We rarely make purchases here because my son never finds anything he likes or is looking for. Stay away from this store. I purchased the Sony headphones for the PlayStation new. As I was walking to my vehicle I opened the box and found broken and used headphones inside. I went back to the store 8 minutes later to complain to them and they did not take responsibility for their product. It was a weekend so the manager wasn't there, I went back on Monday to talk to him. He avoided me for an hour and when he finally came out from the back he talked to me with an attitude and didn't give any solution to the problem. GameStop customer service is horrible. BUY ONLINE. At the end of the day I did not get a refund, I was left with someone else's trash, a headache and got robbed for $100. Please stay away. read more

The associate name Ronnie was disrespectful. I took my son in for his birthday . And Ronnie was on the phone ignoring us. And when we were checking out was worst. I understand he may be new and didn't know how to do a look up an account. I told him if he could call someone for help. He rolled his eye at me . we had to do two transactions because we had a gift card for my son birthday and I guess we could use it to purchase with other gift card I get it. But after everything I ask for a bag. Let's note he never once ask if I wanted a bag. So I ask for a bag and he said they didn't have any. But I saw them and I said what are those. I like that the employee gave my boyfriend and I enough time to look around without immediately asking if he could help us, and when he did ask if he could help it was the perfect timing.He also helped my boyfriend renew his GameStop membership and gave us extra information on when certain games will be available. I am disappointed in GameStop specifically with corporate, due to allegedly a policy regarding controller/ joycons warranty be exchanged with pre-owned instead of new one's, and I had purchased them from March 22 of last year. Personally I think it's unfair for those who purchased the warranty before the policy change in November, and it's a stupid idea to begin. I don't blame associates, or even managers, but corporations at least should honor warranties that before the policy change. I came into the Main Place mall location yesterday to see if they had any SNES Classics available. I waited patiently behind two customers who were assisted by a man named Ross. After Ross completed the two previous transactions, he assisted me with my purchase. Seeing that there were no brand new SNES Classics in SoCal for me to go buy, he was able to track one down on their online store. I told Ross I needed the console by Wednesday as I am raffling it off at E3 to build our social media followers. Ross went above and beyond to help me with my request, along with the previous two customers. You get a sense that Ross is passionate about video games and is clearly transparent through his demeanor and customer service. GameStop, if you're reading this, you have a gem with Ross and I'd highly consider him for a leadership role. Anyway this one is in the main place mall (the other one on main st is hell and they don't even know their promotions) well this one had really great workers. Everyone was patient and they did everything great. My cashier miriam did a great job. And the manager was amazing too. I genuinely felt like I went in to get what I wanted and that's it. Other gamestops feel like I'm being interrogated and the workers are looking for reasons not to honor promotions but not this one. Will come back. Love this one hehehe read more

Most of the people inside were just browsing with no definite confirmation as to whether or not they were buying anything, and there was no definite line. They had an OK selection of older games available. Since there was nothing of interest to get I just got a promotional Pokémon code and left. This store is a nice store. Employees aren't very knowledgeable about their products. I went in and found some exclusive Funko boxes and asked the employee if all the boxes were the same. She informed me they were all different but because they were sealed you didn't know what you would get. So - I bought 3 of each color. The red Funko box and the Blue Funko box. Excitedly went and opened them all up and $300 later I have 6 EXACTLY IDENTICAL boxes. Lol I think that was a good day in sales for this store but a bad day in customer retention. I'm pretty bummed. I was told because I opened them up I could not return them. Please inform your employees better. I feel like this should've been yours to eat - not ours. The workers are very knowledgable of what they're selling and always inform me of new upcoming Xbox One games or specials going on. I come here all the time for preorder list printouts, buy games, upgrades to collectors edition, and usually Dan or Lauren help me out and they're on top of their job . However I notice every time Ross helps me he doesn't seem like he even wants to help. Most of their work computers and testing facilities were not working and it took us the better part of an hour to trade in a Wii without it being particularly busy. They even had to email their manager to figure out a well-advertised promotion. This location seemed pretty tame, which is a nice change when you don't want to spend time in line behind kids who can't make up their mind. I came in to pick up an Xbox One controller and they had A LOT! Nice change as I called a few stores asking around to no avail. The guy working was pleasant and nice, even though he was trying to push me to buy into their rewards thing. I've been to many GameStops in OC to preorder items, which they encourage you to do. However, out of all the GameStops in OC, this is the only one that won't let you switch your preorder over the phone from 1 item to another. They want you to physically come in to switch your preorder, even though you've already paid for your previous preorder and you're not taking anything home or getting a refund or owe anything extra. Yet, they still want you to come into the store. I have torn my right knee 4 times in my life, so it's hard to move around. These greedy people want you to walk into their store to personally switch your preorder and hope that I buy something else while I'm there. That's the only reason they need me to physically go there. For that, I will go there one last time to cancel all my preorders (10+ items) and take all my money back. I will never come to this store ever again and I'm currently thinking of boycotting GameStop altogether. This is what happens when you lack common sense, thoughtless customer service and discriminatory against the physically challenged. read more

Used to come here a lot when I knew the workers on a first name bases and they were always helpful and very engaging about anything you mentioned to them. There was a since of caring for you and only you when you were at the register and they would even greet everyone who came through the door to let them know they are thankful for them coming in. I recently went in to get a couple of games and trade in and it was just a weird transaction overall. Make employee was eating something from a white cup while opening boxes and the female was using her personal phone behind the register. We weren't even acknowledged when we came in. The workers I was familiar with no longer work their I believe and these new workers just seemed to really care less about their guest servicing. Don't know if it was just an off day because reading the reviews on here seem to really acknowledge the place for being as good as it once was, so maybe I'll give it another shot just wouldn't be surprised if I got this kind of service again. read more
