Menu has been updated/changed, when we started going there last year the bills were coming to $25. Since the change we've been getting $35 bills.. May have to re-evaluate our visiting schedule. Service, fast, so fast she doesn't even ask if we want coffee just brings it, sometimes we don't feel like coffee and feel obligated to take it. Just started looking at our bills(we will look at menu next visit) 2.99 for the substitute salad and 1.99 for cheese in omelette. Omelette was 10.99, coffee was hot but average for $2.49. Food - omelette is always above well portioned and not greasy. toast hit and miss(sometimes burnt we can't be bothered to complain) Will we return, don't know. Do I recommend? Came here and took out breakfast the other day and the staff were all extremely nice and helpful! The lady who took our order was a sweetheart and the manager (I assume) apologized for our food taking so long, but me and my boyfriend were surprised on how quick it actually took! The bananaberry pancakes were delicious I highly recommend them, and getting Nutella with it! The only thing that disappointed were their home fries, they lacked the crispiness I was hoping for, they were kinda bland and honestly just tasted like barely cooked potatoes. This is a typical, chain breakfast/brunch joint. I come here because it's on the way between my place and my parents place on the weekends. Usually get a triple decker with fries and the big breakfast, whatever it's called. The breakfast comes with eggs, pancakes, home fries, toast, sausage, ham and maybe bacon? I don't really remember if there's bacon for some reason..but if there isn't you can ask to sub something, last time i subed my pancakes for french toast and it was fat and delicious!! The fries here (normal fries) are AMAZING. Super delicious and perfectly crispy. The 3-decker is pretty decent, not enough mayo for moi - ask for more. I don't like that they charge a whooping 1.50 for a side of hollandaise (?) sauce...why people, WHY SO MUCH?!!? The decor is Cora-like, nothing fancy, nothing over-powering and tacky - pretty pleasant and clean. Coffee is good, my double breakfast meal usually comes to about $27-30 bucks, service is fast and I'm happy! I would much rather go to a cheap diner style place, somewhere in the boonies, but this is all I can get down this stretch of yonge street other than 3 Coin Diner...so i'll keep coming back here! read more

I came here for breakfast with the lovely Anastasiya one sunday, post being mad hungover (it was sunday, don't judge!) This place is located in the plaza with food basics and stuff around yonge and royal orchard. I've seen it millions of times, but I've never actually been. Anywas, I had the grilled cheese combo with fries. It was pretty blah in my opinion. Wasn't too much of a fan. Ana had the big breakfast, and I tried her pancakes..also kinda blah. It was really olden style inside..but not like in a cute-sy way, just more like in an outdated kinda way. It was edible, so theres a star. I doubt I'll be back though. read more

I've been here a couple times and the girls are so warm and welcoming. I'm new to the area and simple gestures mean a lot. When I've eaten there it wasn't super busy, but a good amount of people have always been there, and yet I get attentive service and my meal arrives very quickly. They always bring out the coffee right away and always offer refills (which is very appreciative) Another good thing to note is they don't leave tables dirty, it's a clean yummy spot, with ample seating. I really like is that I don't feel rushed at the end of my meal, or at any point really. I was taking my time planning my day while eating and after eating and I continued to get checked on and made sure I had enough coffee. This is a newer location of the breakfast/brunch chain Eggsmart. It has the same, basic, breakfast foods and nice, big breakfast combos. We started going to this location a few months back when we realized it was open and go every once and awhile. We've always had pretty consistent service and the food as been as good as one expects from this type of place. I usually get their two eggs combo with bacon and toast and I like it because it's basic. Prices are pretty good (although your non-chain greasy spoon will likely have comparable for cheaper). Today I had the spinach and feta cheese omelet and wasn't a fan. Too much feta was rolled up in the omelet and it was all your could taste. Will go with my basic again next time. read more

Wow! This place is great, I just moved in the area a month ago and stumbled into this place. Me and my wife order THE OJ....mmmmm. i ordered the Egg bennie and my wife ordered waffle with fruits. The food and service was amazing. Across the street there is a restraunt "steve's" , Horible! . Its unfortunate that they have no signage. I wish the best to the family operated owners. Usually come here early morning for the breakfast but decided to come here today for the lunch. They have burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and even burritos. I got the Twisted Chicken Joe which is basically a grilled chicken sandwich with onions, cheese, and Chipoltle sauce. It came with either French fries or home fries.
