SO GLAD I GAVE THEM A CHANCE! I was going to pass on this place because they had some bad reviews but because I was short on time and there was no other cars in the queue, I decided to give them a chance and I'm SO GLAD that I did! A guy ran up to my car as soon as I pulled up and was very friendly. He was so humble that I didn't realize he was the manager of the car wash. I brought up the negative reviews and he assured me that they would do a good job on my car. They actually did an EXCELLENT job on my car! I had taken everything out of the side pockets and middle console and they vacuumed and cleaned out everything. And it was, I'm embarrassed to say, a total mess! The guy who did everything worked so hard, he was sweaty (not stinky sweaty just hardworking sweaty) by the time he was finished. And this is on a cool day in January! Despite the bad reviews, I would give this place a chance. Maybe because of the bad reviews, they've stepped it up a few notches and far exceeded my expectations! Disappointed that's all I can say. Come filthy and leave dirty which is pretty sad after spending a total of almost $28 for a car-wash. Location: Located on the NW corner and Walker Street and Crescent Ave in beautiful La Palma lies this brush-less car wash business. Atmosphere: It is a gas station/ car wash so don't expect any fancy, they do have plenty of seating inside and on the outside patio along with some benches on the side. Service: I chose the premium car wash for my company vehicle because it has trough quite some rain the last couple of months. Finally, with the sun being out again and the truck of being cleaned I chose this location and figured I will give them a try. First the vacuum the inside which they did an alright job, second the vehicle went through the brush-less tunnel and was then turned over for drying and detailing. While they did a good job with the windows the rest of the service lacked on my expectations. There were several areas on the dashboard with still dust present and a 5-year-old could probably have done a better job. Wiping the car free of water and dirt was a complete miss and I should have inspected the vehicle closer before leaving. I personally enjoy washing and detailing car and honesty it is not rocket science, imho. I honestly think that they did a poor job and hope you will have a better experience? I waited and my car 10 minutes before I got out and spoke to the cashier who was on his cell phone. then I asked how long it would be before I got helped went back to my car and waited another 5 minutes so I started vacuuming myself. I've been going to this car wash for over 15 years. They have always given me a card that they stamp at each car wash. When I have earned eight stamps I get a free car wash. Two and a half stars is the right rating for this car wash. Still got streaks on the windshield and the windows. I saw the vacuum hoses right in the beginning, and saw the guy vacuum but for some reason floor looked the same because I saw the same gum wrapper on the floor I threw before I got out of the car to get it washed. I feel like the car conveyer was a little out of date. They have to manually scrub the car. It didn't look well done because for one the soap wasn't enough and second the guy didn't even really scrub well. Crescent Car Wash is family-owned and they are really professional and friendly with their clients. The owner also doesn't mind giving me some cash back on my credit card so I can use it as a tip for the car washers. The car wash also functions as a convenience store, so you can always pick up a few other things while waiting for the car to be washed. Even if you opt for the regular car wash, which is currently $9.99, the shine and the quality of the drying that the "lavacarros" do are top-notch. They use air brushers as part of the washing and really streak-free window cleaners. They also do a good job of vacuuming the inside before the wash and cleaning the spokes in my rims, which are always a pain to clean manually. They also dress the tires, which is always really cool of them. I just advise that if you have any loose items, that they be removed, otherwise you have the liability of it getting sucked into the vacuum. I almost had this happen once with a loose console button in my car. They also have a punch card system whereby you get 9 washes and the 10th one is a free Luxury Wash. That includes additional waxes and tire shine. The scents are always free and I opt for cherry 90% of the time. They also include a tire cleaning as part of the regular car wash. Considering all this work, they do this all in about 20 minutes. Where else can you get a better deal for an end result that's stunning in short time like this? Go swing by and give it a shot. This place has my highest recommendation as far as car washes go. read more

I used to always go to the car wash on Knott and Lincoln but since they closed down, I started coming here. A car wash that's paired with a Mobil gas station??? I'm down to check it out! I really like the seating areas inside and outside! You can watch TV while sitting inside or enjoy the sun and fresh air by sitting outside! Another thing, you can enjoy the sound of the water fountain that's outside! I personally enjoy buying a nice cold drink from their wide selection and sitting outside. I wouldn't say their washing is horrible but it's not that amazing either. There were times that the vacuuming was not up to par and there were times that I felt they could have done better, but other than that I haven't had that bad of an experience. The guy with the long hair and facial hair who writes your ticket is always friendly. I've never had any issues with him or anything. I did find out that his favorite air freshner scent is baby powder because that's what I chose last time. I was disappointed that the last time I went, they didn't give the baby powder air freshner that I requested. PS. If you want to smoke, go towards the street where the tiny brick wall is. I brought my car in at 11:49am and there was 2 cars in front of me. It is now 12:37pm and my car FINALLY came out from the wash cycle. All of the cars were dried off and those customers left and then there was no one around. No one came to talk to me about it being late or that everyone decided to take a break at the same time! When I asked for my cash so I could tip the worker he responded by telling me they don't give cashback for tip and that is how it's always been done. That is a lie! Is that even legal to do!? This is my second time going to have my car washed. First time it was not the best but I figure give them a second chance right? Wrong. As I am watching I noticed that the guy was cleaning where the hood and windshield meet I have a tree that had left some love more like debris leaves, flowers twigs. I can see he is up set. For one did you not check the car before you stuck it in the wash? Get the air hose and blow it out not rocket science. So when he was done I go check out the outside it's like it's been wiped with dirt so I am assuming that the cloth was dirty now that's just me assuming don't take my word now. I ask him about the tree stuff he tells me it clogged the vacuum okay they have a sucker 6000 I have a old Bissell. I tell him why did you not use air hose? No he said it will get all over the ground! I just shook my head ok let's move on. I open car and my drivers door is not even wiped down. I ask him to wipe it he does then I go to other side of car outside still looks like it's been wiped with dirt ask him to wipe it down. Now it's like a game and I don't have that time or patience today. So I get in car and look around see pictures! I was outside in sunlight so can't show the outside dirt wipe but maybe will upload later don't want you all to miss out now! So my second time will be my last time cause I am assuming that's me assuming again that he did not like my car or to clean it. I'm taking surface streets from Buena Park to Cerritos to pick up food for a B-day party. I see this car wash and my car is dirty so I make a last minute decision and turn in. PRICE: $10 ($9.99) for the "basic" wash. SERVICE: They were quick to fill out the ticket and "try" to sell me an upgraded wash/wax. They rushed through the vacuuming because there were still a few small bits of paper and other stuff on the floor. They were either disorganized or short staffed because the guys inside "washing" the cars were also driving on and off the rack. They had to stop the conveyor to get caught up while I was watching. And... they missed a few spots on my car. They guy drying the car did a good job of getting the door jambs, edges, etc and all that so I won't have erroneous drips and streaks. However the some of the glass (windshield, etc) had streaks both inside and out. OVERALL: I've giving a generous 3 stars because my car was definitely clean(er) both inside and out and looked much better. But with streaky glass and a couple missed spots on the outside, it should be 2 stars. read more

Switch the damn towel already! This place is garbage. They will try to upsell. The vacuum girl only worked on the trunk for 5 secs. I had some stuff in the trunk but easy to work around. I thought maybe things looked clean in there so she didn't bother but nope got home and there was obvious grass bits everywhere. Car was not well rinsed after running through the machine. Shampoo bubbles running off of it. Wipe down guy was complete BS. Only used 2 towels the whole time, only sprayed the quick detailer a few times, completely ignored the wheel wells and lower portions of the car, streaks everywhere. I should have just hosed my car down. I had to go over the whole car with detailer when I got home to get the streaks out. Theres a reason this place is empty on a sunday afternoon and pauls down the street has cars falling in the street. Never coming back to this place. read more

Mon-thurs 7.99 Sometimes I bring my senior citizen father to get the 6.99 senior pricing :) minus one star for the cashier, who I found not-so-friendly today. I haven't been here in 9 months or so. I went to Crescent hand Car Wash today (about 2:00 PM, 5/23/12) to get my FREE car wash that I EARNED after purchasing nine car washes but I was told by the young woman at the counter that they would NOT honor it because it was (supposedly) issued by the previous owner of this car wash. 1. My, "Your 10th Regular Car Wash FREE" card that was given to me by "Crescent Hand Car Wash" (SAME name it has today) DOES NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE. 2. NOWHERE on this card does it state that it is not valid if the car wash is under new ownership or management. 3. When I asked t speak to the owner I was immediately told that he was not there (again, this is about 2:pm in the middle of a weekday) nor did she offer the assistance of a manager. So, if I had been a regular customer who was unsatisfied or had an issue with my car wash that day I wouldn't have been able to speak to the owner OR a manager. I guess I would have been told to come back when one of them was going to be there-- whenever that would have been. So much for customer service. 4. I can only guess that if I HAD received my free car wash it would have put them financially in the red. Why else would this person not honor an EARNED free car wash? This issue of not honoring a customer-merchant "agreement" only demonstrates their complete disregard for customers and potential future business. A business owner is VERY fortunate if he is doing so well he can afford to turn away business during these difficult financial times. Just went to this car wash and they did an excellent job with my car, especially for the price. Paid a little extra for the wash with wax but definitely worth it. I like to take care of my car so I was very happy when it came out looking great. The place looks brand new and is super clean and staff was also very friendly and efficient. I was in and out pretty quick, which is great cuz I am always busy and on the go. If you're looking for top notch wash at a reasonable price this is definitely your spot! I was a customer for years, but not now. I will not be back to this place. The new ownership is clueless. When I was here a month ago, I caught the workers in the washing area using a BROOM to wash all sides of my car, including the roof. Sure enough, it left swirl marks all over the painted suraces. I told the manager but he didn't seem to care too much. A week later, I had a professional detailer wax my car at a cost of $200. Today (10/03/15), I brought my car back because I needed it washed quickly. I asked the attendant to make sure they DO NOT use the brush to wash my car. He assured me that they do not use a brush anymore. As I watched the car go through the wash area, Those lazy employees used the brush again all over the car! I banged on the window, but they did not hear me. They said the brush has soft bristles. But the brush was worn out and the bristles are matted and flat. The man who came up to me did not greet me and simply had his pen and pad ready waiting for me to say something. I know it's just a car wash but can I get a "Hello" or "What can i do for you?" I reluctantly chose one of the full service hand car wash for $14.99. As I left my car, I headed to the cashier to pay and I received horrible customer service once again. I didn't hear a greeting or a thank you. I didn't even get a smile... My car went through the wash and I watched them dry my car. I thought it was a decent job, however I saw a bunch of smears from their chemicals that they used and there were water spots everywhere. They did not deserve a $3 tip. I could have gone through an automated car wash at a gas station and got the same job. I gave them two stars because the place is clean. I've gone to this car wash for years and it recently went through an ownership change. Ever since the change, they haven't done a good job on my car. Every visit, they either don't put the *paid for* tire dressing on, or they don't clean the center console or inside of the car very well. They do a thorough job of cleaning the outside of the car, but just neglect the inside and the tires. I'm sad to say that I'll be needing to take my car elsewhere to get cleaned. :( read more
