Great drinks! I absolutely loved the UBE latte--it was amazing. It had just the right amount of sweetness, perfectly balanced and delicious. If I'm ever in Whittier again, I'll definitely be back for another one!

You can taste the Jasmine syrup and even as a latte, it somehow also tastes like a milk tea! I'm curious to try a drink with their black sesame syrup next time. There is a parking lot at the back that we weren't aware of, so we parked around the corner on the street. A lot of seating and the high ceiling is nice, staff were friendly. My friend tried the Cloudy ($7) which is described as red date, pear, and cream, so she wasn't expecting coffee to be in it LOL. Now you know! I only wish they closed later than 4:30pm T-T

Service is efficient and our drinks came out decently quickly. This was around lunch time on a Sunday. As with almost every new drink or coffee place, minimalist aesthetic and a place for people to study and catch up I suppose. Wouldn't say it's the most unique. We got the: 1) Hojicha Latte: -We got this iced and you have the option to sweeten it with simple syrup or something else. We got this with a black sesame flavor and just the standard milk that it came with. -Not too sweet, but the taste of the sesame or even the hojicha can be a bit stronger as we've had similar drinks to this that were more appealing. 2) Iced Chocolate Milk: -I mean you can't really mess this up to be honest. It's mixed well and doesn't taste scathingly sweet like a bottled chocolate milk. My boyfriend got a no sugar coffee here and it still tasted pretty sweet (like unadjusted Starbucks sweet) and it was just tossed into my chocolate milk because he couldn't stomach it. Overall, it's just okay. I'm not really a coffee person, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

We waited in line about 5 minutes which gave me time to check out their main menu and a cute customer favorites menu. I also appreciated the art on the walls, the sticker fridge, and the bookshelf with books of all types and games. I ordered the April iced: quad shot latte, 1 pump honey, cinnamon, and oat milk. J ordered a large cold brew. The April is good, the espresso is very present but not overwhelming and I knew what to expect. The cold brew could be stronger but it tastes good.

It's conveniently right off the 60 freeway, with both indoor and outdoor seating and a welcoming local feel. The service is quick and efficient, and I appreciate supporting places like this over big corporate chains. I've tried the turkey & cheese croissant, spinach & ricotta croissant, everything bagel, and chocolate chip cookie, all really good. I also like that they heat everything in a toaster oven instead of a microwave. The coffee is consistently good, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

When I showed the barista a photo of the drink I'd seen online, she explained that the original photos were taken when they first opened and that they've since made some improvements to the recipe. Originally, the espresso sat on top of the drink, which looked beautiful but sometimes meant customers would only taste milk or cream from the bottom. Now the espresso is mixed throughout the drink for a much better balance. The only thing you'll want to do is give it a quick stir or shake before drinking. Some of the brown sugar settles at the bottom, so if you immediately stick your straw down there, you'll get a mouthful of brown sugar crystals. Not necessarily a bad thing--but definitely worth mixing first! Once mixed, the drink was fantastic. The espresso was bold without being bitter, the brown sugar added just the right amount of sweetness, and everything felt really well balanced. It was one of those coffees that makes you slow down for a second and appreciate how good it is. I also picked up a vanilla bean sourdough scone, and wow--that paired perfectly with the coffee. It was flavorful, not overly sweet, and honestly the perfect breakfast treat alongside the shaken espresso. The café itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and lots of seating. They open early (7:00 am), which is a huge plus if you're heading to work and need a quality coffee stop before your day starts. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day. There are a few spaces nearby, but Whittier Boulevard tends to stay busy, so you may need to park on a side street or across the street if the front spots are taken. Overall, this was a great experience. Between the excellent coffee, delicious pastries, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, it's easy to see why people keep recommending this spot. If you're in Montebello and looking to support a local coffee shop, Roam & Brew is definitely worth a visit

I always order the matcha with 1.5 scoops of matcha, vanilla syrup, and light ice, and it's consistently perfect every single time, rich, smooth, not watered down, and clearly made with quality matcha. You can actually taste it, which sadly isn't a given these days. My boyfriend's go-to is the vanilla cold brew with a splash of whole milk, and it never misses. Smooth, balanced, not overly sweet, just really well done. Beyond the drinks, the vibe is what really sets Roam & Brew apart. It's always busy for a reason. Friendly staff, welcoming energy, and a place that genuinely feels like it was built for the community. You never feel rushed or like just another order. Consistency, quality, and care are everything in a coffee shop, and Roam & Brew nailed all three. It's obvious how much thought goes into what they serve and how they show up for customers. Montebello is lucky to have had this spot, and it's a huge loss to see them go. If you're reading this and still have a chance to visit, do it. This place truly deserved the love it got

After fighting my way through South Bay traffic and making the drive from Hermosa, I can confidently say it was 100% worth it. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of heart. You can tell there's a lot of love behind what they're doing here, and that energy carries through everything from the service to the food and, of course, the coffee. I ordered a quad espresso over ice, and wow... it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the better iced espressos I've had in a long time. Even better, the prices felt very fair for the quality. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles and the frijoladas, and both were incredible. They had this subtle but delicious undertone of spice that kept building with every bite. The surprise star of the visit was their house syrup. It was so good that I ended up buying a bottle to take home. The flavor instantly transported me back to mornings in Mexico with my grandma, waking up early, sipping coffee together, and enjoying the comforting aroma of café de olla. It was one of those unexpected moments where a simple taste brings back a flood of memories. Great coffee, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and a little taste of nostalgia. I'll definitely be making the drive back.

It varies who you get, alot of attitude, eye rolls for no reason. Oddly enough, unless you're someone well known they will go over the moon for you. I do recommend trying it if its your first time and want something not so heavy. I like the chilaquiles, its better when you add a fried egg. Soo yummy, savory, and flavorful! As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics). The coffee is sugary and you unfortunately cant taste some of the coffee. If that's your preference, we'll i recommend. Besides that, the environment is lovely and art they have. Though its a hit or miss with staff especially if you like friendly service.
