I'm never been a fan of savory crepes, but I LOVE sweet ones. Since most of the reviews here are for savory, I'll focus on the sweet. They were great. Just the right texture (too many places overdo the edges) and filling (mine was banana Nutella) was just right. Most other places tend to put in too much Nutella, which isn't as good as you'd think. Here, they drizzle it (hot!) over the fresh bananas, giving it a nice taste of chocolate and hazelnuts, without having chocolate sauce squirting out. The truck and the people, as many have said, are great. This has to be once of nicest trucks I've seen, with country-French accents both inside and out (I really like the hanging copper pans). The guys are friendly and seemed eager to please. Tip for those that can't handle the cones: ask for a piece of foil (if they don't offer it to you). It's easier to work with (sort of like a gyro) than the cone, for some. The only negative, and I'm not sure if this is really that big of an issue: my favorite crepe is a simple lemon/butter/sugar. This is what I (almost) always get when eating crepes. However, the posted menu said it was made with "lemon creme." I don't know what that is, but that just doesn't sound right to me. It needs to be freshly squeezed lemon, powdered sugar, fresh butter... and nothing else. Perhaps they found that "lemon creme" works better, tastes, better, or something. But I avoided buying my preferred creme because I felt I would be disappointed. (I know, I should have asked!). I also would have liked to see a more clear way to custom order. I'm sure, had I asked, they would have created what I wanted. But they really should offer a "base" crepe and then let you put on the "optional" items, as you want, at $1 and $2 each (note that the photos of the truck suggest that all are $1, but that's not the case). Despite these two things, which are more nit-picks than real problems, this was a good experience. One last thing to note: it takes time to make a crepe. You will wait in line. I knew this would be the case, so I arrived at 11:30. One person in front of me, so wait was fine, although it was still several minutes. Had there been any line, at all, I could see it easily taking 20 or more minutes to get your crepe. I'm not listing this as a negative because it's a simple fact of life when it comes to making good crepes. Just come and plan to wait. read more

Of all the food trucks I've tried around DC, Crepes Parfait is one of my favorites. Their food is fresh and delicious, and the service is always fast and friendly. While it might be cheesy to others, I love the rustic French accents and Parisian music playing in the background. I love the brass pots and pans hanging in the truck, the mini Eiffel tower used to store tips, the staff's cute uniforms (complete with black berets), and the irresistible fragrances wafting from their business. It's the closest I'll get to Paris around here, though it may only be the Paris made up to fulfill American fantasies. (Visited before, and while I can't say this is "authentic," the freshness associated with French food can be seen here. It also vaguely reminded me of the Paul stands I encountered in Paris where I could a chocolate croissant for around three bucks.) The savory buckwheat crepes are filling and brimming with good ingredients. I got the veggie crepe, which came with spinach, artichoke, and red peppers. To my surprise, there was no cheese in the mixture, or perhaps it was used very sparingly. In either case, I didn't feel like the lack of cheese detracted from the dish, rather I appreciated it. It was still very savory and tasty. The first time I tried Crepes Parfait, I also got their soup du jour, which happened to be a mushroom bisque, which was also very good. Today's soup du jour was a chilled peach soup. Not being a fan of chilled soups, I opted out, but I'm happy to see that they make use of seasonal ingredients and have a variety of options for customers. I have not worked in a neighborhood before that had multiple food trucks. I have been enjoying the variety....until today. Crepes Parfait makes me want the others to go away. I had the daily special savory, which was New Zealand lamb with artichokes and cheese sauce. At $13.99, it was quite pricey for a food truck item. But I swear, you would gladly pay twice that in a restaurant for this big pile of tender ( not a word you often use about lamb)meat pieces perfectly complemented by the sauce, all in a very tasty buckwheat crepe. I also had their three bean soup, $3 for almost a pint, also very tasty. I will definitely be tracking the location of this truck! read more

A variety of well-executed, unique and ultimately bland lunch options. I'm quite perplexed by the truck. The food here is very well done. The preparations are what you'd expect to receive in a sit-down restaurant. But this isn't a restaurant, and lunch food trucks aren't selling the mild sensibility of a quiet little place. At lunch I (usually) neither have the time nor the proper environment to carefully savor every bite. The bold and brash flavors of other trucks make a better fit to lunch time. I try to get out to the Food Trucks once a week, and thanks to FoodTruckFiesta.com, I saw that Crepes Parfait was going to be in my area. The menu enticed me to investigate Yelp, and the reviews sold me on giving it a try. What has been said before is absolutely correct - the gentlemen of Crepes Parfait have gone above and beyond is setting the French Cafe atmosphere - French music, beret's and cafe Uniforms, the wooden shutters on the truck, a few well placed fleur-de-lises all help transport the user to a French Cafe. I ordered the Herb Roasted Chicken Crepe, and I was not disappointed. The first thing that I noticed (while waiting on my order) is the portion size. Lets just say you will not go away hungry.. The Crepe itself was delicious, with a good amount of chicken (1/4 pound advertised) along with mozzarella cheese and sun dried tomatoes provided a wonderful combination of tastes. It was flavorful enough that I could actually tell what I was eating, instead of just knowing I was eating something. This was actually one of the tastiest things I've had from any food truck (where most dishes seem to run on the safe side of bland....) They are friendly, well organized, and compared to some food trucks I've been to, fairly prompt. with getting through the orders. And the price, at least for one of their standard savory crepes ($8.00), is quite reasonable when compared to other food trucks. My only (minor) complaint is that, at least by the time I got back to my office, the crepe wasn't a crispy as I had hoped. It felt more like eating an unheated, thick tortilla. But that is an issue I can live with, and it is highly possible that the crepe got softer on the walk back to the office. If you see the Crepes Parfait truck in your area, they are well worth a shot. read more

The service alone is why this gets two stars. The place is run exceptionally well, the staff is friendly. My wait in line was short, my wait for food was short - as it should be. They appear to know how to manage a line. That is a hard skill to learn. I had a terrible experience with the food. I ordered a ham crepe. Not only was the taste off, but as of this very moment I'm strongly considering ways of getting my stomach pumped or induce my own sickness - this is agony. To drink was this raspberry lemonade. I imagined that an award winning chef would know to cut both the bitter and the sweet, but instead neither were cut. The flavor is an onslaught of bitter AND sweet, and it's not tasty nor refreshing. This is my favorite food truck on Maryland Avenue. They always have good food, and they switch things up with a new savory crepe special and a new sweet crepe special every day. Their BlackBerry tea is delicious. The two guys that run the truck are efficient and very friendly. Make sure you get there early, or go after the lunch rush is over because the line gets long. I don't know of any places near the Union Station / NoMa neighborhoods that serve fresh crepes, so this is a nice addition to the weekday lunch rotation. Not only does this food truck have a super cute exterior, its crepes and tea are spot-on. I got a ham crepe and it had a surprising amount of tasty chopped ham inside, along with some deliciously melted cheese. Ham and gruyere crepe!!! Oh I love me some gruyere. The crepe was tasty and although they were busy the service was courteous and relatively fast. They have a diploma from the cooking academy hanging on the wall. About 3 crepe stations manned by one gentleman and the register and orders taken by another. In non French terms they were "crepe-ing" like a boss! They were both dressed like Parisians as their uniform with the menu in chalk. If you've ever walked down the streets of Paris you'd understand. I plan on trying something else next time they are near and who knows, I may bump my review to 5 stars. My crepe was tasty with real ham and not processed slices and the portion was good. I have always been a fan of anything "crepe" , so when I walked the food truck line and spotted this particular truck , I knew I had to try it. Be advised that if it's parked in the L'Enfant plaza area that the line will be long , but the men work at a decent pace and trust me , it's well worth the wait. I ordered from the "savory" menu list , and ended buying the ham crepe and the organic lemonaide. I liked that the lemonaide was on the tart side tasting like lemon and not cups of sugar. The crepe itself was wrapped nicely , so the savory juices that were inside didn't leak out on my work clothes as I walked back to my office. I looked out the window at work and had hoped to see the Everlasting Life truck on 12th st since I was in the mood for kale. I didn't see it, so I checked out the menus of the trucks close by. I loves crepes and haven't had one in forever, so I was really excited to read that Crepe Parfait had gluten free crepes! Looking over the menu, everything looked amazing and I couldn't decide between a savory or a sweet crepe. I texted my mom for her opinion on sweet or savory, and she said to just get both (after telling her what I ordered, she is now heading to a crepe cafe near where she lives in SC). This was the best advice ever!! For savory I got the veggie crepe with roasted mushrooms and for sweet I got the daily special, almond creme fraiche with strawberries plus toasted almonds. The crepes were steaming hot when I got them, and they were huge! The veggies inside the veggie crepe weren't greasy at all and had the perfect amount of seasoning. Definitely the best crepe I've had in a while! One crepe was very filling. I still have the sweet crepe left over, but there's a few more hours of work left and I'm looking forward to it. The guys running the truck were super friendly and always smiling.. And even though they were busy, they were quick and got all the orders right. I generally stick with the nutella and banana crepe since I love both of those things, but today it was lunch time so I bought a savory and a sweet crepe. I got the ham crepe and I spent my entire time eating it marveling at how delicious it was. The guys in the truck are absolute sweethearts. This is the first time I have ever loved a food tuck enough to follow them on social media, and I am thankful I do. I see other crepes trucks and they make me sad because they aren't Crepes Parfait They also gave me a button with their logo dude on it, it's on my laptop bag's strap, I look at it and smile on a semi-regular basis. As promised, their charming food truck was there the following Thursday and they remade my crepe the way I had originally ordered - with nutella. It was amazing! Everything I had hoped for and more! They were out of lingon berry preserves but i told them i was fine with the strawberry substitution. Their crepes are delicious! Perfectly prepared! I couldn't be happier and plan to frequent their truck when ever I am nearby. Additionally, I want to thank them for remaking the crepe for free so it included everything I had originally ordered. They are a very respectable business. They also showed me a better way to use the container to enjoy your crepe while walking (as promised - again, a very great business). A food truck that delivers - figuratively. Despite working at Metro Center, I rarely eat at a food truck for lunch. When I do, I tend to stay on the cheaper end of things. But today I splurged and had the Rosemary Dijon lamb and spinach crepe. I expected it to be excellent, and it was better than expected. Great balance of flavors. Nice thin crepe that could still stand up to the hearty filling. Plus, I loved the truck itself which mimics the look of a window front in Provence. I tried their savory special today, a crepe with roasted leg of lamb, sauteed spinach, and a rosemary-dijon sauce. The ingredients are obviously very high quality, particularly the meat, which is sometimes hard to find in a food truck, and the crepe was stuffed with meat and spinach. They definitely don't skimp on the fillings here. Service was pretty quick and the owners/chefs were friendly. For the quality and quantity of the crepe, the prices are definitely reasonable. My one complaint, however, is that there was an overwhelming amount of sauce. While it goes really nicely with the meat, if you want to taste the flavors of the lamb and spinach, you probably only need a 1/3 or 1/2 of the amount of sauce. I'll definitely try them again, but perhaps a crepe that doesn't come with a sauce. read more

They were super flexible and accommodating to both our and the property manager's requests, and came very early to prep and set up, which we really appreciated. I love this truck. It is one of my top five favorites. The food is fresh, the men working in the truck are pleasant, and while it is not super fast my cooked to order crepes don't take very long at all. So worth the short wait. I almost always get both a savory and a sweet crepe. The special sweet crepe always calls my name. The crepes are big and I can't eat one in one sitting even though I am a fairly big eater for a woman. I end up eating my dessert crepe later in the day cold, but it is very good this way. I am sure my dog would prefer I eat somewhere else because there are no leftovers for him. read more
