Working at crew Barber was a deeply negative experience for me, marked by consistent stress and tension that sharply contrast with the relaxed atmosphere the owner, many, promise. After about a year , the Relentless pressure and negativity became unbearable, forcing me to leave for the sake of my well-being . ( it felt like a cinder on my chest ) My central complaint about crew barber shop is that it operates more as a destructive hangout than as a professional barber shop . People often gather inside , speaking loudly, drinking liquor, getting drunk, and smoking weed in front of the business. At times, up to eight people will be inside without receiving haircuts and acting obnoxiously. I almost had three fights. Additionally, the shop failed​ to manage appointments properly ; favoritism led to inconsistent scheduling and biased pricing based on the customers race . And lastly, I noticed The Barbers were not fair with the walk-ins when it was my turn to cut . I have said enough because writing this also drains my energy read more

This place just opened a few blocks from where I work and I absolutely love it. First of all, the shop smells amazing. I felt like I was walking into a spa. Not sure if it's the new wood furniture, but it's a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. They had fresh flowers and the place is beautifully designed. Manny, who is the owner and currently the only barber, is very friendly and communicative about how he cuts your hair. He's a true professional, as he's been cutting hair for 17 years. At one point, I almost fell asleep because he was being so gentle and subtle. As a woman, I like going to barbers for short haircuts, as they are typically better than salons. I decided to try Manny because my old barber wasn't very good at styling my hair. I thought Manny did a great job at creating the look I wanted and walked out feeling confident and sexy. At $35 a haircut, this place can't be beat. AND, I got a hot towel. Which was amazing. read more

The Barbershop itself is designed to make all of the customers feel comfortable, however I don't think most people care how nice a place looks as long as their haircut is tight. I get my haircut with Manny and my 7 year old gets his haircut with Andres. I can honestly say that I don't have to look at the mirror ever when we are getting our cuts. I tell them what we want and let them do their job and walk away satisfied every single time. They take a certain pride and responsibility in their craft which is to be commended, you never get the feeling like you're being rushed just to get the next guy in the chair. This is one of the most decent barbershop in NYC hands down! I highly recommend this place. Eddie cuts my hair and he's very skillful and precise! He gives everyone that personnel touch and time. Yes, I may wait a little longer (sometimes) for my cut but, I respect the patents and attention everyone is given when they are in the chair. I always look and feel amazing. Their cuts are more expensive then most shops but, their equipment and shop is cleaner than most shops. No bumps on your neck or face. If you are looking for a new barber look no further.
