Nice little hometown bar. Great pizza and sandwiches. You have to order food and drinks at the bar. Fun place to hang out with friends. Sometimes we take a deck of cards and play a few games of euchre. read more

I've been driving past this place for more than 10 years coming and going from Newburgh. Tonight I decided to try their famous pizza. It's great. I probably won't eat in with the smoking. I didn't realize that was allowed anymore. I'll definitely come back for the pizza. read more

Went there for a beer and a bit to eat made our orders and once we received it it was over cooked the sandwich I ordered was burnt I sent it back and the next one came back burnt worse than the first, the sides where so over cooked they where dry and extremely hard to chew , I took them home and my dog wouldn't even eat it , that's really not good,she usually eats almost anything, but I guess she isn't impressed with burnt food either read more

My bf and I ride bikes downtown Newburgh and we saw this place. We did some research, looked on Facebook etc and finally decided to try it one night. The pictures online looked good. We ordered 3- 12" pizzas. #1 we were devastated by the prices of $50 for 3 - 12" pizzas. So automatically knowing how expensive we thought this is going to be so good. Good quality, etc or at least it better be the best pizza I've had. Opened the box to the pizza with everything- presentation was good, looked appetizing. The cheese on all pizzas seem to be fake cheese. It's greasy, hard and dark. The crust is gummy, greasy, soggy, soft and gross. Only the outside has a some amount of crispness. All the toppings were under the cheese which made an ugly, unappetizing presentation on the pizzas that just had 1-2 toppings. It was a mystery what was under the fake cheese. We will never order again. I hate to give this rating to a local business but it was not good. I wanted to like it but didn't. read more

First off, let me say I'm originally from Chicago and I have not found anything comparable to thin crust Chicago pizza. With that said, I think Cricket's has the best pizza in the Evansville area (so far--I continue to hunt). Crisp crust and plenty of toppings. Not the typical "una" pizza fare you have around here. I gave it four stars because, as some have mentioned, this is a smoking bar. It appears to be a local place so the bar is generally full, and there is no table service. You must go up to the bar to order food & drinks. They do, however, bring your food out to your table. If you didn't know this (or see the sign by the bar), you could sit at a table, well, forever! Anyhow, it's smoking so you have to be able to tolerate that. I supposed they do carry out but they don't really seem set up for that. read more

This is the best bar in Newburgh. Thirty Thursdays rock and there is live entertainment. The food is great as well.

What can I say about Cricket's.. 1st off its a great environment to get piss drunk in, very hospitable. 2nd you feel very young when you step inside, the average age is probably at least 38 3rd you can chain smoke cigarettes if that's what you're into (there's even ash trays in the bathroom) 4th they card, so there's no yuppies sitting around sucking up all the good smokey air 5th it showcases the great racial diversity that is Newburgh indiana read more

When in Newburgh, IN do not go to Cricket's Bar & Grill. They are a dive bar in every sense of the term. plastic glasses dirty appearance and uncaring staff. What really pissed me off is the fact that I ordered a shot of Patron the bartender walked away and came back with my drink. a little later I came back to the bar for another drink and a different bartender informed me that they didn't carry Patron and would I like something else I told her that I ordered a Patron a few minutes ago and was served. she called over the other bartender who apparently is in charge and he told me he served me something called "Casanova". Well, I didn't order "Casanova" I ordered "Patron" and when I order a drink by name, I expect that drink. We went back and forth for a minute and Finally he said all he could do for me is cash out my "F**king" check. No offer to get me something else, no comped check, nothing! so I payed my check and left. This guy is a low life and I will never go back to that bar. Great pizza, hot ham & cheese and bar food. Drinks are reasonably priced. Bartenders know your name and your drinks.

my wife and live close and we have found Crickets to be a great little spot for some adult time away from our kids. Saturday night is the best for live music and great food. PS this little dive bar cleaned up really well. we didn't mind it before but it looks pretty damn good now. read more

I love crickets! They recently remodeled and lot of tvs for sports. Great food and laid back atmosphere. Smoking is allowed here , but we don't mind it. It's are go to for quick easy bar food! Pizza is fantastic.. And sandwiches are the best! No fuss dining.. Cold fish bowls!! read more

Disappointed. Had plans to go listen to some blues music, but found out they allow smoking. This place is now crossed off my list.

The pizza is excellent as well as the sandwiches on the menu. It's a great place to go with a laid back atmosphere.

Wonderful! First time here. 1 of a kind place. The bartender was pleasant. The crowd was cool. I was looking for a place to chill watch some football and hang out. It was perfect for what I was looking for. Looking forward to returning and seeing what it's like next time. read more
