Two years later and this bakery is worse than ever! Ever hear of a Bakery being closed on Sunday? Me either. Sunday IS bakery day. After church, everyone goes straight to the bakery. On the other hand, maybe it's best that this place is only open 5 days a week, because their products are so gross! The donuts were God awful, but the Danish were still edible. Not anymore. The Danish "cake" is so bland tasting that they now COVER the tops with globs of liquid powdered sugar...YUCK! And, have you seen what they call "pie"???!!! If they are 5" around, that is generous. You could hold one in the palm of your hand and still see your hand! Maybe, (big maybe) you can cut three pieces from each one. The new owner is not friendly and really needs to learn how to bake. Trust me, if you want delicious cake, pastry, or anything you'd find in a pastry shop/bakery, drive over to Hatboro and visit, "Nonno's". Thank me later. read more

This used to be my favorite bakery shop. They have nice pastries. I went in to buy a box of their prepackage cookies today (which cost $8) for my mom. When I went to pay I was told there was a $10 minimum. What?? Ridiculous. I put them back and left. read more

If it wasn't for the fact that the cakes are so good and the baker, Anita, is so sweet and nice, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK HERE because of the woman at the front. I don't know if she's the owner or what but she is so incredibly rude. I've been here 2 times and had the same rude experience with her. Nasty, rude, unhelpful, impatient. She treats customers like that in front of other customers. Today, when I ordered and she was rude, the woman behind me waiting was standing there with her mouth hung open saying WOW! Small businesses like this one should be happy to be open considering a lot of small businesses close. She should be fired. read more

My family and I have used Warrington Bakery for 40+ years. Today I went in to get a cake for my birthday. I walked in and there was not much of a selection of anything. When I saw the cakes my heart sank. They looked like they were made by a 5 year old. Plain white icing with bumps and lines all throughout and extremely thin that you could see the cake. What they called flowers were blobs of icing. I asked if they had someone different doing the cakes now because what you're offering is nowhere near the quality of what use to be offered. read more

I used this bakery all the time before it was sold. I decided to try it again for a birthday cake. I have always walked in and bought one. When I went in there was a 6 inch vanilla cake with buttercream icing. It did not have anything on it. No balloons flowers sprinkles it was just white. There was a chocolate buttercream 6 inch cake that had sprinkles. I asked if I could buy the 6 inch vanilla and have something written on it for a birthday. The girl behind the counter said sure then someone busted through the back door and screamed in a nasty voice. We don't write on a 6 inch cake. I was I was looking kind of confused and the girl behind the counter nicely said well maybe we can decorate it then she decided to say they could write on the 7 inch cake that was an additional $12 at that point I was so appalled by how rude the person in the back was that I just decided to leave. I can understand if it's messy or doesn't look nice to write on the 6 inch, but there's so many other ways to say that you're running a business. There's no need to scream and yell over something so ridiculous on the other hand. Warrington Pastry Shop is located in the middle of a busy shopping center - it is easy to miss. The shop is small, but has 3 large display cases packed full with delicious pastries. I visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was clear the selection was picked over so I would recommend going early. I ordered cupcakes, donuts, and a loaf cake. The cupcakes were by far the best thing there. The donuts were well-filled but didn't have much flavor and the loaf cake was a bit dry. It's definitely worth a visit! read more

This is an AMAZING bakery and it is STILL IN BUSINESS AND OPEN. I have been coming here since I was a little girl and travel a distance because it is so worth it. Friendly staff and fabulous baked goods. There are bakeries closer to where I live now, but I have no interest in going anywhere else. The Bakery has not closed but just changed owners. It is open for business. When I called, I did not get an answer and the voicemail simply says to leave a message for this phone number, which had me concerned that perhaps it had closed. I was driving by this morning on my way to work. As I was driving I saw the bakery. I thought it would be a nice treat to buy some sweets for a few people at my office and my son. As I walked in this very sweet lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile and was super sweet. As I browsed around to see what I would like, I saw her take a sheet pan of butter cakes out. I saw that they had plenty and I asked if I could get three of those and a container of danishes. She very nicely said she would have to ask her boss, because they typically need an order to sell bulk of this item. I explained it wasn't a big deal and I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. She asked someone in the back and agreed to sell them to me, I was excited. Then someone from the back came out and seemed to be very angry about the situation. I tried to explain that I was driving by and this was not a plan to come buy three of this item. She tells me with her hand up in the air, that she didn't want to hear any excuses. I was surprised, I was spending $70 in this store for a few items. I told her, if she didn't want to sell them,i understood and I didn't have to buy them. She replied very angry, next time place an order. I again explained this was not a plan,I was driving by. Anyway, I was made to feel bad for purchasing and it tainted the experience. I am reviewing on service and butter cake. Those two things only. Service was great! Among this covid crisis, they got my order in over the phone and brought it to my car wearing a mask and gloves. I was quite pleased with the ordering and pickup process. NOW THE BUTTER CAKE.. SHUT the front door! It is sensational. The cake is so soft. The butter topping is SO gooey. I literally licked the plate clean because none of that sweet, delectable topping should be wasted. If you can get there at 7 AM you might get what you want. If you have to go in the afternoon forget it. You will never find what you want. The bakery goods are good but very limited. Don't go by their open and close times. That place closes shop whenever. I have recently gone there two times and the doors were locked and the sign in the window clearly shows that they should be open for a few more hours. read more

Okay , it's been awhile I had to update my review! I've been going to this bakery since I was a little kid. I used to come here with my mom and brother. My brother and I would each pick out one of the iced cookies with the stenciled designs of the smiley face cookies with sprinkles. Well today I got a hankering for one of those cookies and I am so happy to say that my experience was amazing! I got my delicious smiley face cookie but that was just one of the items they offered. They had butter cakes and brownies and cupcakes! They definitely change their items a lot which is great and you can trust that everything will be fresh. Best Bakery ever! This has been my families bakery for decades and I am so happy it continues to be in business. We have gotten all of our birthday cakes here each year and when friends try the cake, they ALWAYS ask where it came from because it is so good. The danish are heavenly. The doughnuts are fabulous. I've ordered beautiful cakes from them before and have always been happy. Yesterday I picked a cake that should have been a 2 tier cake and it looked like a hat instead! It was horrible!!!! Besides the shape the edges were so unfinished that it didn't look like a professional had made it. The taste wasn't great either. It was dry maybe it was baked days ago. Purchased baked goods that were so disgusting you couldn't eat. Contacted the bakery and was told to return. When returning counter person was rude and offered partial store credit. Didn't want to cause a scene so I called the bakery after to speak with owner. Owner wouldn't come to phone and counter person was rude. The owner finally called back, she was rude and threatened to sue me. Never received a refund for items they were not consumable. Waste of money. Rude beyond belief. Save your money and go somewhere else. Horrible products and service! This place should be closed down for serving rancid nuts in their products. read more

We moved to Doylestown a little over 2 years ago. We love a good bakery. Our go to bakeries especially for cream donuts for years!! use to be Weinrich's in Willow Grove when we lived closer to that area & Kohler's when we were at shore. Once in Doylestown Weinrich's was a little far but when we couldn't find a Sunday bakery for cream donuts we made the trip. Weinrich's no longer makes cream donuts:-( so began our search for a good cream donut. After giving up our Sunday cream donut search we discovered Warrington Pastry!! I have been going to this bakery for over 20+ years. Everything that I have ever bought in this bakery has been delicious. Butter cakes, danish, and cookies are the best. Most recently I ordered two birthday cakes. I'm sorry to say, that I was very disappointed in the taste and texture of both. The cake was very dry and the icing rather tasteless. These cakes were expensive. Two of the largest round cakes that I could buy and I was mortified when I tasted them. They were for special occasions and the guests did not eat them. I raved about this bakery and I'm confused about why they tasted so bad. When I ordered the first cake I thought it was a new baker that didn't quite have the touch. When I got the second cake and it was just as bad I thought maybe there might be a new baker or the bakery change hands. That's how bad they were. They were decorated beautifully and were very impressive looking but they did not taste good at all. I wanted to bring the cake back to the bakery but I just didn't have the time or the energy. If they changed the recipe or are using cheaper ingredients that may be the cause. I was just disappointed because I was responsible for bringing the cakes to both of these occasions and was totally embarrassed. I recently moved to the Jamison Area from Abington and I normally went to Weinrich's Bakery for everything. So now when I needed a Bridal shower cake for my future daughter-in-law, I called Weinrich's but they were closed for a few weeks, taking a break. I then searched for local bakeries and found Warrington Pastry Shop and I'm so glad I did! Not only did they make a beautiful cake from a photo I had, but it was ready exactly when they said it would be. Discreetly tucked away in the Warrington Shopping Center, The Pastry Shop has one of the finest selection of cookies in the area. Not to mention their selection of pastries is outstanding, hence their name. This was my first trip there and ended up with a coffee cake to take to my parents and a couple of cannolis for my girl and I to enjoy.
