I had a great experience with chelsea C! Fast friendly and you can tell she loves what she does

A case study in indifference and mediocrity... My family and I were staying at a nearby hotel and, unfortunately, decided to have dinner at this nearby restaurant. The hostess started us off with a bad taste right from the start. She led us to a table, tossed the menus on top and walked away. She barely spoke to us or acknowledged us. Our server turned out to be even worse. He was polite enough but did the bare minimum. My wife's food was ready 10 minutes before the rest of us and he brought it to her anyway... When she said she would prefer to wait to eat with everyone he said he could put it under the heat lamp... The heat lamp did not work. Her dinner was cold by the time we all received our meals. The server also failed to return to check on us, refill our drinks or acknowledge us in any way. He failed to honor the discount offered by the hotel that we were staying at and covered that up by not giving us a receipt... And he was nowhere to be found after he received payment. To top that off, the food was passable at best... Except for my wife whose dinner was cold because the server didn't care enough to do his job. One last, probably minor but still annoying, detail... I hate restaurants that only give you a tiny cup of ketchup for a burger and fries... And make you beg if you want more. Bar Louie failed it every level. Never again! read more

I was in town for work and came in for a nightcap. I was probably one of the only non-locals in the bar as most in the bar area were in watching the NBA games, since the Pacers are playing. I sat at the bar and ordered a New Old Fashioned. It was fantastic. I'm a big Old Fashioned fan and this one is at the top of my travels. The bartender was very nice and explained to me what their ingredients were. I have eaten here several times and would definitely be back if just for their Old Fashioned. read more

Love bringing my family here. They have kids eat free Sundays, $5 burger Wednesdays, and trivia once a month. 10/10 recommend

Service is the worst and servers need to pay attention especially if you don't know what's going on in your restaurant like a trivia event! This place is run down and I would not recommend especially if they serve drinks and don't have any special drinks for the evening! It could be better but the people who work here make the ambience a disaster I would avoid especially if you're staying in a hotel nearby! read more

We stopped here after visiting the casino nearby. We opted for appetizers and drinks. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. We had the trio chips and dip and the chicken nachos. It was all good, next time in town we might try out some other things on the menu. read more

Went for Happy Hour at 4pm. Place was NOT busy at all. Our server was Holly. She was not friendly at ALL! She acted like it was a major inconvenience to wait on us. We asked about happy hour specials but she said they had no menu and quickly rattled something unintelligible to us. I went on the website to find out. There were probably 6 servers huddled around the register talking and hanging out ( aka not working) because it was so slow. I don't know if Holly was having a bad day or just lacks personality and hates her job. I gave 3 stars because food was good and beer was cold. So if you don't mind being talked down to and ignored...this is a good option read more

I used to visit this particular location periodically when I worked in Evansville. Sadly, this visit was less than exceptional. It was lunchtime, and the place was pretty quiet. But the food was just ok, even though it was delivered wrong. I ordered a cheeseburger, no onions and no tomato. Well, it came without tomato and pickles. So, they took off the lettuce and left the onion. Generally, if they were busy, I'd understand. But, I was the only table the server had! The burger was very salty too. I'll probably give them another shot when I'm back in town though. read more

The food is mediocre, at best, bordering on bad. In addition, it is wildly overpriced for being bar food. Not worth visiting.

So this was my first time at this location. They just introduce a new menu. We sat at the bar. Service was outstanding. Sweet and spicy Thai wings were perfect. Had the BL&T salad that was deconstructed as you can see. You mix it together yourself. It was very good. Guests with me ordered a burger and patty melt and they were also very pleased. Ordered a couple specialty drinks and they were very good. I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. We were trying to go to Texas Roadhouse and it was packed. I have been to other Bar Louie locations and they were ok. This one I would definitely go to again. read more

The manager/bar tender greeted us and got our drinks and then ignored us for 43 mins. When all 3 of our glasses were dry for roughly 12 mins. We finally got acknowledged by a different bartender and finally got our drinks. When all 3 of us were 2 drinks in, we still were not acknowledged if we wanted any food. So after about an hour we finally got our order after we had to stare down a bartender. I ordered a burger and it took about 20 mins to come out, once it did it looked like it was under the heat lamp for a while. it was not even luke warm, it was as cold as my glass of beer. When I asked why it was so cold, I didn't receive an answer and asked to warm it up. By that time, my wife's fish and chips hadn't even come out, so I asked for our food to be canceled. we got some grief from the manager about the food. I had to ask if you are the manager, then why are you stuck making drinks and not monitoring your establishment? Other customers were around the bar and tables waiting for either food or drinks. That is a managers position to monitor the restaurant and make a moves and delegate to accommodate the customers needs. When I asked why he was stuck behind the bar in a corner with his back to the customers, he was speechless. I recommended and gave him suggestions to delegate and be an actual Manager, but I received a blank stare from him like it was his first day. When we arrived, we were seated promptly, but the experience quickly deteriorated. We waited 15 minutes without any service; not a single server made eye contact with us. I observed a server and the manager chatting nearby. When the server noticed me looking, both walked away and ignored our table. With only four occupied tables in the entire restaurant, this level of neglect and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for such appalling service. Service was TERRIBLE! As the food was coming out, one of the food runners spilt an entire serving of ranch on one of our party members. They apologized but walked off laughing. While eating our food they never came around until we needed our check. When she gave us the check she had charged us for the ranch. We politely asked why it was on the check and she replied "well i brought her another one" in an extremely rude tone. Food was good. Service was terrible. We wondered why the parking lot was so empty when we got there, and now we know. We will never come back! read more

I've been twice in two days and I come here usually when I'm staying at a hotel in the area because of familiarity with the chain and the menu. The food and drinks are good. Food was great service was great however, I went during the happy hour and was charged full amount. I had even asked the server because I thought the bill was high. She's said it was and they were really busy and she said it was correct and I didn't realize it until I got home that it was not correct. So make sure that they charge you a happy hour price, but the food was great so definitely would go back. read more

Got non blackened fish tacos which were not on the menu as far as I saw. Washed them down with pint of Goose Island Next Coast, one of my favorites. It wasn't on the menu either. Birdie dung on the table and chair. Server ignored it. Oh well. I guess it's TX Roadhouse next trip to E'ville. read more

I had salmon sliders with a side salad, husband had steak slider with fries. Sports atmosphere, friendly service.

The main reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the hostess was friendly and gave me advice on wear to sit at the bar. So the bartender Holly was stand off professional, which is good if you don't want to feel welcome. The fish and chips was fair.. the fries was cold and the fish was hot but so greasy. I feel like I've had a better experience at Bar Louie in St Louis. So disappointed read more

Our first visit. We went with friends before an event. We arrived at 4:45pm. There were a handful of patrons and plenty of wait staff. We ordered an appetizer and drinks while we waiting for our friends to arrive. We got our drinks and appetizer, everything was good... until it wasn't. Our server took everyone's drink orders and took his time getting everything out. Then he took our order - just ours - didn't write it down, left the table and input our order. Showed up 10 minutes later to take the remainder of the orders. Brought out our food. I had ordered grilled cheese and. soup, but didn't receive a spoon. Server then sat down at a table with other servers to enjoy a beverage. Couldn't get his attention. By the time he finally came back over (we're still waiting for all the other food), the soup was stone cold. I requested and received a new bowl of soup (it was maybe 1/2 cup of soup) and a spoon. We think it's rude to eat if others don't have their food, so we waited. And waited. And waited. It took another 30 minutes for their food to arrive, after repeated asking for an update while our server enjoyed time with his coworkers. My tomato soup was grainy and my sandwich was so cold I couldn't bite through it. My dog enjoyed it later. We left the restaurant with 20 minutes to arrive at our 7pm destination. Very poor service. It isn't the best Bar Louie but its if you're staying in the area it gets the job done. Solid 3 stars across the board.

First off, I am a decent home cook so we don't go out to eat much but when we travel there is no choice. My wife ordered a drink that listed Makers Mark bourbon but they were out so she asked for a substitute of which the waiter had no idea so we got a cheap bourbon. The drink (Clover ...?) was just so so My drink was good, but the two drinks came to $20. Is that what drinks cost now? It took at least ten minutes to get those drinks. My wife's burger was cold. She ordered fries but got hash browns "more calories," she said. My fish and chips was barely OK, I prefer cod over pollack. It's firmer and tastier. read more

In a town of almost strictly chain restaurants, I do enjoy Bar Louie! The beer is crisp, the food fresh, and atmosphere is great! The Lemon Caesar salad was a very bright twist to a traditional salad. The quinoa I was told was delicious. The wings were also bold and tasty!
