This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the greater Erie/broomfield/lafayette/louisville area. Staff is amazing and the quality of coffee is great. It's a great stop to make off of the coal creek trail to take a break and enjoy the sunlight in their outdoor seating area. Plus a great area inside to work or hang out. My favorite thing they offer is the Arctic Fox which is their homemade vanilla latte slushie. Truly cannot be beat on a hot day! read more

I have been going here once a week with a friend. It's a great place in downtown Erie, the service is great with friendly baristas. The coffee is great, I keep it regular with drip but clearly have a wide selection. The pastries and few breakfast burritos are so good! I needed a space to take a video call that had a snack because I was starving and a quick coffee. I was in the area and honestly this little strip of Erie is such a hidden gem with so many cute places along it's 2-3 blocks. I found this coffee shop on Yelp and am so glad I did. It has a modern, trendy vibe with natural elements and the cutest mural of Erie on the counter behind it. Their menu is basic which works in their favour and they have these amazing pastries that look and taste absolutely fantastic. I ordered an oat milk vanilla cappuccino and got a plain croissant. The total is as around 10$ which was very reasonable for the quality and the area and for the taste. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area that is a good size for small groups and to work individually. There are plenty of outlets for those wanting to do work as well as umbrellas outside for those who prefer fresh air. They provide high chairs, slings, and have a clean bathroom WITH a changing table as well as a sectioned off kiddy area with a couple toys so parents can keep their kiddos entertained and helps minimize the sound of loud kids. I will definitely be back and am sad I don't live closer because this would be the perfect place for me to feel comfy with my little one while getting the caffeine I desperately need. read more

My partner and I just moved to the area and have stopped in for a coffee at Fox Dog twice - we are trying to get a feel for the town and all it has to offer. Both times we have been in, we have had an excellent experience. The shop itself is on the smaller side, as most coffee shops are, but has an impressive number of tables that feel comfortably spaced out. I've not once felt crowded or uncomfortable by the space. The menu is pretty standard for what you'd expect at a local coffee place and offers a nice variety of different beverages and baked goods. All of the pastries we've ordered so far are fresh as can be and beautifully made - this is something I'd like to try more of for sure. I absolutely love pastries lol. The girls behind the counter I've interacted with during these two visits have always been so very sweet and attentive and it feels like they have an awesome relationship with one another as well as with the folks that visit the coffee shop on a regular basis. I love that! The parking lot is somewhat small and is shared between four or five other small businesses in the same little strip. We haven't had issues parking as of now, but during busy times there is also quite a bit of street parking available and the downtown area is easy to walk, so you won't ever really be too far to walk from anywhere you might park. I'll be back in for sure to update my thoughts on the baked goods and any unique drinks I might try! read more

Fun semi private room to work or let your little ones play, since there is some kid stuff in there to occupy them.. Fox Dog Coffee is a diamond in the rough. Located in the very small community of Downtown Erie, the family owned coffee shop receives high praise from locals that's most definitely warranted. I'm not in the area often (mainly when we board the pups) but I'll make it a point to pop in here when I am. Very cute, modern shop with sleek design, free WiFi and friendly faces. An Americano is my standard order and there's was delightful. So much so, I ordered a second! Additionally, their pastry game was on point. I ordered a bacon cheddar & chive scone and it was extremely tasty. Scones are more of a dryer food and I found there's to be moist and flavorful. The assumed owner and rotating baristas were friendly and polite. For a Tuesday morning a fair amount of people trickled in and out. With some like me working remotely. I love that all the beans are locally sourced but then was sorely disappointed to find the peppermint mocha had no taste of peppermint and the chocolate portion was basic Hershey's syrup - would have been much better with an alternative chocolate source or better yet, a house made mocha. Would consider giving it a second run but would not go out of my way. read more

A cute little cafe on the corner of a retail stripmall. Plenty of parking and a warm inviting atmosphere. We ordered a cold brew, great flavor, and an Arctic Fox, a slushy latte perfect for a warm day. Everyone was great and would definitely make it a stop along the way in the future. read more

Had a matcha latte as well as an iced latte with whipped cream on top. Both were unsweetened, which is what I wanted and was glad they had that option as the default. The staff was very friendly and the inside was nicely decorated for the holidays with a cute little kids section that I honestly wanted to check it out myself as a 21 year old haha. Only thing that disappointed me was their lack of milk alternatives (oat and almond as the only options) as well as their juice option only being Apple juice. The coffee was good but lacked the espresso/coffee flavor and was not as creamy as expected. All in all this place was nice but their coffee is mid and the milk alternatives are a little bit upsetting. Definitely not the kind of coffee shop for studying at but would be great for a nice coffee date/hangout. I liked that they had outdoor seating options too!! read more

The coffee is great and they will create about anything you ask and even if you ask the owner Ben, he will make up a coffee drink for you special. Go try the best coffee here for a change. Really great coffee here in Erie. The owner was super accommodating and offered to adjust a custom drink to taste -- it was their version of a peppermint mocha and hands down the best I've had!
