Somehow I've missed out on this hidden gem for some time. I'm a vegetarian (pescatarian but avoid having to always define that to people) and they do not disappoint. At first, I thought my order was wrong because their meat-substitute is seasoned and prepared to look eerily similar to pork or chicken -- BUT IT'S NOT! The food is more than most can eat in one sitting, but the temptation to finish your dish will pull very hard on you because of how tasty it is! For me, I get the tofu with avocado added - DO IT! And add a spring or summer roll depending on my mood. The peanut sauce that comes with rolls is fresh and the perfect accompaniment. The cashier made great recommendations, sharing the menu favorites. In addition to great food, I appreciate the fact that this location has ample parking to accommodate seating of the space. It's a small, quick dine-in space, but the designers did a great job laying out the space. I would not recommend it for large groups. However, if I were Crispy, I would certainly consider adding a patio area (hint, hint). The sandwich was a perfect light lunch bite for those who are light eaters...well proportioned with seasoned meat, pickles and the right amount of heat. This review is based on one visit for bubble tea. If (when) I return, I will update this with information on food, but I'm not in the area often and I want to sing their praises. To start with, the woman working was absolutely lovely. She was welcoming, helpful with suggestions after asking if it was our first visit, and attentive. We were very impressed and that alone makes me want to support this place. The bubble tea was also fabulous. I chose the Thai Tea milk tea with boba and loved it. My sister (who loves bubble tea and will drive distances to try new places) had her usual order of a Taro Smoothie (which is dairy based, vs a slushee which is juice based) with boba. Both were excellent. The menu was expansive with milk tea, smoothie, slushee, different toppings (like jellies), and a selection of other options that looked interesting (though perhaps too adventurous for me). The sandwiches all looked (and smelled) good. She said the most popular one was the grilled pork, so I'll try that on my next visit. I highly recommend trying this place! read more

Honestly my favorite banh mi place in town and I highly recommend it to everyone! I've been to both location countless times and it never disappoints. I love to get the grilled pork banh mi and their jackfruit smoothie. The banh mi is pack with delicious flavors from the lemongrass pork to the crunchy pickled daikon and carrots. I've tried lots of their drinks, such as the thai tea, sugar cane, che thai (dessert drink), etc, and it's just as great. Service is always quick and I never wait long for my food to come out. Their sandwiches are good either way, and the bread is soft just like I like it. I hate toasty crispy flaky bread for my bahn mi sandwiches. Slightly toasted is ok but I prefer a softer bread. Their sweet potato fries and spring rolls are good also. Dining area is a bit small but I've eaten in several times and I've eaten my food on my ride home. Just tastes soooo good. We order here frequently, and I love their grilled pork banh mi. It's one of the best in Charlotte. There were a couple times we ordered a bit later in the day and they have run out of the pork. I usually get their summer rolls and they are usually really good. Sometimes they can have a harder, and dry rice paper shell (seems like they prep them in the morning) - so for lunch I recommended but dinner I usually do not order them unless I'm craving it. read more

Many establishments use powdered taro mix that comes presweetened and honestly just doesn't taste great. Not here though! They make it unsweetened and then add sweetness if you request it. Seriously this will now be my regular spot in town for boba tea. Boba is also cooked to perfection not too chewy or too sweet. My only compliant would be the small portion of boba the second time I ordered the tea. Not a huge deal, but something to think about in terms of consistency. So far, I have only had one grilled pork banh mi here. It was a solid sandwich for sure. Great meat quality, up until I got a huge chunk of fat at the end of my sandwich. But BEST of all was that grilled pork Banh mi sandwich. It was thinly sliced lemongrass marinated pork grilled to perfection on a toasted french baguette with butter.
