My unit has had minor roof leaks over the years, but in fall 2018/spring 2019, with the major rains we had, the leaks got really bad. My ceilings were stained with ugly yellow water stains that just kept getting bigger, and rainwater was even starting to come through the drywall and dripping on floors and furniture. After speaking with my HOA, I reached out to a number of companies for estimates for roof repair or replacement. I contacted Greencast for an estimate via Yelp and they got back to me within a couple of hours and set up an appointment for that week. Barak came out and met with me and provided an estimate for the replacement of my unit's roof. After a while, the other homeowners decided that we should replace the roof on all 3 units, so I reached out to Barak to see if he could give me an estimate for roof replacement for the entire complex. He did so within a couple of days, in a written estimate that was clear and easy to understand. The estimate included having a painter come and fix up the stained paint and cracked drywall on the inside of my unit. At one point, Barak let me know that he accidentally left a charge out of the written estimate, but he said that he would not revise the estimate because he wanted to keep his word as he knew the HOA was working off of the prior estimate. I was impressed by his integrity. During this time I was getting estimates from other roofing companies. In all, I obtained 4 estimates in addition to the one from Greencast. Greencast's estimate was the lowest by several thousand dollars. This made me a little suspicious because I wondered if they'd missed something or were going to use cheaper materials. But with the other companies, I had to call them repeatedly just to get them to send me an estimate. They never followed up and didn't seem eager for our business. They also said they had no idea when they could start our project as it wasn't a high priority for them (they had other larger residential and commercial projects to work on). I figured if it is was that hard to get them to send an estimate and if they were that unenthusiastic at the start, it would only get worse and I didn't want communication issues with them once the project started. In the end, we went with Greencast and I'm so glad we did. It was super easy to communicate with them, especially with Barak who responded to text messages quickly, called me to explain all of the details, and who responded to my emails and questions at all hours. I felt like I was always in the loop and never lacking information. The project started and we saw roofers at our complex every day, starting before 8:00 a.m. as Barak promised. The roofers were courteous and very pleasant and took all steps to avoid inconveniencing us. Unfortunately, completing the project took a little longer than we thought, but that is because it kept raining and the rain delayed the completion. Obviously I don't fault Greencast for that. As soon as the weather cleared they were back on it and the whole project was done within 2 weeks. When the roof was done, one of the homeowners asked if the "lower roof" (the small portion that hangs like an awning over our balconies and driveway) had been done. Barak came out and met with us and confirmed that his roofers had not done the lower roof, so he sent them out immediately and they completed that project at no extra cost. The painter that Barak sent was also very meticulous and prepared. He finished the project all in one day. When the roof work was done, the roofers stopped by to clean all of the debris from our yards and patios, which was quite considerate. I would definitely recommend this company and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Even when there was a little extra work to do (patching around doors, fuse box) the price didn't change. We met with a few contractors including Ferney and received bids from all of them and nothing came close to the bid we received from Ferney. Also, the other contractors did not give us a clear price and told us that things could cost more as we got into the construction. With Ferney, we received a clear bid for the complete project and a timeline that he stood by as well. He managed to finish the kitchen on the day we were moving in which was unbelievable considering he did it in four weeks start to finish and stayed late on many nights throughout the project to make sure it was done on time. We also had to redo the flooring and paint throughout the entire house. I received many bids and many of the contractors were flaky or could not starts when we needed them to. Seeing that Ferney was doing a great job on the kitchen, I asked him to do the floors and paint the house as well and him seeing my frustrations with other contractors, he decided to take on those projects as well. I cannot say enough good things about Ferney. He stood by his words, delivered on time, and was honest throughout this whole process. We met as two people doing business together and became great friends throughout the process. He took a lot of time for us to show us all the different options for cabinets, materials, etc. He came up with a great 3D model for our kitchen and he worked all of our needs and wishes into the model. When the actual work began, he was always on time, super nice and forthcoming to our neighbors and very efficient. The kitchen was ready 3 days before the time he said he would need. I had no knowledge until I got a letter from Synchrony saying "our request for credit increase was denied!" What?? What increase?? She even requested an increase without my knowing the account was even opened! The audacity! I have since reported account as fraud, had to call all credit bureaus, and filled claim with BBB. I will also be going to file police report once I obtain statement of charges to credit card! Now, she is sending cheap threats to put a lien on my home for work she never provided! She claims she had her "engineers and architect work so hard and plans were already submitted by Monday" after canceling the Friday before. The project manager kept the project moving and avoided unnecessary delays. When problems arose, he was quick to find solutions. Of particular note, the demolition, flooring and tiling crews were excellent. BEWARE! Do not work with this company!! I lost my house…read morelast January in the Palisades fire and was finally moving my family into a mobile home that needed bathroom tile installed. First, Armik sold me defective tile (it was on closeout so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect) but it was stained and cracked and unusable. But worse than that, he kept over $2,000 of my money for work he never did!! His guys spent only 3 hrs installing a small amount of hardbacker and then abandoned the job. Other workers were there that day and can corroborate. At first Armik denied they left. Then he said they'd come the next day but they never showed up and he wouldn't answer my messages. I finally tracked him down in person at his shop and after yelling at me, claiming everything was my fault and acting like a two year old having a tantrum, he finally ADMITTED that his workers refused to come in for fear of ICE raids and he had no idea when he could install the tile. I was sympathetic to his workers but we were moving into the trailer within days and my kids needed a working shower (which he knew) so I had no choice but to hire someone else. Armik refused to refund over $2,000 of the money I prepaid him for tile install even though they never installed any tile! He claimed he was entitled to keep it for the 3 hrs of hardibacker work!! DISHONEST. STAY FAR AWAY. He will always blame the client and take no responsibility.
