I went to the grand opening and the food was amazing! I've tried Crisp & Green before in Maple Grove, MN. So, I already knew I liked their food (I had the Caesar Salad and have been craving it since). But at the grand opening the Marketing Manager convinced me to try something branch out and try something new (The Greek Grain bowl - I wasn't sure which to get) and I was so glad she did because I was obsessed. The vibes are great in there, very clean and modern feel. oh my!! delicious!! definitely doesn't look as appealing in the picture though. It was my first time trying this place and I was surprised with how good everything mixed together. I also got the Green Glow Smoothie and it was good as well. You can definitely taste the ginger. Definitely will be back. Great place to eat if counting macros and wanting to eat healthy. read more

I was eager to try this healthy addition to Grand Forks food options. The food was quite good; not cheap, but a healthy portion with fresh ingredients. The menu is clearly marked for various food restrictions, which (as a long time gluten-free diner) I really appreciate. I got the featured salad, honey and spice, which was nice, but not mind blowing. The honey mustard dressing was just okay and the blackened chicken was not very flavorful. They left off the walnuts - I had to go back and get them when I realized they were missing. The ordering process was surpringly perfunctory - you have to know what you want, they apparently aren't there to help. And, when you go to through the line, you get no opportunity to customize your order, unless you shout over the partition. When I got to the dressing station, she asked me if I wanted the recommended amount of dressing - how could I possibly know what that is? My biggest complaint, besides the indifferent service (considering they just opened a few days ago, you think they'd be trying to ensure people have a really positive experience), was the surly attitude I got when I expressed a concern about gluten: you can get chips or bread at the end of the line and I asked for chips, but the person waiting on me reached for the bread, and I said, "don't touch the bread before you touch my chips." She got very offended. Among other things, she said "you have to ask for allergy accommodation at the beginning of the line." I think ensuring my food isn't cross contaminated is reasonable at any point in the ordering process. I've been gluten-free for 25 years and I've gotten poisoned by careless people so many times. Her attitude was really off-putting. Next time, I will use the app, so I can easily customize my order and I don't have to interact with the staff. ADDENDUM Someone immediately contacted me from the restaurant and offered me a coupon for a return visit, which I very much appreciate (though I have not had a chance to redeem it, and hopefully change my impression of the service). read more

Spinach, Kale, brown avocado slice, not even 2 oz of chicken, 5 tiny slices of jalapeno (not even 1/4" slice put together), a sprinkle of bacon (not even 1/4 strip), boiled egg (not lying here, I had egg shell in salad), microscopic amount of cheese, and salad dressing that tasted like fish (I did not order caesar dressing). The food is great but they are so off with the proportions. 50 percent of the time I get a full scoop of chicken and the other is 1/4 scoop. I even asked the lady for a normal scoop and she said that will be 3 dollars extra. By meal doesn't even take up half the bowl. This was my second experience at C&G at this location. Have tried the one in Fargo a few times & love their food so have been looking forward to the Grand Forks one opening. First visit was in person. Food was great but servers were ill-prepared--couldn't answer questions & were irritated when I asked for a substitution. Today I received an email that delivery was free when ordering on the app every Friday in Jan so my daughter & I decided to have it delivered tonight. I ordered at 5:16 PM and then received notice that it would not be delivered until 7:07 PM--almost 2 hours! But what could I do--had already placed the order. I was in fact charged $7.00 for delivery! So no free delivery as advertised. At 7:07 we were still waiting for delivery, which finally arrived at 7:44 PM! My daughter's Caesar salad was as ordered & she said it was delicious. I ordered the Wild Child grain bowl which was missing both the goat cheese (which is standard for that bowl) and the pumpkin seeds (which I added and paid extra for). Very disappointed! Food was tasty but definitely not worth over 2 1/2 hour wait and missing components which were clearly included in both the online order and printed receipt.
