Chuy's only earns stars because the flautas were pretty solid, could not taste the cheese but the chicken had solid flavor, and the shell was crispy. Unfortunately for me and my associate, we did not do research before going to the establishment, that is where the 2 stars came from. Service was fine, no complaints but the whole atmosphere threw me off, prices threw me off. Maybe this is my fault for not knowing much about Tex mex, but I shouldn't have to read the fine print of a menu to know what sides I'm getting. Overall I'm very displeased with my experience, but I don't think that's because of the quality of the food as much as it is the lack of menu options. read more

Loved the sauces especially the Queso and Jalapeño Ranch. I had the appetizer plate and loved everything on it. Had enough to take home for dinner. I had the nonsweetened iced tea and it tasted like water so I wont recommend that. read more

Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed in Chuy's in Evansville. I'm a big fan of Chuy's in Kissimmee, FL and was really looking forward to dinner at this branch. But, there was no one to greet people at the door, even though at least 3 or 4 employees passed me without a word. I sat in the bar since no one seemed to want to seat me. The bartender came over and asked if I wanted a drink. I had to ask for a menu to see what they had. He made me a margarita, but no cocktail napkin, no napkin at all, no straw, and not follow up. The food came out fast but tasted like it had been microwaved. It was flavorless and the tortillas were very tough. When the food did come, still no one gave me silverware or a napkin. I asked the bartender and he gave me silverware, but I never got a napkin ever. The chips and salsa are pretty good, but I wouldn't make the trip for just that. I paid and left, without a simple "thanks for coming" from anyone. And, in case you were wondering there were only 2 tables in the bar and only one other person sitting at the bar with me. I'll probably go back to the Kissimmee location again, but doubt I'll make the trip to this one. Sad... read more

We had a wonderful meal and dining experience here. Went on a Monday night where the place was half full and was seated in a booth quickly. The place is colorful and well decorated with a lot of light. We ordered our beers and were brought a chunky salsa, jalapeño ranch sauce and hot flavorful chips. Great chips and dips. Our beers were served with a frosty glass. I ordered the cheese enchiladas, wife fajita beef tacos, and my sister the seasoned ground beef tacos. They came with lettuce and tomatoes, Mexican rice, and refried beans. All of the food was hot and delicious. Our server did a great job. Great Tex-Mex experience. read more

We were a party of six which is understandably big but the wait was extraordinarily long after ordering, upwards to 45 minutes to get our food. Food is fine though I don't like how there's pepper in my cheese quesadillas. The queso is orange but it's good! Now the survive was amazing our waiter was so nice! But other than that Ambience was beautiful! They did give my dad the wrong thing but he said it was still good and me and my cousin got a small stomachache. I would rate it a 3.5. Our server Issac was great and so friendly. The place bright and welcoming. The jalapeño dip was awesome the queso was very salty with a strong velveeta taste. My dinner was good the chicken chuychanga. The rice was meh but the beans were really good. I chose the tomatillo sauce and it was very good. My hubby said his steak quesadilla was ok but not very flavorful. We were bummed with all the hype around this restaurant. read more

This was the worst hostess we have ever experienced. We went on a Sunday at 4 pm with a party of 5 people. They said 20 minutes until we could be seated - 50 minutes later, we had to ask why we hadn't been seat as SEVERAL groups of 2s, 4s and a few 6s got seated right away (like walked in the door WITHOUT RESERVATIONS.) We asked why they couldn't push tables together and they said they had been but had nothing to say when we said we have seen you seat people right when they walked in. They were not even remotely apologetic for our wait and told us AFTER 50 MINUTES, it would be at least another 45 minutes. I also had found a phone on the bathroom floor and turned it in to the hostess saying i found someones phone and they'll probably come looking for it. She literally asked me why I was giving to her????? Like im sorry??? You're the hostess. That is common practice to turn in lost items to you. All that to say. Super disappointed because it has been open a while and we have loved this chain restaurant in other cities. We will never be going here again and not recommending it to our friends. read more

First visit. Guys this is Tex mex. Not a typical Mexican restaurant so the comparisons Don't hold up. Very good thin chips and pico with a kick to start. One of us had the steak burrito which had huge chunks of very flavorable meet. I had the chicksa boom. Again flavors that are very good. I had the green chili rice which was great. The refried beans actually had a taste to them. Great lunch. We will certainly be back to try other items on the menu. read more

First visit. Hostess was more concerned about a waiter that had to take over the take outs. I requested a nearby table because my wife can hardly walk. She took us by 15 empty tables to the table by the kitchen. We were finally taken back to an area by the bar. Kaitlyn is an asset to your operation. She is very efficient and a wonderful person. I had the appetizer cheese quesadilla, I didn't want the onions only the green chiles. Since they are pre-packaged I was told that I had to have both or neither. What restaurant cannot make something to order? Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's etc... can do this. A Mexican restaurant with no green chilies, only a pre-packaged with onions. WOW!
