We initially went to MicroCenter Tustin to purchase a PC for my son. We were going to get the parts…read morethere and have MC build it. After meeting with Mario and pricing out the parts and build for a new PC, it was clear the PC purchase would have been over budget. Mario recommended a prebuilt PC from them called PowerSpec. He showed us the G535 and it had everything we wanted in a gaming PC but for almost $500 off the retail price if we had PC built. I asked why was it cheaper and Mario told us the PC was built before the rise in prices on the memory and GPU. We then met with James Tran who showed us the G535. I noticed they had an open box PC. James explained to us the open box was a return for resale at a cheaper price. It was $100 cheaper. We bought the PC and took it home. Unfortunately all was not well with the PC. When playing two different games, (Marvel Rivals & Ark: Survival Ascended) the PC freezes for 10 seconds and reboots to the desktop. I tried troubleshooting by playing two different Benchmarks and lowering the GPU graphics, deleting and reinstalling updated drivers and lowering video resolutions but to no avail. Every time my son would play the games the PC froze and rebooted. This lead me to believe there are hardware issues with the PC. Luckily the PC was still within their 14 day return policy for returns, exchanges and refunds. We decided we did not want to have their techs try to diagnose the problem with the PC and just return and exchange for a new one. MC's return and exchange process was very simple. You go online to their website, log into your account and file a return. You are given a QR code and just then head to MC. When we arrived (the nearest MC is Tustin which is 2 hours away), we met with James Tran again who helped us with the process. I explained to James what the issues were with the PC. He told us the option of walking over to their Tech area of the store and having their guys try and diagnose the PC. I told James we would rather just exchange it for a new one. James understood our situation and spoke with his manager who allowed us to exchange the return for a new PC at the open box price so we did not have a to pay the difference. MicroCenter staff especially their managers (forgot their names) along with Mario and James Tran were awesome. They truly satisfied our experience at their Tustin store and made our teenager son very happy. So far everything is working properly with the replacement PC. I'll do a follow up if things change. Thank you again MicroCenter!

I wanted to donate my MacBook to someone in need and this looked like a promising solution. I was worried that making a visit on the weekend to their tech bar for the donation process would be really busy and result in a long wait, but to my surprise I was helped very quickly! Queueing and "checking out" was quick, as the team member just needed to register my device and provided me with a receipt for tax purposes.

She was really helpful and knowledgeable about the product and walked him through every step on how to use them and what he would see. She was also very helpful when it comes to the sizing of the glasses and warning us that you would not be able to return or exchange for size. My boyfriend absolutely love the experience and although they are very expensive, he still walked out with them. Ed, the owner of A-B & B Electronics, was the only one who I could find to work on my late 40's…read morePhilco. He had great reviews at the time, so I happily called him. I should've known on our first conversation, or should I say lack thereof, that it was going to become a nightmare. First of all, he doesn't concentrate on the conversation and what I am telling him. In addition, his phone keeps beeping for another call, so I'm continually put on hold. Again, good reviews and honestly, he seems like my last hope on the antique I've had setting for a few years now. He tells me to bring it to him. Well, it's in a unit. "I don't have room in my garage. You must disassemble." My husband isn't crazy about that, but we've waited a long time. So he does. Ed wants $40 to "look" at it. In the 13 months he had the pieces, turntable, amp, and radio, we hardly heard a peep. We had to continually call him for updates, going through the same pattern of terrible communication, phone beeping, put on hold or I'll call you back. I got so frustrated, I pleaded with my husband to take it over. He got so irritated , I had to take it back over because I thought we'll never get it back. Mind you, he's open until 6pm and only open until 1pm on Saturdays. Considering we live 45 minutes away w/out traffic and my husbands works til 5 pm M-F, quite an operation to accomplish. Thirteen long months later, pushing, pulling, scraping, mustering up every ounce of patience left, we picked it up. In the end he said the original turntable couldn't be fixed and ordered another on EBay and added 15%. Because everything is built in, we had to make a form for it to fit inside. So basically after all that, we got a turntable that worked but we would have to figure out how to put it all back together, apply it so it fit into the unit, because "he didn't have room for the cabinet" to do it himself. When I say fit, the phonograph is screwed to the door and the door opens forward to display the unit that has springs. The unit sat again for another four months while my husband gathered a plan. Well, yesterday, I had a girlfriend over. We appraised the situation together and after some grinding of metal, used the original form, screwed it all on and played my first record. Hallelujah! In closing, we paid nearly $345 dollars. Not exactly sure what we got for that except a lot of runaround. Didn't inform us he wanted cash until we were there for pick up. Wasn't going to credit the original $40 that was given as the initial deposit. Good thing I kept my original receipt. Overall, no matter how desperate, DON'T GO SEE ED. Terrible, the worst communication skills. Nobody needs that much aggrevation in their life. My husband and I still have PTSD and we appreciate each other more for our communication skills.

We ordered a tablet and keyboard for pickup because the Best Buy website indicated that the order would be ready within one hour. My niece starts her first day of university tomorrow, and these items were a gift from her grandmother to help her start school. We were also dropping my niece off where she will be living for school and then returning home, which is not close to this location, so the advertised pickup timeframe was an important reason we placed the order this way. After almost three hours with no update, I called because I noticed the store would be closing in approximately 30 minutes. The automated system told me that the order was still being worked on. However, when I eventually spoke with an employee at the store, who I believe was named Laura, I was initially told there was a hold because my mother's bank had not paid the transaction. I work for the financial institution that issued my mother's card, so I am familiar with how our transactions are processed. The funds had already been taken from her account, and she had received no call, email, text message, or mobile banking alert indicating that the bank had declined or placed a hold on the purchase. When I explained this, the explanation suddenly changed, and I was told that it was actually a Best Buy team that needed to review the transaction further. I asked what additional information was needed so we could resolve the issue. The employee said she did not know. I asked if I could speak with the team reviewing the transaction so I could provide whatever they needed, and I was told that team does not speak with customers. I even offered to bring my mother to the store with her identification and the physical card used for the purchase and was told that would not help either. At that point, I was left wondering what exactly a customer is supposed to do to resolve a hold when no one can explain what is being reviewed, what information is needed, or who can actually help. The reason we placed the order for pickup rather than simply bringing my mother with us to shop in person is also important. My grandmother is currently in hospice and her condition has been getting progressively worse. Today, she had been running a fever, and we did not want my mother to have to leave her mother's side unnecessarily. She simply wanted to buy her granddaughter a tablet for her first day of university and make sure she started this new chapter on a positive note. What made the experience even more disappointing was the customer service. I felt that the employee I spoke with was extremely dismissive and showed very little interest in helping find a solution. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, I was told I could not speak with one directly. The employee then placed me on hold to ask whether a supervisor could call me back and assured me that I would receive a call within a few minutes. That call never came. It has now been approximately two hours since I was promised a callback, the store has long since closed, and no manager or supervisor ever contacted me. My niece now begins university without the computer she expected to have because she did not bring her previous laptop with her, believing we would be picking up the new one today. We also live far enough away that simply returning during the week is not an easy solution. I understand that fraud prevention and transaction reviews exist for a reason, and I have no problem with a company taking reasonable steps to verify a large purchase. What I do have a problem with is advertising a one-hour pickup, providing conflicting explanations about a delay, giving the customer no way to resolve the issue, refusing access to anyone who can explain what is happening, and then promising a manager callback that never happens. A simple delay would have been frustrating but understandable. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to help is what made this experience unacceptable. At the very least, I expected someone from management to follow through on the promised phone call and attempt to find a solution before the store closed. That did not happen, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed with Best Buy.
