    The grill

Creta is a Greek themed food truck located within Gastro Telefonica. And it is one of the reasons why Gastro Telefonica is such a great hub to dine at. I have come to Creta three times and I have had a great dining experience each. Creta is awesome for several reasons. First, the menu has delicious items that many should enjoy such as pastas, steaks, salads, etc. Creta is also great because of the setup. The grill is front and center while the other preparation area is above inside the food truck. I always get joy out of watching the fire cook the steaks. The service is another thing as well. On my recent visit I stood nearby while I waited for my order, and then the cook told me he would bring my plate to my table. I have had the steak and vegetables and on a separate occasion the Sirloin Sandwich. The Sirloin Sandwich has aguacate, tomatoes, onions, spinach and perfectly grilled steak. The prices are just right and the food truck seems very clean. And as I say about many places in Baja California, I am already ready to return.

I highly recommend visiting in Tjiuana the Telefonica Gastro Truck park. One food truck you must try is Creta Mediterraneo.

It was a toss up with rock, paper, scissors between The Pita and Rubios. Although The Pita won the toss, it definitely lost on value of money and taste of food. First, on the positive side, the customer service is excellent and efficient. Basically, you choose four ways to make your meal, add a sauce and boom you're done. You know how Subway has a variety of sauces and fresh veggies to put on your sandwich? The Pita has a similar model with less choices. You could choose a pita, bowl, tray, and, and...fuhgot. On the disappointing consumer side, everything is an extra cost. The business nickels and dimes for anything extra. Rather dollars for everything extra. The meal deal only includes a $4.00 drink and no fries. The small choice of the four is 8.50 and the large is 12.00. STFD. I am beside myself. I am an expert of dining out at eateries even while considering increased costs within a mall location. I purchased a chicken schwarma wrap and a gyro wrap, both were 19 bucks and some change! We were parched because I refused to purchase a soda for 4 dollars and there is no self serve refill. And to top it off, I love fries. I was denied my fries craving because that would have been an additional 5 bucks. Trust me, I'm no cheapie and I'm financially fortunate but I know value and this ain't it. A similar eatery is Luna Grill, sort of. I would not recommend this eatery because the value and overpricing customers is disappointing. Both wraps were lukewarm, although plenty of toppings. The meat was seasoned---enough. Yet, there is no salt or pepper available. Period. Smh. If you are eating at the mall, choose another eatery. If your hunger can wait, eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, The Pita did not deliver.

Absolutely overpriced with $20 for rice with like 10 pieces of chicken and nothing elseread more

Between these 3 dishes you learn just about everything one needs to know about the quality, presentation, and flavor of the food in the restaurant. I opted for Tabbouleh and the Greek Salad. And, honestly, this is some of the best Tabbouleh I've ever enjoyed. For those who aren't familiar Tabbouleh is a Levantine salad made primarily of finely chopped parsley, bulgur wheat, tomatoes, mint, and onion, seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice. It is traditionally served cold and is a popular dish in Middle Eastern cuisine. It's actually one of my favorite foods--when prepared right. Unfortunately due to the spraying and farming practices in the states I stopped being able to tolerate wheat products. However, it's been said that in Mexico the wheat is not so highly processed, so I am trying out the theory. Later: I had no reaction to this grain. It was absolutely delicious and a treat to be able to eat and tolerate without a reaction.

We always sit down for a meal, then head next door to their coffee shop for dessert--luxurious, European-style treats that never disappoint. Chef Dimitri really knows what he's doing. The food is consistently excellent, and this has become one of our favorite restaurants in Tijuana.
