I really hate to give this place three star but when we first came to this place they were located in Whittier and the crepes would be so perfect and soft but now they come out burnt and it just doesn't taste the same. My bf and I went about two days ago and there was a guy making the crepes that time and he made both of ours really good. There's a parking lot that offers 2 hours free just south of the restaurant and west of harbor Blvd. Just note your stall number and let the cashier know, they will validate your parking for 2 hours. In downtown Fullerton parking can be very challenging so this is a great perk. Ordered at the counter and paid for our crepes. The server brought our crepes out to the table when they were ready. Everything tasted delicious and we all finished our crepes. They even make gluten free crepes for my son who suffers from celiac disease and is on a strict gluten free diet. Seating inside the restaurant and out on a patio. It was a nice night so we sat outside and enjoyed the evening fresh air. Our family loves crepes! Service was fast and friendly but not a favorite. Lots of seating outside and some seating inside. Very bright and clean decor. Lots of parking in the back depending on what time you come. We got the Hazelberryana I liked how the whip cream was on the side but I feel like the crepe had WAY too much powder sugar. I didn't like the way the chocolate sauce tasted so I would probably opt out next time. Also, feel like the strawberries were from the freezer not fresh and there were only about 5 slices of bananas. I wanted something sweet for breakfast and being gluten-free can sometimes be difficult to find something like that . Enter Crepes Bonaparte. My first time ordering was through DoorDash and I got their Nutella, strawberry, banana gluten-free crepe of amazing. I can't remember the name but all I know is that I thought about that thing for a full year and ordered again the first night we were in Anaheim last year. So when our trip to Anaheim came up again this year, I knew exactly what I'd be doing. But this time I changed it up a bit! Instead of getting the Nutella deliciousness I also got a apple and cinnamon sugar crepe. I got to say that one was surprisingly delicious! Like apple pie and a crepe. Cannot complain at all. Each time I've ordered from this place through DoorDash My order has been completed exactly as requested so I'm assuming the staff is on it. I can't speak to the ambiance as I haven't been in there but the presentation of the crepes even after being delivered by DoorDash is still impressive. I am also so appreciative of the gluten-free option and their batter definitely seems to be one of the better ones I've tried. My new favorite crepe place!! I used to frequent Fraise Cafe but unfortunately they've raised their prices all around to about 15-16$ for ONE crepe. My wife found this place via an Instagram post. We decided to try it out Sunday morning. Staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to accommodate a food allergy! The portion size was great and tasted amazing! Freshly made and great price at about 10$!! There was plenty of seats inside and outside. The area was very clean and well put together. The crepe we had were the lemon and sugar & the strawberry and banana with powdered sugar. The strawberry lemonade was also very refreshing! Crepes Bonaparte: A crepe experience that, like Napoleon himself, was short and left me wanting more. The ham & cheese crepe was like a sad, disjointed battle--nothing really came together. It was like a deconstructed crepe, but not in the "cool, trendy" way, more like "someone forgot to put the pieces together." It was very much so unbalanced and had substantially more cheese than ham. The Hazelberrynana (or whatever it was called) was similarly lacking--sparse on fillings like a military ration. Just because your name's Bonaparte doesn't mean you have to skimp on the goods! I'm a big fan of sweet crepes. They offer both savory and sweet. I love the little shop. There's inside seating as well as patio seating to enjoy your crepes. The only ice cream flavor they offer is vanilla which comes in a plastic cup, exactly like the kind you get in your middle school cafeteria for those special days. The staff is quick and efficient making your crepes fresh to order. We sat outside in the patio area, they will call your number through a speaker to alert you when your crepe is ready. They were stuffed full of fresh yummy ingredients and were a stand alone meal. BUT, we couldn't resists ordering a desert crepe. We got the Apple Pomme pie and the Cookie Berry Ana. Soooo good! The establishment lacked decent customer service. What happened to the days servers or cashiers happily recommended their favorite items. Now it seems like everyone is in a rush to take your order and see if you leave a nice tip or not. As for the crepe it self it lacked a ton of flavor. I love this place because they have savory crepes which is what I crave for breakfast/lunch - whereas most places only do sweet or dessert crepe which is just basic. BTW Their drinks also really good! It is on the "west" side of downtown and faces Harbor Blvd and just past the alley. It has a little private parking lot and they validate there so check it out. I'll start by saying - We love crepes in general. Cute establishment- only barstool seating inside, and some picnic tables outside. They seem to have a GREAT MENU - with lots of variety. Though - THEIR CREPES ARE TERRIBLE! My husband, son & I went together. My husband is not picky and will eat anything that tastes good. Even their lemon crepe ... which is just lemon, butter and powdered sugar. No taste of lemon... or butter.. but rather it tasted like mushrooms. We also got the Ham & Cheese, California Sunrise, and Apple Pomme Pie. My husband he couldn't even eat the ham and cheese - (TMI) he took one bite and couldn't take another bite. The apple pomme pie ingredients were all cold inside - and the crepe didn't seem cooked enough. I didn't even complain about any of the 3 others but I had to ask about the lemon crepe and how it doesn't taste of lemon or butter... at all. They remade the lemon crepe and added more lemon - it was better but still nothin I'd come back for. Have a 2nd star as they remade the lemon crepe for us. We had a special all-church event Sunday morning after services, catered by Crepes Bonaparte. Brunch with thee types of crepes was a delicious hit for all ages! The catering department was easy to work with and the price was right! The cooking team, with four stations was busy but so positive and engaging to folks as they watched their meal take shape! Wonderful and engaging group! They brought everything they needed and provided food, plates and utensils while we covered the drinks. Everyone was well fed, especially this who got a second flavor! I don't see why the attitude was there and then when I received my crepe it was thick and gross. Thank you unfortunately I can eat here any more. Stopped by here for a sweet tooth fix. I'm pretty basic with crepes so my go to is the Nutella and banana crepe. It usually never lets me down. This one didn't disappoint either. You can add a scoop of ice cream with it if needed. I did and shared with my daughter! I can't speak for the savory crepes but they looked pretty good as well from what I saw. There's parking nearby but if you eat here you get two hours validation. But we ate so quick we just took the risk lol. This place is by far my favorite crêpe place ever. I love it so much that I even catered it for my wedding. I don't love the fact that it's located right off a very busy street in downtown Fullerton, but at least there is plenty of parking in the lot across the street. Despite, it being in really crowded area, it doesn't stop me from trying to frequent as much as possible when in Fullerton. My go to crêpe flavors are the pumpkin which I believe is seasonal or the bananas Foster. The pumpkin crêpe is filled with pumpkin purée, brown sugar, and walnuts. The combinations are delicious and remind me of Thanksgiving. My other favorite is the bananas Foster where they gave you a generous amount of bananas and it's filled with mascarpone and caramel. Regardless of which dessert crepe you get, it comes with a healthy side of whipped cream. Even the whip cream tastes good! The service is always friendly and they have some nice outdoor tables which are pleasant to sit at...when college kids aren't racing down the street or reving their engines. I ordered the plain Jane, and the banana fosters. I only ate the banana fosters as the plain Jane was for another person and I didn't try a sample. But to speak about the banana fosters 5/5. By far one of the best presentations on flavor and taste that I've had in years. And funny the dessert crepe was not only delicious but a nice size portion. Definitely will order again. I can't speak on service and ambiance as I ordered delivery but they did pack forks and spoons.
