I go to Eli and he's the man. He's super kind and nice and is extremely friendly. Whenever he gets phone calls he's quick to ask the person to call back and focus on the customer. Really appreciate that. He also gives great cuts and I've gotten cuts from other barbers at this spot and everyone is great. The value is also there, prices have gone up a bit but a very small amount in recent years. This is understandable due to inflation and having to recoup lost revenue from the initial covid lockdown. I moved back to New York about 2 years ago, and was looking for a good barber close by with no luck. I jumped from barber to barber to barber, barbershop to barbershop. The barbers were too rough, unprofessional, or just plain terrible. You ask for a certain haircut and they pretend like they know exactly what you want, just to get you in the chair, and then just to screw your head up. I thought I found a decent barber, but then he became very inconsistent, every time I went to him it was like I got a haircut from a different person each time. I was about to give up. Then my close friend recommended Nick at nicks barbershop. I finally found MY BARBER! Nick is a very good barber, top 2 I ever had in my life. He is very polite, and extremely professional. His barbershops aren't a big hangout spot and a big party doing everything except for taking care of the customer like some other places. Everyone is very polite and are there to take care the customer. Nick respects and cares for each and every one of his customers, and makes sure you are comfortable, and happy with every haircut and visit.
