I accidentally came across the place when I was driving by. What intrigued me to stop was the fact that there was a farmers market right next to this food truck! I parked nearby and walked over to see what it was about. The Brookfield market was such a cute little spot where local farmers and small business owners come together and show off their produce and delicious food. This food truck was so cute and French asf! Cue the ratatouille music (they also sell it too!) they have a variety of savory and sweet crepes, drinks and even authentic French entrees if you're looking for something more upscale. I ended up getting the special of the day and WOW was it incredible! Fresh berries made it bright and the crème fraîche tasted amazing and homemade. It was filling and just the right amount of sweetness! The staff were super sweet and dressed up. If I ever find myself in this area again , I will definitely try their other food ! read more

This food truck hasn't been back for a while but the company has started a new dinner delivery service with a much more extensive menu (dinnerparfait.com). For now they are only delivering on Tuesdays and Thursdays to a limited area but luckily we got included in their Thursday delivery route so decided to give that a try. Today got our first delivery order of beef stew with rosemary roasted potatoes, eggplant rolls with shredded chicken, and sautéed zucchinis. Unlike the previous chilled version, these dishes are fresh from their kitchen and hot - depending on what time you get the delivery they are hot enough to be served without having to be reheated (we did have to reheat just a bit since we got our delivery at 4:30 pm). It's a real treat to get such a fancy and delicious meal delivered to your doorstep. Very reasonably priced too considering the quality and generous portions. Can't wait for next week to come around so that we can try the other menu items. read more

For St. Patrick's day they had a delicious corned beef brisket special that was unique and flavorful. The ingredients were quality and the flavor was fabulous. Wanted to check this place out after seeing this truck every so often. They have a lot of different types of crepes on the menu, but I decided to go with a dessert crepe. Instead of going with the typical banana/strawberry nutella crepe, I decided to order their Today's Special, which was Slices of Pear Drizzled with Chestnut Spread. It sounded delicious at first. However, I don't think the dish really went together because it was overly sweet and bitter from the pear. It was definitely heavy and fulfilling, but if you want something lighter and less sweet, I think the combo of banana and nutella would be the preference. In regards to the reviews talking about the service. They are not wrong at all, because it definitely takes them a long time to make crepes, and I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for dessert crepe that should take no more than 5 minutes. Food is good, but could be better. Service is slow, and could be a lot better! read more

These guys make such delicious sweet and savory crêpes! The crêpes are also huge--3 fed two adults for dinner and lunch the next day. My husband stumbled upon them outside an apartment building near our house and immediately our dinner plans for that night got an upgrade! We ordered 1 of each of the three savory options and 1 lemon butter and 1 Nutella banana. I was really pleased to see that they use a buckwheat batter for the savory ones, because I studied abroad in the part of France from which these come (Brittany). The ham and cheese one was my favorite, followed by the veggie, and the chicken one was also good. For the sweet, my husband loved his lemon butter one and my Nutella banana one was perfect. As I cut into it, I could see how thoughtfully they'd placed the bananas so that I got consistent bites. We can't wait to stop by next month and might need to hunt them down elsewhere in the DMV sooner! Tip: Add a fried egg on top of the savory ones. It's delicious, and many galettes come with one sunny side up right in the middle (they're served in a square shape with the middle open). read more

Super fun and cute idea for a truck! I always love trying the trucks that are different from the norm. The guys manning the truck were fun, decked out in their French attire. They ran with the whole French theme and it totally worked! Definitely slow service for a food truck, I believe I waited for more than 20min. I think they only have 4 crepe pans so obviously that's their limiting factor. I got the savory crepe special which had turkey, sauteed spinach, cranberries, and gruyere... basically a Thanksgiving crepe! It was good but I'm not sure worth the price or the wait. I had missed the salad add on (for $3) and honestly it wasn't enough for a full lunch. I paid over $12 for the crepe and a soda and had to get more food after. I was able to try out Crepes Parfait today and was super impressed with everything. The truck itself is great looking with a very French-inspired theme and music playing that just adds to the ambience. My wife and I got the veggie, ham & gruyere, and Nutella and strawberry crepes. The crepes themselves were delicious. I was worried that the veggie one wasn't going to be filling enough but it had plenty of spinach, peppers, and artichoke hearts--I would've loved another chunk or two of artichokes and/or maybe have them cut up a bit more to be able to get some in every bite but it was delicious. The crepe itself was savory, flavorful and light and held together well. I didn't get a chance to try the ham and cheese but my wife said it was perfect. The dessert crepe... what's not to like? It's a classic, known flavor with a sweet crepe and just enough Nutella to not make a mess and plenty of strawberries. The two gentlemen working the truck were great and got our food out to us quick. 23Feb21 - today I tried Crepes Parfait, a food truck serving crepes and hot beverages. As I walked up I noticed the music playing and received a friendly greeting from the staff. I ordered an organic chai latte, which was reasonably priced and delicious! After dinner, I returned to the food truck for a lemon butter crepe. This truck comes to the West End on Wednesdays. I always bring lunch on Wednesdays and stare out the window longingly at the truck. UNTIL THIS PAST WEEK. I was overjoyed to not have packed a lunch (for once) because it meant I could justify buying myself a crepe! I went out at 11:30, a bit early because I was starving and also I didn't want to deal with lines. The truck is adorable. SO cute. They play some French music and waiting in front of the truck with two guys smiling at you from under their berets makes you feel like you're in a kind of cheesy-in-the-best-way French cafe. TOO cute, you guys. The two guys working the truck were SO friendly, which was more than welcome on that rather dreary day. I got my crepe faster than I expected, but I didn't feel rushed or awkward or bored or any of those weird less-than-pleasant feelings you sometimes get waiting for your food at a truck. My Nutella & banana crepe was great. The crepe cone is good. It's basically like a Hot Pocket sleeve shaped like a pizza slice box. For your crepe. Good stuff. Just... everything good. Man. I only wish I had drizzled some of the simple syrup for the bottom corner of my crepe where the Nutella didn't make it, but it was good through and through and that's just my sweet tooth talking about the syrup. They offer both sweet (Nutella & Banana, Orange & Cinnamon, Lemon & Butter, etc.) and savory (Ham, Chicken, Veggie, etc.) crepes, as well as hot/cold beverages. I tried their 'Today's Special' for both categories - for the 'savory,' it was an organic buckwheat crepe filled with pork sausage crumbles, bacon, roasted bell peppers, and imported Swiss cheese), and for the 'sweet,' it was on white flour, filled with fresh apricots, honey, creme fraiche, and toasted walnuts). The ingredients were definitely fresh, and the crepe and the fillings themselves were super generous in size! However, I just wished that the fillings were served more hot at a higher temperature. To wash it all down, I tried their Mixed Berry Lemonade - this was absolutely refreshing and super delicious!!! It had a nice tartness to it, served super cold, and was just the right amount of sweetness! For a food truck, it is hard to find one that taste good around the DMV area. This crepe truck is pretty decent. I would say the wait time is between 10-12 mins, depending on how many people order. The crepes are made to order and one pan for savory and another pan for sweet. I got the savory crepe with ham/cheese and added sauteed spinach. It was a nice balance between ham, spinach and gruyere cheese. The crepe itself was very light and crispy. The ham was soft, not dry and it had a nice natural sweetness. The spinach had a subtle garlic taste and the gruyere made every bite creamy. All of the savory crepes are on a buckwheat batter and the sweet crepes are on regular flour batter. I've visited this food truck twice and here are my takeaways: 1. Service is PAINFULLY slow. Like 30+ minutes for a crepe. It's sort of insane. Crêpes Parfait stands out as a better truck to have a food truck experience. While certainly not overcomplicated, this truck serves really filling crêpes. Garlic sautéed spinach, marinated artichokes and roasted red peppers. And since I can't go for a meal without cheese, I added mozzarella. I ordered an iced café au lait, which was great. Within only a few minutes my crêpes were ready. The guys are pretty good at getting out their food fast, and you can watch them make the crêpes right in front of you. The balance of the artichokes, peppers and spinach was great. I'm a huge lover of spinach, so I didn't mind the amount of spinach. If you don't like cooked spinach, you could be out of luck. The concept and appearance are way cooler than the food is good. I love the setup of the truck -- from the distressed wood siding to the cafe bar overhanging with its little hooks for hanging things to the workers in their berets and aprons and French accents. The menu is interesting enough, and I'd definitely like to try their sweet crepes someday (maybe take one home for dessert). But for lunch, I of course wanted a savory crepe, so I had the veggie one. It was filled with spinach, artichokes and roasted red peppers. I like that the crepes are made from buckwheat -- great extra healthful touch there. The crepe itself was good, but the whole concept is just weird to eat. They put it in a paper cone like you could peel that back and eat it somehow, but it's just too sloppy for that. Get ready to have to dig in with a fork and knife, scooping up toppings as they fall out to recombine them in your mouth with the crepe itself. The hotness of the crepe with the paper cone they stick it in immediately captured humidity and started making the crepe soggy, just by the time I could walk back to the office. The crepe itself seemed almost as thick as a pancake, so not very crepe-y. This was a delicious lunch, but I wouldn't want it very often. It's just not very convenient to eat and doesn't seem to work as well as a food truck idea as it would in a diner or sit-down cafe. I've been wanting to try this truck as it seems to come to NoMa pretty regularly and I've passed it a few times. Today I tried the savory crepe special. It was a chicken salad with cranberries, celery, tarragon, apple, and crème fraiche instead of mayo. I thought it was really good. I'm not a huge tarragon fan, but I'm a sucker for good chicken salad, so wanted to give it a chance. It was very fresh, and went nicely with the flavor and texture of the crepe. I'm not sure if it is, but it definitely feels lighter/healthier than getting chicken salad on bread. I still couldn't eat the whole thing, only ate about half. With tax it was $13 which is a little pricey, but if I get two meals out of it, that's not too bad. Only thing lacking was a little more salt and pepper. read more

Overrated, and overpriced for the quality. These guys are slooow, miserly with portions, and use low quality ingredients. For example, the artichoke hearts look and taste straight out of a jar from a grocery store, and the ham is always tough and gristly (they don't cut off the tough rind either, so good luck chewing and swallowing those little bits of hard stuff). They also frequently forget simple additions (charging for them anyway, an extra dollar for a few leaves of spinach?) and don't allow omissions - which makes me think everything is pre-mixed in a bucket. I wanted a crepe with chicken, but no sun-dried tomatoes (said I was happy to pay full price) and they said "no, can't do it." Ridiculous. Yeah, their truck looks quaint, they wear cute outfits, and had a write up in the Washington Post - but it's all style over substance. Avoid. read more

In the world of DC food trucks...there's a lot of meh. Crepes Parfait is one of the best food trucks on the scene right now, in my opinion, and I agree with the high ratings. As others have mentioned, their food is fresh and delicious. You can always count on several savory crepes on their menu - categories of ham, veggie, and chicken. Today, as a special, they were featuring a lamb crepe. Intriguing, but I was feeling chicken. The chicken crepe comes with herb-roasted chicken, mozzarella, onion, and sun-dried tomatoes, and is delicious. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy (not an easy feat) and the cheese and veggies go really well together. I also love that they use organic buckwheat. The crepe was very filling, and it's under $8, which is a great deal, in my opinion (the specials can run slightly higher). One of these days, I'm going to branch out and try the ham crepe or perhaps the special, depending on what it is. My coworker had the ham crepe, substituted mozzarella for the Gruyere cheese, and added the dijon mustard sauce that they were actually featuring on the special crepe of the day...he raved about it. The guys who run the truck even dress the part and are always friendly and customer-service focused. DC may not be blessed with endless blocks of leisurely Parisian cafes, but can thank its lucky stars that it has the Crepes Parfait food truck. While I cannot pretend to be a scholar on French food, the crepes at Crepes Parfait are easily the most authentic I've eaten in the DC area. So far, I've only tried the savory varieties, and am thrilled to report that Crepes Parfait makes buckwheat (savory) crepes, which from what I gather, is commonplace in France, though virtually unheard of in DC. The ham-and-gruyere and roasted chicken-mozzarella-sundried tomato crepes are absolutely delicious. The buckwheat exterior provides nutty and complex flavors that meld beautifully with meat, cheese, and vegetable fillings. And Crepes Parfait doesn't sneak in slippery, flavorless deli meat into their parcels. They use the good stuff: carved, piping hot meats, and high-quality imported cheeses. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite between the two, and look forward to trying the veggie option (sautéed spinach, roasted sweet peppers, and artichokes) during a future lunch hour. In my three or so visits to Crepes Parfait over the past few months, I've usually gone with the Paris lunch, which gives you a hearty soup of the day for $3 with the purchase of a crepe. For about $11 you get one of the most satisfying and filling lunches you can procure at a DC food truck. My favorite soup I've tried is the butternut squash, which achieved perfect thickness and texture while boasting nice, but not too heavy-handed seasoning.
