Who knew there is an adorable French cafe in Old World out of all places. Stopped by for dinner after watching a World Cup match at the Biergarten and this place was absolutely solid and has a lovely happy hour. Enjoyed some delicious escargot, onion soup and Sauvignon Blanc. All were very reasonably priced and tasted amazing and authentic. My friends and I closed out with the chocolate Nutella crepe and that too was tasty! The bartender/server was super personable and nice. Food and drinks came out very quickly as well. Go support this cute authentic French cafe in the OC!

I took a Tour de France today at Creme de la Crepe, and it did not disappoint! The great service , cozy atmosphere, and delicious food had me saying bonjour! I started with the fresh squeezed orange juice, which was the perfect tartness and temperature. Next came the plate of Salmon Benedict - smoked salmon, poached eggs, lemon creme sauce, on an English muffin. The plate included au gratin potato, fresh salad greens, and the freshest baked bread and strawberry jam. Voila! A marriage of flavor and texture that must have been concocted by some genius creature under the chef's hat. For dessert - I ordered the Kat - Nutella and strawberries on a whole buckwheat crepe. Fully satisfied, I said au revoir to the friendly French waiter in a classic black and white striped shirt, promising to return again soon. Enjoy!

Came back a 2nd time for breakfast. This was a disappointment. My eggs and whatever else was in my breakfast crepe was dry and no flavor. The latte was pleasant. Will come back but will order something else.

Hi again Sacha, if you're still the owner here... WHAT A DIFFERENCE and coincidence that I ordered the same thing as 3 years ago! The lamb was still a bit gamey for me, but NO FAULT OF YOURS!! The French Eggs Benedict was delicious! The eggs were cooked PERFECTLY and yes, your homemade jam is superb! The Hollandaise sauce was so pleasant this time I hardly noticed it! All the flavors melded well together. THE ITALIAN coffee was AMAZING! I had two cups, but wanted more. The only complaint was it took awhile for our order to come and seemed there was only one waitress, so water & coffee wasn't filled as I had expected, but your restaurant was overly crowded due to the Christmas mart that was in full gear today.... Your restaurant is great though and there's such a variety of both breakfast & lunch entrees to choose from... We will definitely be back! TY

Crème de la Crêpe was... fine. Like a first date that looks good on paper but just doesn't deliver the chemistry. The service, though? Absolute saving grace. They were genuinely warm, attentive, and the reason I'll probably give this place another shot. The food? My French onion soup did not give French onion soup. It gave... ehhhh soup, kinda like my last few Tinder matches. Not terrible, not great, just comfortably mid. But you know me... I'm a hopeless romantic. I give more chances than most men deserve. So yeah, I'll be back, hoping next time there's a little more spark and a lot more flavor.

Cute little place for brunch over the weekend in old world market. Stopped in today for a quick bite. I ordered the French onion soup and he ordered the smoked salmon buckwheat crepe that came with a side of arugula salad. Service was good, we sat indoors because although it was sunny, too windy out to be on the patio area. His crepes were good, light and satisfying without being overly heavy. My French onion was too peppery. Way too much pepper in there that initially I thought it was too salty and kept having to blow my nose and drink more water to offset the taste before I realized looking at my soup that it was doused in black pepper. Love me a good French onion soup but would not recommend this one and will try something else nice time.

Looking for something new. My family and I went to this restaurant. Nice ambience and welcoming people. Great food and good service. I really enjoyed it. They are pet friendly. We have seated at their patio so my dog can enjoy the view. if you're around Huntington Beach check this place, cool and great place to hang out.

Food was sooo good and so was the service! I got the rose latte and it was amazing. Very quiet morning, and the outdoor patio is dog friendly!

Crème de la Crêpe is honestly one of my favorite spots to go to especially during the holidays. The moment you walk in it feels like Christmas threw up in the best way possible and the whole place feels cozy homey and safe like one of those spots you never want to leave. The customer service and staff are exceptional and always make you feel genuinely welcomed. It is pet friendly has the perfect ambiance and the food is delicious with amazing mimosas. If you are looking for a great brunch spot this is it. The location is also a huge plus because afterward you can walk around explore nearby spots or grab a beer which makes it perfect for a date or a relaxed day out. Highly recommend and I am already a regular here. Ps: They have been so kind to give customers complimentary crepes in the past. 5/5 stars all around!!!

We always have the most wonderful time at this cafe. First, I love that they carry Lavazza! Their coffee isn't overly bold or acidic, it's just perfect. The latte was so, so good. I would honestly order their coffee every day if I could. The food was phenomenal. Their baguette was buttery and airy, possibly one of the best baguettes we've ever had. My boyfriend always orders the Pigalle crepe whenever we come here. But truly, everything is so good, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu (: The staff is always amazing and kind, and we consistently have such a beautiful experience here. Their service truly enhances the entire dining experience. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

A cozy little restaurant in Old world Huntington Beach. Service was excellent along with the rich food. My friend loved their quiche lorraine and salad. The turkey and brie was excellent and filling . Loved their quiche onion tartine and fresh salad. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Cute restaurant in Huntington Beach located inside Old Wold Village. Charming vibe, great staff and menu was varied for a crepe restaurant. Ordered a Bellini and chicken and Brie panini. Was expecting a nice, warm, toasted sandwich. Panini was basically melty Brie cheese, chicken breast and mustard on a ciabatta roll. While the food tasted good, I was slightly disappointed in its presentation. Accompanied by a small salad and au gratin potatoes, which were tasty. Overall 8/10; and I would stop in again for something different.

Came to crème de la crepe on Saturday for brunch. We were seated right away. It's located in a cute area that gives off Germany vibes. They have a small indoor area and a nice outdoor area. We sat outside. Our server was quick and attentive. I ordered the Omelette de Provence. It was good, but the avocado was stacked in the middle hidden underneath and wasn't spread evenly. The potato was flavorful . The salad was nice, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce. The jam was fresh for the baguette was fresh! My bf ordered the hash with filet mignon. It was good, but there were barely any pieces of filet mignon in it. We sit the kat crepe which had strawberries and Nutella. It was delicious! Not too sweet.

Having flown in from Seattle for work we were desperate to get away from the Hyatt Regency for a little bit better food. So I turned to yelp. As we walked inside you are immediately taken by the charming atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming! From our amazing waiter Timmy to Misty our chef/owner. Every single dish was fantastic. From the French Onion soup with bone marrow, the Mac and cheese shareable, to the garlic bread with pesto.. But the entrees and desserts SHINED! I had the scallops while the other two had the 8oz hanger steak. Both steaks were cooked to perfection (rare and medium well) and the scallops were so buttery soft they melted in your mouth. The desserts was cheesecake with a raspberry gelee for one and a warm banana bread with ice cream and chocolate drizzle for the other. Even though we were all stuffed, the plates were worthy of a lick (although we restrained ourselves). So if you're ever find yourself in Huntington Beach and want to up your food game, come to this little gem. It won't disappoint. Will definitely be back next time!

Once I return to the states, I was always on the lookout for authentic French food which I became a keenly aware pretty quickly is a rare find even in Southern California. I was relieved to stumble upon bouillon in Newport Beach. The name alone says it all and seeing a boulangerie around the corner quickly won my heart. Walking into bouillon felt like walking into cafe in Paris. From the signage, chairs and iron tables I was quickly transported back. Reviewing the menu, I quickly knew I was in the right spot and giggled with excitement. I ordered all my favorite straight away; escargot, steak tartare with frites (you must add the egg yolk!), lyonnaise salad (on the menu it's listed as Salade Frisée aux lardon, lyonnaise is a regional name but I know the ingredients), a bottle of Sancerre, soufflé and two espresso. The meal was fantastic, so elegant, refined but made with simple ingredients you can taste. The service was leisurely and impeccable, the waitress was so knowledgeable and welcoming. Most people in the OC are more familiar with the chain bakery Moulin which serves French quick fair but the star of the show is certainly bouillon. We added the chicken because we were not having a lot of other protein for lunch, but I feel it altered the ratio of dressing to salad. I don't typically like a lot of dressing, but something slightly more acidic would have balanced out all of the rich food we were having. The greens and fruit were delicious and fresh. I would try it again, without the chicken. -recommend if you are in the mood. The french Onion Soup was delicious. It does take awhile, likely because they are making it fresh, so factor that in for time. The taste transported me to Paris, 30 years ago. Such a classic recipie. -strongly recommend. Creme brulee - we were stuffed. We didn't finish our soups, the salad, or the Croque Madame.... so that could have factored into my impression on the creme brulee. It was good and very classic. It was what you think of when you think of a very traditional creme brulee. I wanted it to be exceptional, but it was good. The espresso paired perfectly. - recommend for Creme Brulee lovers. My friend ordered the rice pudding abd she lived it. She said the pistachios were sich a lovely touch. I would definitely return and order the Croque Madame!

We both drank the Tempranillo, great wine! Bread + Ham Butter - aight, tastes sort of like chive creamcheese. Gambas al Ajillo - good, got to dip the rest of our bread Burrata - Fresh fruit with vinaigrette, good dish, we enjoyed it. Rack of Pork - I rarely get blown away but they nailed it. Must Order! Basque Cheesecake - Light and fluffy, delicious. We loved the food and the ambiance, service was friendly, great spot. We will come back to try some more dishes, the Steak Tartare was looking good.

Our server, Lee, was amazingly friendly and helpful throughout the night. - Salmon Cortada (Must get): Absolute favorite dish. It comes with two pieces featuring glistening, incredibly soft salmon over bread with subtle hints of sweetness and lemon. A remarkably complex and delicious bite. - Octopus (Second Favorite): Layered over a bright green sauce with a touch of chili. Perfectly cooked, super tender, and packed with flavor. - Anchovies: A fresh, oily, and satisfying appetizer to start the meal. - Braised Mushroom: Cool presentation with a poached egg in the center. Very tasty, though a fairly familiar flavor profile. - Elote: Tasted a bit more like a basic corn salsa than classic elote. Not my favorite. - Bread & Ham Butter: Sounded interesting. Personally wouldn't order this again, as I prefer a light whipped butter on rich, buttery bread over sourdough. - Basque Cheesecake: A solid dessert to end on. Tasty, not overly sweet, and the cheese flavor wasn't too overpowering. Parking in the back is quite tight with only about 5-6 spaces. There is also some street parking too.

We were craving French food in a nice quaint cafe and thank goodness Yelp brought us here. As…read morementioned in the other reviews, the decor and vibes really remind us of France. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The service is fantastic as well. Ordering several small plates and sharing an entree was perfect for us. The pate and bread is delicious with a nice sized portion. Ditto with the tampenade. Also can't go wrong with the escargot. The poutine was a pleasant surprise since it is loaded with beef bourguignon. Wednesday night is really nice since they have wine board specials at an amazing price point. To top it off, location, location, location!!! It's great to walk around after over-indulging.

Wow! What a gem we found in this Seal Beach French restaurant! I had seen this place many times,…read morebut hadn't paid much attention to it. We were walking by yesterday and stopped to look at the menu and decided we would give it a try. The decor is very much as you would expect in a French bistro. There are blue checked tablecloths and art on the walls, and a long bar along one wall. There is a gourmet market attached, which has wonderful gift items (reasonable priced!!), and, of course French food products and wine (with win be tasting!!). I think one sign was that French was being spoken by many in this restaurant. We were greeted right away, and we're told we could pick out table. Our server came quickly, and was so nice and accommodating. We came in a Monday night, when select tapas, draft beers, and bottles of wine are 50% off. Neither of us was very hungry, so hubby ordered a French beer (so sorry--i can't remember the name) and we ordered a few tapas. We got: *Escargot in garlic parsley butter with warm bread *Soupe A L'oignon Gratinee * Lamb pops in wine reduction served with ratatouille *Beef bourguignon First, let me say that the food was amazing!!!! So delicious! There was so much garlic butter to sop up with our warm bread and escargot---deeeelush! The lamb pops were perfectly cooked and the wine reduction was also perfection. The beef bourguinon was the best I've had, and the tapas size, which is supposed to be a half of the regular size, was so big. There was soooo much beef--no skimping here. I know we will be back many times. We left so full and happy!
