My experience with Crisp on 28th was very brief. It was on my 28th birthday (I realized afterwards how appropriate that was), and it was one of the only few restaurants open during Good Friday. It looked like a bar from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that in fact, they had comfort food, sandwiches, cakes and pastries, instead! Even more appropriate! :) My friends surprised me with a slice of Crisp Cake, which was a calamansi sponge cake with almonds and calamansi curd. It was a nice balance of sour and sweet; perfect for the summer. The most notable thing about the place are the beautiful murals outside. I'm not exactly sure what they have to do with the theme of the restaurant, but nevertheless, they are intricately done.

We were looking for a new place to eat around BGC. Since we've heard this place and seen some online reviews about it, we decided to give it a try. From the office, we walked to BGC Highstreet and from there, we asked around because we can't find it. After walking for about 15 minutes more, my friend and I finally found this place. We even used our google map to guide us while walking. (lol) It was fast approaching lunchtime and people are all over the place. We waited for about 10 minutes just to get a table. I ordered their Bacon and Eggs (290) and a glass of their cold pressed cucumber, apple and mint juice (P155) to compensate for all the calories that my BAE will bring. We ordered their Crisp Cake (P160), heard that it's the best seller and yes it is! I love the layers of calamansi sponge cake, calamansi curd and almond meringue. Truly a must try!

The food at Crisp on 28th is always great! Today I tried the Big Breakfast and Milo Silvanas. The Big Breakfast has all the great stuff - beef tapa, adobo flakes and tuyo fried rice, fried eggs and atchara. It tasted great but could improve by being less oily though. Loved the Milo Silvanas!!! Their staff could be a little more responsive. During the three times I have been here (during slow hours), they had a lot of staff basically chatting behind the counter and you would almost need to walk up to them to get their attention. They could also lower the volume of the piped in music a bit since its only 3pm.

Excellent customer service with delicious meals and plenty of options on their menu. This is our second time dining at Locavore but first time at Brixton Street in Estancia location. Customer service at Brixton Street, Estancia is consistent with the BGC location. The staff is also very well versed with food allergies. The staff was great every step of the way from seating, to ordering, to delivering our orders on a timely manner and until the very end. Our party of 11 ordered 2 of everything like to name a few of what we ordered are, Pakbet Ratatouille, Octadobo, Oyster Palabok sa Puti, Tapsilog, Boneless Lechon Belly, Dragonfruit chips and many more. We look forward to dining at Locavore every time we visit Philippines. Locavore both provided delicious food and excellent customer service.

I'd been wanting to try Filipino food, and this place came highly recommended by some locals. The food was incredible. I tried the sizzling sinigang, and it completely surprised me. The flavor was sour, savory, and comforting all at once. I also had the oyster sisig, which was crispy, rich, and perfect with a cold San Miguel beer. Every dish came out hot and well-presented. The restaurant itself has a great vibe!!! lively but not too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially since I wasn't too familiar with Filipino dishes. They explained what everything was and even suggested a few must-tries. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Philippines. And I'll definitely come back next time!

The portion was moderate and it can feed 2 people. It was hot and crunchy and the sauce was pretty good. The pinakbet with pork liempo was awesome, please keep in mind that pinakbet in some regions are cooked without the sabaw (sauce). The eggplant was definitely fried. The bitter melon and the kombucha squash were steamed well. The pork was super crunchy!!! Please also note that one order of pinakbet will probably good for 2 people but I can definitely devour it on my own! The kare kare with crispy pork was also good. The sauce was slurry and not too thick. The string beans, banana heart (puso ng saging) and bok choy were steamed and cooked well. They were not soggy but crunchy. Also the eggplant was fried and added with the sauce. When you order kare kare it automatically comes with sautéed shrimp paste. This dish alone will probably feed 4 people. Overall the service was great, we did not wait long for the food, and we were seated right away since we arrived there around 11:45ish. The restaurant was clean and quite cozy. There's one bathroom for both genders. Total of all the meals including 1 sugarcane calamansi juice refill P1745.00 (also includes gratuity charges).

Back then, if you've been living in Manila for most of your life, the words "food" and "court" in the same sentence never really sounded appetizing. Enter Hole in the Wall. I've been here a few times already, but stepping inside its huge hip maze of interiors never ceases to excite me. I'm not sure if it's the thrill of choosing what meal to try next or just the nice aesthetic of literally everything, that excites me more. On my first visit, I made sure to first try the super popular fried chicken from Bad Bird. As a big fan Southern-style fried chicken, I wasn't disappointed. The crispy skin had a yummy seasoning that's new to the palette, very different compared to my other favorites, such as the Chickenjoy from Jollibee and the Pan Fried Chicken from Pancake House. And there's something about their side dishes that just completes the whole meal. The corn on the cob with bonito flakes, sweet and umami flavors melting in your mouth, was to die for. The coleslaw provided a nice acidic break from the saltiness of the chicken. The meal was a fun experience itself. Just the other day, I tried the Pastrami on Rye from Mr. Delicious and it was monstrous--just plain impressive in terms of size. I didn't even attempt to bite on the entire stack, using my fork and knife like a pretentious chick on a first date instead. Each bite off the monster-wich was packed with so many different flavors, though the pastrami still easily emerges as the hero of the dish. And let's not get started on the sweet potato chips. I'm not a big sweet potato-lover, but damn, the portion was more than satisfying. If there's anything I'd like modified, I just wish there was a bit more of the veggie pickles to cut through all the meat and fat. For now, I'll end this review right here. If it isn't yet so obvious, I'll probably be back here in no time to try a different food stall or two.
