They have the very best cup of coffee in Erie, great customer service, excellent places to sit and chat, work, or just sip your coffee. Also great patio space as the weather warms. Just a wonderful coffee shop! The lattes are so smooth and flavorful - better than you will find anywhere and the roasted coffee to take home is excellent. I have been here about 10 times and the regular coffee is hit or miss as far as flavor/strength, very weak like drinking dirty water; also had a few Americano's and the same thing, very weak. The gal behind the counter was very nice and had a mask on - while the other 7 white uneducated males sat around like beached whales basking in their wholly-then-though attitude. Also, the owners do not believe in the covid since everyone who was sitting in the place had no masks on and were all within 2 feet of each other. The 'freedom' sign on the front door is a nice touch of showing zero empathy/respect for human life. I stand by my review...not respecting an active pandemic is just another reason not to go to this place. Love the uneducated comments about rights, standing up for your idiotic disrespectful views, only care about you, zero empathy for others, etc. lol. It's your choice. Hopefully places like this will feel the impact and go out of business because of their stupid political stance. It's a coffee place not your personal political platform although it is your right to alienate 50% of your business. read more

Lovely, cozy coffee spot with a big selection of baked goods and quick meals to go. Really nice outdoor seating and cool handmade wood tables and some comfy overstuffed chairs indoors. I was surprised that this cute little coffee shop ended up in Erie. From the moment I entered it felt cozy and inviting. The amount of coffee options and food was great. I chose the Chai Latte with Soy and and loved every delicious last bit. I look forward to trying it again soon and trying one of the cinnamon rolls or pastries, or quiche. It's a perfect place to meet friends and enjoy indoor or outdoor seating. This little coffee shop is worth coming to Erie for. You need to come and give it a try. read more

Sad to see a business prioritize their political views over public health. I am 9 months pregnant and was very uncomfortable to walk in and see that none of the staff were wearing masks. Coffee tastes burned. My father got a breakfast burrito and it was still frozen in the middle. Feels crowded and dark. Behind the counter and bathrooms are dirty and it just doesn't feel like a clean environment. Won't ever be back. read more

The teenagers here have no idea what they are doing or how to handle multiple customers at once. They also told me the black bean burrito was vegan and it was full of eggs and cheese. I'm severely lactose intolerant and two bites in realized their mistake because my stomach started cramping. Would not recommend this coffee shop. read more

My visit to Cristos was delightful. The staff is super friendly and engaging, practically leaping out of their way to be helpful. They clearly love where they work and getting to know the "regulars". The coffee was delicious, my wife said it's one of the best cups she's ever had. They also have tasty little breads, gluten free options, and other items that can be served cold or warm. I grabbed a little Evol brand steak fajita bowl that was a fantastic little snack. They also have a bar with plenty of outlets to plug in a laptop and a playlist that is energizing, yet not distracting. This was my first time here...and I won't be coming back anytime soon. The 2 young ladies were overwhelmed for the amount of customers that were in the store and when you first walk in you are greeted with a huge pastry case instead of a warm hello...when your order is finally taken you are standing in the way of others getting lids for their drinks and the rest room door so there really is no good place to be. The Chi Latte and Hot Chocolate I ordered were warm at best even though I asked for hot temp. When I got to the end of the counter to pick up my drinks I noticed the sink was leaking into a large red bucket and spilling onto the floor. One of the young ladies stopped making drinks dumped some of the water into a much smaller disinfectant green bucket, pulled the red bucket aside and put the green bucket under the leak. Then when back to making drinks. Now I am not an expert but plumbers do make emergency calls. I am also thinking this might be a health violation. Either way it's just gross. read more

I've been traveling for the last five days (to Cali) and what I wouldn't give for a Cristos coffee right now. I always google to see the best coffee places around me and look at reviews. So this review isn't for those who live in Erie, Colorado, because we know that Cristos ROCKS! If you live in Erie, care about coffee and DON'T know this fact, then GET TO CRISTOS! No, this review is to boost Cristos visibility AND for the traveling coffee aficionados. Cristos has everything that you want in a coffee shop. Tables to sit at or a bar looking out a window, free wireless internet, baked goods (OMg, fantastic), mugs, t-shirts, etc. But what you care about, fundamentally, is the coffee. And whether you'll be treated well by the barista(s). The coffee is amazing. I drink a "cortado" which is equal parts espresso and half and half. Before adding any sugar, I take a good drink so that I can gauge the quality of the coffee. Really. This is good stuff! The cups are paper! I read every review for any shop I'm contemplating to see what they use and if the word "styrofoam" is mentioned anywhere, I look elsewhere. I don't put on airs, I try not to be obnoxious, but any way you slice it, styrofoam adds a weird chemical flavor and no serious coffee shop puts their nuanced, good-quality brew in styrofoam. NO STYROFOAM HERE! The baristas were knowledgeable and friendly. I noticed on the shelves packaged beans and when I asked how old they were, the answer was that the owner roasts them at home and since beans lose all flavor and nuance after about two weeks, the beans are never old. With my coffee purchase, I bought beans and have since used them at home and it's good coffee too. I can recommend this coffee establishment 100%! read more

I'm just going to admit...I've become anti Starbucks. I feel like my coffee isn't up to par anymore whenever I order from Starbucks. Almost every hot drink I order comes back syrupy and sweeter than cake. You can't even taste the caffeine in your coffee. Oh no, but not at Cristo's. I first heard about Cristo's on the Erie facebook page and never actually knew where it was located. After much investigation, I found it slightly hidden on the corner of the Erie commons plaza strip. After walking in, I could see that the atmosphere was friendly. The barsita greeted me and took my order. She was actually swamped with other orders, but took time to take my order and make other drinks. I was happy to see that she didn't rush making her coffee orders. She was careful but efficient. The end result? I had a medium cafe au lait with a hint of vanilla. Subtle and bittersweet with the perfect balance of vanilla and coffee. And oh my, the milk froth top off was the best thing on that chilly windy day. And for $2.45? Who could beat that? I'm so happy they opened up in town. read more

I just moved into the neighborhood and Cristo's has become my "zone." I'm unbelievably productive here and it will be thanks to this coffee shop that I will successfully complete my doctorate someday. The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced, the vibe is comfy and inviting, the music is great and the staff is fabulous and they know their stuff when it comes to coffee. Also, and I can't believe I'm saying this on the internet, but they have the BEST toilet paper. I don't know why but that makes a huge difference to me. Thank God for Cristos. Coffee tasted over roasted and burnt. Not much flavor. Further, the staff was cleaning out the fridge and the female barista was explaining to the male barista the need to throw out expired product. He made a comment to not throw it out unless mold was visible. I would not buy food from his place... that's a health code violation. I won't be going back again even if the coffee was amazing. I threw my drink away after hearing that conversation. Who knows how clean the place is? Gross. read more

I really enjoyed my visit there a few weeks ago the coffee and food were good, however, my experience has been tainted because I have tried numerous times to contact this company via telephone to see if I left my prescription glasses there. A live person NEVER answers the phone regardless of the time of day. I have left 3 voice messages for Eric (the name of the person on Cristo's phone recording) and sent 2 e-mails over the course of the last 2 weeks. If anyone from the store sees this, I would appreciate them checking their voice mail/e-mail and get back to me, either way, about the glasses. I am a business owner and I find it extremely disappointing to be treated this way knowing how hard I work to take care of my customers. read more

My sister and I went to try Cristos Coffee instead of Starbucks to try something new. We'll be sticking with Starbucks!! My large latte was only 3/4 full including foam, and had no taste whatsoever. The frappe my sister ordered had a gross aftertaste. Only thing I would be back for is the carrot cake bread. read more

I want to love them, and keep trying. Great that it's locally owned, that's about it. We've been about a dozen times, and have kept going because it's convenient, and were hoping it'd get better. -Mediocre coffee and espresso. If you love the taste of Starbucks (I don't), it's comparable. -Quality of drinks varies greatly depending on who makes them -Opens late. 8am on weekends. Seriously?!?! -Floor is always filthy. Was there just after 8 yesterday, and floor clearly had not been swept or mopped at closing the day before. Stains from spilled drinks, crumbs and straw wrappers everywhere... Gross -Baked goods aren't very good. My guess is they sit there for several days. Have tried the breakfast burritos, scones, and muffins. I'd rather pass than eat them. -Layout is bad. Too many tiny tables crammed in. Makes it awkward to stand and wait for your drink, unless you like leering over a table or standing directly in front of a restroom door. I'm sad that I don't love it, but my wallet isn't. Otherwise, I'd be there everyday. I'd pass and drive further for better coffee and environs. read more

Snacks are alright, location is between old town and library/rec center, a bike path (Coal Creek bike trail) is south of here, has parking for vehicles/bicycles, a nice interior that really reminds me of grandmas house, staff is nice, and isn't uncomfortably far from I25 if you need to pull over for a quick snack or something.
