I discovered this cafe this morning, and I think that it's a wonderful cafe to spend some time in. From the outside, the cafe appeared small and perhaps only offered carry out breakfast and lunches. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's quite spacious. There were more than several places to sit and work, and several customers were doing just that. There were many people either reading the paper or working on their laptops. Plus they have tables outside as well, which is where I started. I came in after 12pm and I was very cmfortable. I went for the spinach based avacadi salad and matcha latte. Then before I knew it, four hours had passed! The place was reasonably quiet, and the connection was good as well. I would definitely come back to this cafe in the future.

I am a bug connoisseur of crepes. And this place is VERY good. The strawberries were fresh and it was the right amount of everything. Coffee was ok. Nothing super special. But the crepes... amazing. Walked out feeling accomplished. The service was quick and friendly. The ambience of the place was pretty too!

I have been to Point Chaud a few times and only have good things to say about my experience! There is some limited indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff always try to be attentive and helpful with specific recommendations when asked. Although a little pricey, the pastries have always been so fresh and delicious everything I have ordered them. Most recently, I tried the Ham/cheese quiche and the almond croissant with the hot chocotella (has Nutella in it) and absolutely enjoyed them. They're are also sandwiches available and so many other options. Amazing cafe option for either a quick bite or a fun meal during the day!

My friend Mary really likes crepes. Like, really really likes crepes. She ranks those at Point Chaud as among the best. They have an extensive selection of both savory and sweet choices. On the sweet side, you can't go wrong with any of the Nutella combinations. I was really impressed with the savory options, especially the turkey, egg, and cheese crepe. This place can have plenty of seating or be swamped with campers with laptops depending on the time of day you visit.

Even on a bad day, you can have a good experience. Amazing crepes. Soft chewy crepe with fresh crunchy blueberry and a bit of ?honey? Coffee was excellent. No wifi. Cash only as credit card machine down. COVID system unclear (purchase and wait inside. No customers with masks). All staff wore masks. Will be back for a moment of relaxation. Not a workers cafe.

Good ambiance. It is almost like a European feel . However, the texture of the crepes is nowhere close to what a crepe should be. The apple was not fresh and it felt like eating styrofoam ( if you have tried it). Coffee was good. Nice place to get your work done as it was quite and had enough seating.

In need of sustenance, Point Chaud was a welcoming friend just a few feet from leaving the escape room. Not only was it conveniently located on the corner. It's a cute bistro style set up with plenty of seating in and outdoors. Due to the rain we sat inside. They have quite an extensive list of sweet crepes and probably about a quarter amount of that list for the savory options. My sister and I purchased two crepes, one savory and one sweet and divvied both to satiate our sweet tooth and our savory cravings. The feta crepe with chicken was tasty but was a bit on the salty side for my liking. The dessert crepe with chocolate, bananas and strawberries was divine! The iced matcha latte was okay, not bad but not outstanding either. Over all I was pleased with the service, atmosphere and most of all food! They also offer gelato, quiches, paninis and salads as well.

This is hands down the best place for crêpe in DC. They have a wide selection of flavors, and they're very affordable. I got a chocolate and strawberry crêpe (featured in the picture - the strawberries are inside) and I was not disappointed. I believe they have one or two other locations around the city, which is convenient for whem you're walking around and wanna stop at the closest spot.

May2023: 5: I came here during the graduation ceremony at the adjacent university. We ordered several items of interest and found that the service was decent. The food items were pretty good as well as the smoothie items. The five items we bought were also freshly made while we were waiting for them. The store was crowded with graduates, so it was tolerable to sit inside or outside. The cashier was capable and efficient. There was a decent variety of pastries and sandwich items available. There's no free parking in the area. There's paid street parking available and no dedicated lot.

Over priced and bland all around. Ordered 3 different kinds of crepes and a mango smoothie for my daughter, the smoothie was slushee and just a concentrated icy water mix. The crepes were flavorless and chewy as hell, their own utensils couldn't even cut threw them. It's as though they threw fruit and chocolate into a reheated crepe from the freezer and threw it on a plate. One of the crepes was missing a fruit I had ordered banana and strawberry with Nutella crepe only got bananas. The only decent thing on the menu was the salmon quiche. But even still that needed a little more salt. The size was small and not worth the price I could've made a whole 9 inch quiche for 70 percent of that price. Spent 60 dollars for these items. Waste of money

One day after a long/hot cycling session I decided to finally drop in and I'm so glad I did! The food was sooooo good! I came in ready to order the Le Mile End, but the server told me they didn't have all the ingredients (hence the 1/2 star deduction) but they recommended the clementine crepe and it was FIRE! I'm so glad they recommended this one because it would have gone under my radar. I got two additional dishes, but the names escape me and unfortunately I don't see them on the menu, but they were equally enjoyable. I love the interior, it's very clean/modern and it's right by the anacostia. I will be back soon when I'm in the mood for French bites.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!

Still, it was delicious and just as good cold the next day, which is my ultimate test since I can't ever finish anything in one sitting. Most importantly!
