Poke Tuna Onigiri

I came here when Deadpool/Wolverine came out and wanted to get dinner before the movie. Im always craving poke or ramen and found a spot that offered both on their menu! Unfortunately thats a red flag... the poke bowl was better than the ramen (dont waste your time/money coming here JUST for ramen.. go to Jinya or Silverlake). Fish seemed nicely refrigerated, but did not provide a fresh feel.. this is just another "just fine" restaurant at Charlotte.

Was my first time here and was a really nice experience. Not many people eating in the place but a lot of people buying to go, the place was clean and organized, my 6yo does not eat poke or ramen so she had a sandwich from a place nearby and they didn't said anything about which is good. I had the Pork Chashu ramen and was fenomenal. Planning to come back soon.

Ordered via DoorDash so I can't speak on the ambiance but the food was good. It wasn't as flavorful as other pho/ramen I've had but I always keep my own spices so it wasn't a big deal. It was absolutely worth the price because it was a lot of ramen. I would purchase again

I love it. The staff is always very friendly and the sushi is pretty tasty for me. Usually my go to in the area for lunch.

This location is relatively close to where I live so decided to give it a shot. This place is what I would describe as fast casual, not so much as fine dining with servers and whatnot, but it is in a growing area where I can see it getting busier in the future. Instead of dining there, we took our food to-go. The pork chashu ramen was good. Broth was flavorful and rich, but would not categorize it as fancy ramen compared to other places in Charlotte, but it gets the job done. Bonus that the broth was packed separately and still boiling hot by the time we got home. The next was the Yum Yum Roll. This roll wasn't too bad, not super filling but overall good. We had also ordered two onigiris; poke salmon and poke shirmp. Both good and relatively decent sized. All and all, I would say this place is nice to go to for something a little more casual. A good place to stop in for a quick bite for lunch.

BEST THING FOR YOUR $$$ This is probably my 4th time here getting my favorite items. Poke bowl is the freshest I've ever had in Charlotte And it's worth the money!! They stuff your bowl like it's nothing. I also get the lychee green tea, have had it twice in a row and it's not a disappointment. Plenty of space indoors for quick dine in and out. Easy grab and go for to-go orders.

I'm not going to lie the first time i had food from this place i wasn't quit satisfied but i decided to give out another shot and try something different and I'm so happy i did! They have became one of my favorite go to for take out i always get the crispy chicken katsu and the house roll , the ramen is also bomb they are really good and the service is always nice.

First time coming in, I almost drove across town before I remembered they're now open. Came in for carry out on a Wednesday night and there were ~10 customers inside. I was caught off guard a little that only a part of their menu is on the wall and otherwise you have to look at the menus on the counter. The female working the register was definitely NOT friendly to every customer so that was immediately off putting. I placed an order for a Thai milk tea, egg roll, and katsu chicken hot rice bowl with brown rice. My wait for my drink was quick, about five mins. The Thai tea was really good with a lot of flavor, their boba is a little soft compared to my preferred tea place but still good. My wait for food was less than 15 mins. Luckily I live right around the corner so my food was still hot when I got home. The chicken bowl had rice, sweet corn, broccoli, fried chicken and scallions. Pretty basic, but it was fresh. The egg roll was hot on the inside without being greasy which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend asking for extra Teriakyi on the bowl as the only thing with a lot of flavor was the corn. I did grab some duck sauce and hot mustard for my egg roll so I added that in the bowl as well. Overall I wasn't wow'ed but I'd go back and try other things like their ramen and sushi. It is a nice addition to have something new in this part of town at least and the tea was good!

Spicy Crab Meat Shrimp Roll

Pokebowl Ramen did not disappoint. I have to start by saying how excited I am to have a new restaurant here. I tried the classic poke bowl and the spicy crab meat shrimp roll. Both were so good and I would definitely get these again. I can't wait to try the ramen! The seafood in the poke bowl was fresh and there was plenty of it. The portion is big. I only ate half of it. The sushi was really good. The shrimp tempura was fresh and crunchy and the roll was not overpowered by rice. The crab on top had the perfect hint of spice. My husband liked the sushi and he only likes sushi from Wasabi Cafe and Enoodle. We're fans! I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

We started with the pork gyoza, which were delivered quickly and were delicious. For our entrees, I had the Tonkotsu Black with added braised tofu, and my husband had the Spicy Tantan. I don't usually like eggs in my ramen (because they are never cooked enough), but Menya cooked theirs perfectly soft boiled, and I loved the flavor the egg added to the soup. Both soups had complex flavors, and we loved them. The tofu was great--thinly sliced and flavorful, if a bit salty--but I am not sure I'd need it again. My husband thought his soup was perfectly spicy. A note about parking - if you can park in the lot in front of the building, you scan a QR code, and open a parking time block. (I believe Menya paid for a 2-hour block.) You then enter the information on an iPad at the back of the restaurant to validate your parking and start the clock. It was easier than I expected, and I'd definitely use this parking service again. And if you can't get a spot in the lot in front of the building, you can park on the neighborhood streets just one or two blocks away. All told, it was a great meal for a reasonable cost. We'll definitely return!

Location wise, this place is definitely a "sleeper" place just because it's tucked back in Stonecrest across from the movie theater. The dining room is cozy but there are booths and tables.... Small outdoor dining area with a handful of tables too. Overall a great place to get great ramen! Just wished it was closer but again, I would be here daily getting ramen.

Upon entrance, the place looks small but then they walk you to a larger dining room. I really enjoyed the moody atmosphere in the place and plenty of windows to get some natural sunlight by. I opted for the Tan Tan Men which is apparently one of their best ramen, according to the waitress. After the bowl came out, I couldn't withhold my amazement with how beautifully everything was presented. Everything in the bowl was absolutely delicious. The noodles itself, the bok choy, and tender pork were a perfect combination in such a delicious broth. We were able to get a side of ramen sauce and chili sauce to add to our bowl as we please. Jinya well exceeded my expectations and provided a perfect conduit for a great lunch experience. I also liked how loud the overhead music was...but sadly, it was elevator music. Very dated. If it was something a bit more contemporary (metro lounge?), it would have been way nicer. Now, the food! I ordered their Doza Ramen, which looked spicy from the pictures...but I ended up with a very mild broth, with hardly any red chile sauce or spice to it at all. I even asked if they can add more chili and/or spice to it, and the waitress basically said that's not possible (What?!? Of course you can!!). Anyway, she said I can add Siracha sauce. (???) Guess she assumed this was the first time I had ramen lol?!? The Pork Chashu was nice and tender, but very small portion...and a tiny portion of ground pork (of beef?) and mushroom as well. Just skimpy toppings all around...yet this bowl was priced 18 bucks. I also hated how they didn't even bother to split open the egg. Also, I wasn't a fan of their super-thin noodles either. Just look at how unappetizing this bowl looked! So basically, this ramen struck out on several accounts. Possibly the weakest ramen I've had in a restaurant in years?? I managed to down at least one third of it though. Then this Sampler Tempura. While the portion of plentiful, I thought the batter was weak...and well, some of the veggie tempura just tasted BAD. Especially the Brussel Sprouts (which I normally love) had this sour taste to it? I was also disappointed that they didn't include Broccoli in the mix. I was only able to eat half of this. Just not that good. I just can't sugarcoat it. I was not into their ramen or this sampler tempura. Both too mild...very bland. Also...they charge you an additional dollar if you use credit card. Something I don't recall seeing on the menu. Given such high ratings from Yelp, I had high hopes for this place...but I left scratching my head. I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

Once we got there we were sat down immediately. Once seated our server, very polite Spanish young woman came to greet us and took our orders. The server even recommended a kids meal for our daugther. So far so good. Our food comes and we realized we have no utensils and my daughter's noodles had no broth in it. It was dry noodles. The server comes back asked us if we needed anything and we said yes can we have some utensils please? A fork and some chopsticks and broth for my daughters noodles. They are dry. She says sure no problem and leaves. Now while we are waiting two Spanish women we seated behind us. In the time we were waiting the two guest behind us placed their orders and got their food. When the server comes back she hands us 3 pairs of chopsticks and garlic. Walks back to the two women and hands one of them a fork. Still no fork or broth my daughter's noodles. My wife had to pour the broth from her ramen into our daughter's bowl so she can eat. The server comes back again with 3 GOT DAMN SPOONS and says she couldn't find any more forks. So in the entire restaurant theirs not ONE FORK. I said but you just gave those customers a fork. Pointing to the guest behind us. She says sorry and walks over to the guest behind us. The server starts talking to the guest in Spanish but little does she know I speak Spanish. The server starts complaining about us to the guest saying that we're asking for too many things and we need to shut up and just eat our food. when I told my wife that they're talking about us, she immediately asked for the manager we explained our situation and the manager immediately comped our meal. Terrible experience. Atleast we didn't have to pay for it.
