Cool concept, great vibes, excellent choice of beverages, and popcorn to boot. The sheer amount of different beers to try alone makes this a top spot in Philly, but a self service place with lots of seating? Even better. Came here with some friends on the way to dinner, and we could've stayed the whole night. Got to try some really great local sour beers and being able to pay per pour means I get exactly what I want, and can mix a beer or two. My wife mixed a caramel stout with an espresso martini, and that was the highlight of the trip. The popcorn hit the spot as we sipped our beers. Would definitely come back for a more extended stay with some great local beers. Definitely hit this place up when you are in the area!

Love this, a really cool concept. I'm used to having something like this at a place called the wine room where I'm from. Basically you walk around and try different wines from different places well sweet and dry. This time around you try different beers and alcoholic beverages. Same concept but slightly different. I loved it. It gave me an opportunity to try a whole lot of different things in a small period of time. Needless to say, I definitely walked out a little tipsy and was happy about that. When I finally got the chance to have a seat, I got the chance to play some games before I decided to go. I had a lot of fun and definitely would come back.

Fun, unique bar with self serve drinks. Great vibes and love the swing seating. The snacks and photo booth are a great touch as well. The variety of drinks was huge, all different types of beers, cocktails, and wine.

Came here for the casualness and a place to take my zoom meeting. Not too many people here but enough to keep this place in business on this Monday evening. Many choices via tap that are self serve. Reasonable prices. Wish the lights were brighter but that is not to be expected. Staff is very friendly here. Bathrooms are clean. Last minute free hot popcorn bags here and I took a bag, went outside, and tried to give some to a homeless man but he didn't want it.

Honestly!!!!! WHAT!! I've never been to a self-pour taproom so this was an amazing introduction. You check in and connect your card and then the rest is history. They have beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, soda, and coffee on the tap. I mean who can resist Spressy Tini on TAP?! You tap your card and pour what you like and it tells you how much it was. It was cost effective too. We spent 30 bucks and had 8 drinks that consisted of beer, a margarita, and an espresso martini. They also have some snacks, basic food choices, and games to play with your group. They also have TVs to watch sports and such. They have these cool swing seats but be careful...there was a causality...LOL... Overall, such a COOL SPOT.

They have been open about a year now and it's still great to stop in for a drink. BYOF (bring your own food) as well. They also have some other snacks, drinks, and games behind the counter. All staff are great and happy to help. Sometimes a bit too loud with the music volume on weekend nights, but it's a good vibe when a game is on. Good spot. Thanks

Phenomenal first time experience! I was walking through Center City and came across Tapster and I'm glad I did! The ambiance overall is fun (take a look at the swings, pictured). The venue is very spacious, bright and comfortable. From the outside looking in you can imagine with the aesthetic, so I'm glad I went in. Ordering food was simple, as it was delivered from next door. The staff were very informative with ordering and the process while still being very hospitable. I wish I remembered their names at the front!! The wings were very good! I'm usually not a sweet popcorn kind of person but this brand/style that was offered was not at all too sweet! The QR code menu had some great options but I was in the mood for wings and I'm glad I made the choice! I initially went in to watch a particular game (they weren't able to get the channel) but I still ended up staying due to starting off with a great time and not wanting to leave! The tap card process was also VERY efficient and trusting! I enjoyed my beer experience!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. My friends and I came here 3 times in one weekend after we ran the philly marathon. My phrase of the weekend was "if i die, cremate me and spread my ashes at tapster." and we all bought shirts. The vibes were so fun, they have swings around the tables and i spent 65 dollars on the photobooth because i loved it. Josh, who works there, was so nice and personable and put up with us being drunk and annoying. also very clean place and you can place a food order for a place nearby and they bring it to you. i love tapster

This place is new, unique, and very cute/chill on the inside. They don't have much food here. A couple of hot snacks to order like nachos and stuff. This is more of a drink place. They have a BUNCH of stuff all on tap. They have wine, beer, and coffee all on tap. If you're a beer person like me, this is a great place to come and try a little bit of everything. I ended up getting an Ace Pineapple sour, and it was delicious! Everything here is self-serve, and they charge by the ounce, so if you're pouring heavy, your bill is gonna be higher. They read your debit/credit card when before you start and you pay at the end. The inky reason why they didn't get 5 starts is because I feel like they didn't have much of a coffee/non-drinker selection of drinks on tap. They also didn't have milk and flavorings for the coffee. If they had that and more food, I think that would've made them a 5 star spot.

I've been eye-ing this place to open and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The moment you walked in, the establishment feels like a coffee shop joint, except, instead of coffees, you'll replenish with alcohol; smart move by the owner. Inside is hip, colorful, and has plenty of seatings. As you go in further, you will find a photo booth to remind you of your drunken nights. Tapster Philly opens till late night, which is something that I've been looking for; big win. Instruction: 1. Get a tapster card 2. Find any drinks (beer/cider/wine) that sparks your interest. 3. Tap on the one you'd like to taste or just go for the full size glass. It goes by weight. 4. Repeat, but take it light on the tapping. Not everyone tap tap tap like me. 5. Return the card and close out. Food: i don't believe they sell food, but pretty sure you can byof.

This place is new to philly and is a cool concept. It's a casual place where you can sample a bunch of different beers, ciders, other alcoholic drinks, kombuchas, and one type of cold brew. The interior is amazingly decorated. They have a lot of seating and fun board games! They also have tables with swings for seats. This place a great to bring a group of friends. I came here because my boyfriend is a beer connoisseur but I don't drink so my options were pretty limited. I came with the intention of getting a cold brew but there weren't any syrups or milk options to add. So I ended up drinking water however, mentioning this to the manager Roman, he was receptive to the idea of adding syrup and milk options for the future! He was super friendly and welcoming. You come in, they check your ID and give you a tapster card you essentially use to pour yourself drinks from the wall and it acts as your tab. It will keep track of the ounces you pour and total it up at the end. Keep in mind that each beverage has its own price per ounce - they're all between 50 cents and 90 cents per ounce I believe!

    Lydia E.

So much fun! You give your credit card up front and then get a "debit card" to charge whatever drinks you want by the ounce on draft. In addition to a wide beer menu, they also have cider and seltzer, draft cocktails, wine, coand non alcoholic options! Not the place to go for food. They have plenty of space and games available so it's a great place to hang out with friends, including larger groups.

You can buy individual shots at the counter.
    Marissa Y.

Behold 57 self serve rotating taps, including beer, wines, ciders, coffee, and craft soda. You get a swipe card, like the arcade, which tallies what you buy. You can try as much or as little as you'd like because it charges you by the ounce. Some are as cheap as 20 or 30 cents an ounce. There is a an array of seating, from large and small high top tables, singing chairs, and a step structure. There are 4, individual bathrooms that were clean and well stocked. For $6 you can get 2 identical prints of photos from the Photo Booth, which can be emailed to you with a gif. Snacks can be purchased but you can bring whatever you'd to eat as well. The staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. You can also reserve the space for groups by sending an email to events coordinator, who I might add was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.
