Crescent Dental will tell you that they accept your insurance policy for your root canal procedure on the phone, but when you get there for your appointment and you are sitting in the dentist chair they will tell you that additional codes are not covered by your insurance and you owe them an additional $530 on top of what your insurance pays them, which is $560. So in fact they collect $1,090, which is the normal price anyway. They make you get out of your dental chair, go to the front office, and pay with your credit card immediately. I do understand that it is only about money, but they lie to you by not telling you in advance that they will get their full fees out of you one way or another. My mother asked me to set up a dentist appointment for her before the end of the year. Me, knowing that the holidays are among us knew it would be extremely difficult to be fit into any doctors office. Lucky for us , I Just got off the phone with Gina at Crescent Dental and she was such a charm and got us in before the end of the year and with a Spanish speaking Doctor (so now I don't have to go with her) lol! I first discovered this place because it is in the same plaza as my favorite restaurant (La Bamba) and they take my insurance. This was over ten years ago. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. Mario, the dental hygienist, is very nice and knows what he is doing. Gentle, but gets the job done. I'm not sure if Gina is still there (she had a baby a while ago) but she used to run the front and is friendly and does her job well. Will keep going back. Only thing they can improve on-think they should update the looks of the of the office and its astethics, which is a little out dated. read more

If I could give them no stars I would woman at the front desk is right along with her review as being disturbing had a bad abscessed tooth they gave me antibiotics and Motrin and said it was so bad had to take the antibiotics for a couple of days before they could do anything for me and I tell you the pain was way beyond Motrin they refused to give me anything else for pain and go to my primary doctor to see if they would give me anything else for my pain my doctor told me they were able to give me pain meds and I have it in writing after my extraction of my severely abscessed tooth they still refused me pain meds they are kinda barbaric there if you like pain this is your dentist talking to another friend about my visit said they went there and was told they had 8 cavities they went to another dentist and was told they only had one beware of this dentist read more

I have been a client since there inception, I was a hold over from the previous practice, I'm writing this today because I live this practice and I love that for years now the hygienist Mario has been taking care of my teeth and looking after me. He always looks out for any problems that may be just getting started, he keeps my teeth and my entire mouth running at 100% Mario and the rest of the staff like Gina and Donna the owner are always looking to keep my teeth and overall health top priority! I appreciate all you do! I appreciate that Mario and Gina have been working there for ever, this shows me they know what they are doing by the longevity of there employees. I have been going to Crescent Dental for almost 5 years and my wife has been going there at least 20+ years. I "always" have amazing visits at Crescent Dental and it always starts with Gina who manages the office and makes you feel like she is part of her family. Gina goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel comfortable about your visit. Her professionalism and work attitude is refreshing from the moment you walk in the door. Samantha, receptionist, is also very kind and thorough when it comes to mapping out future financial programs that might be considered with care. Mario is my Hygienst and is the absolute best!!! Mario takes time to thoroughly give you the treatments needed while delivering gentle care as he goes through the cleaning process. Heather, the dental assistant, provides top rated care and makes you feel that you are her only patient that day. The dental staff is extremely well versused in updated practices. I have had several procedures with great success. What is crazy about this review is that I know everyone's name at my dental office and can't remember half the names of my family members!!!! Had been a patient for 10-15 years until today. Had a consult with a specialist to get an estimate for an implant. When I made the appointment, the clerk at the desk, Samantha told me implants weren't covered under my insurance and the consult would be $105, I said OK. I left with the belief that my insurance wouldn't cover the cost. As I was sitting waiting for the dentist (who was already twenty minutes late), my husband called to tell me that our insurance would cover 30 percent of the cost. When I told Samantha this, she said she told me that but that their dentist was not in network. This was a BALD FACED LIE! She said my insurance wouldn't cover the cost of the implant. She proceeded to argue with me. I told Gina, the other lady at the desk, that they had lost a patient and walked out. I have never had a problem with them before. Gina is always pleasant, professional and knows her stuff. Mario, the hygenist is personable and efficient. Samantha, however, should not be allowed to interact with patients! She does not know her stuff and is completely unprofessional. read more
