Wanted a quick warm beverage and had the chai latte. It was exactly what I wanted and needed.

Came by this coffee shop when I was in the area. The coffee was good, just had a plain latte. My friend enjoyed the food and the pastry. The ambience was nice, I like that they sold Italian coffee and cookies. The best part about this place was not the coffee, but Andrew the magician! He made the experience 10 times better. He just came by and politely asked if my friends and I would like to see a magic trick. He was so lovely and kind, and even gave me a balloon animal. I was in the area, and my sweet tooth was kicking in when I came across this place. I've only ever been inside once, but that time, I just got a tea. Today, I decided to try their Nutella with banana and strawberry crepe. The whipped cream was a nice touch (I'm not used to having that on my crepes). It was delicious. The Nutella was melting in my mouth. I loved it. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back to try another one of their sweet crepes! read more

Cappuccino was not good at all. 2 of us tasted. The strawberry crepe was ok, but for the drink/crepe $18 a little steep. It talks itself up as an Italian coffee house but but none of the employees were. read more

Hosted a work coffee here around 10am on a Thursday. The coffee was decent and service quick. There were about 8 open seats (4 pairs of two). I can see this place getting filled during more peak hours and wish they would add more seating outdoors on nicer days like this one. read more

This little place has been here for a few years and I have not come in until now. I remember the Starbucks that used to be here and this place is a huge upgrade. The food, coffee, hospitality/service, is great. There is plenty of seating, as it looks like the floor plan was well laid out. Coffee is great and the menu is extensive, lots to choose from. That, along with wifi and some authentic products from Italia, this place is a nice spot to come experience. Looking forward to exploring that menu on my next visits. read more

A place where you can have desserts, snacks, or maybe a cup of beverage . Whether you are alone or with a friend. This place is perfect. We had 2 cheesecakes today. We tried the key lime cheesecake, and the "Java cheesecake". I am not sure about the name of the last cheesecake. But I believe it had coffee in it. Both cheesecakes had that balance level of sweet and sourness. It wasn't overwhelming at all. The drinks that was paired was a cup of coffee , and a chocolate banana shake. It was a pair that was match made in heaven. I would definitely go back not only for their food , but also their great customer service. There were smiles all around. read more

The last two visits were quite disappointing. I ordered ham& cheese quiche ( and repeated my order twice) but was given tomato&mashrooms one. It is not a quiche but rather a pizza dough with little filling ( barely 2 out of 5 for the taste). On the other visit, ordered gelato ( and explicitly asked for gelato) but was given sorbeto. Staff needs training. The only good thing at this place is coffee. read more

Scam criminal business. Do not go here. They deliberately have make menus up to confuse and exort customers. They make up their prices on the spot depending on what they think they can get the customer to pay. For example, I was there and the person in front of me ordered the same order I was getting, they charged them 35% less than they charged me. I at first asked them to explain they said that was the price but when I confronted them and informed them I knew what they charged the other customer they could only stutter and could not give a reason or explanation and then tried to offer me a cheaper price for my order to make up for it, clearly embarrassed they had been caught. Disgusting scammer behavior. Will be reporting the business and staff involved. Hopefully they are met with appropriate penalties to correct this or shut them down. Avoid like the plague. Ontop of all that, adding insult to injury, the food and drinks here are pretty nasty and low quality, the whole place is in disrepair and a gross dirty mess. read more

Great little coffee shop in Glover Park! Their drip coffee is delicious and they have a large variety of pastries and crepes on their menu. They also have oat and almond milk for an extra charge. There are many small tables with seating indoors and outdoors. Fast, reliable wifi is also a plus! I really enjoyed coming here to work/study, and I plan to return :-) read more

We were very excited to try this coffee shop since the Italian products are reknown. We ordered a croissant and cold brew Lavazza with milk. We were very disappointed with the service. But when she gave it , there was no milk added and she said we could help ourselves to cream (which curdled anyway) in a bucket with ice. The coffee was watered down with too much ice . I went here for a cup of coffee & a little bit of lunch with my boyfriend and there coffee was so delicious, like seriously so smooth and amazing. However, there food is not the best. I got the chicken pesto panini and my boyfriend got the eggplant one. The chicken was most definitely from a can and the bread barely had a crunch, no way it was fresh. Definitely super upsetting because the coffee was so good! The inside of this place is so cute though, they have little Italian treats and it's definitely a cozy spot. I will definitely go back for their coffee & to try a crepe but the paninis are a no! read more

My friend has an emotional support animal that is trained and very well behaved. As soon as we walked in we saw the manager hiding behind the counter and whispering to staff. Instead of approaching us to ask if our dog was a service animal or even seeing if we could go outside, they immediately asked us to leave. I think it's important to note that there were other patrons at the restaurant with dogs, and they were not asked to leave. We will be reporting this restaurant for not following the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and for discriminating against patrons with disabilities. read more

This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and would get an extra star if it did not have the most unwelcoming and shoddy entrance. The front of the coffee/crepe shop is a large patio overlooking Wisconsin Ave. which is broken up with multiple large and dirty cracks. A side wall on the patio is likewise dirty. New flagstone, brick or other surface, along with some nice potted plants, would do wonders for the inherently great space: as is I have no desire to sit there. The inside has been renovated and is really very pretty and comfortable. If only the outdoors would match the indoors.... The food. I ordered a banana crepe and though very large and full of bananas, something one does not always get even though this fruit is cheap and commonplace, the crepe itself was very dry and difficult to cut into. Maybe it was too thin? I don't know, but I hesitate to order another crepe, even though they have numerous savory and sweet choices that sound good. More batter? I don't know, but something has to be done to make this item, which is predominant in their menu, more palatable. The coffee, btw, is excellent. Correct this items and it will be difficult to find a seat at this basically very nice shop. read more

It's nice to have a neighborhood coffee shop again! The coffee here is the best in Glover pro (over Einstein or the Burleith Starbucks). And, I'm probably here 4xs a week. There's a wide selection of crapes. I had the strawberry raspberry one once, and it was good. But, really I come for the coffee. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I am impressed, Lavazza was certainly phenomenal. Despite the location, the rates weren't outrageous. Pretty much every menu item that we ordered was extremely fresh and tasty. All of the staff are extremely courteous - you most certainly feel welcome and looked after. So impressed, can not wait to go back to Lavazza. read more

Was standing in line for almost 10 minutes before i could order, which was strange since there was only 1 person in front of me when I entered the shop. I almost walked out a few times since it was taking so incredibly long. No idea what the several employees were doing. Then placing the simple order was difficult since the person at the counter spoke very little english, which seems strange for someone taking drink+food orders. The coffee was weak and tasteless. Some of the snacks and sweets were absurdly expensive. A small bag of swedish candy costs 7 dollars. The shop itself didn't seem that nice either. No idea what justifies the high prices, as several places down Wisconsin Ave in Gtown, which has a higher rent, have better coffee and baked goods for similar prices. Won't be returning to this place anytime soon. Hopefully the Whole Foods in Glover will open soon so that residents can get some decent coffee and baked goods without heading down to Georgetown. read more
