Such a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The inside feels cozy and welcoming like an old country home. There was a fireplace by the entrance and a small bar area. Service was friendly and quick. The pancakes were a standout with a crisp exterior and fluffy center. Ask for the real maple syrup not the stuff on the table. The Philly cheesesteak omelette was loaded with steak and had great flavor. If you go on a Sunday, get there before the church crowd or you will wait. Overall, a really solid breakfast/brunch spot.

Great food!! Ordered a Benedict and a pancake. Portions are huge, so you can definitely share. Wait staff is very attentive to take your order, but kind of disappear once you get your food. Food came out fast. Took off a star b/c they brought my the wrong Benedict, but it was still very tasty.

It was the Sunday after Thanksgiving weekend and nothing was quiet. In fact, there was a line and a full parking lot but that didn't deter us and it was a lovely day so we figured we might have to wait a little bit. It wasn't more than 10 minutes and we were seated all six of us for a delicious feast of brunch food. The service was excellent. The ambience was incomparable with a fireplace crackling next to us and a variety of different diners, all enjoying their delicacies.

Went here this morning for breakfast. It was quite crowded but then again it was Sunday morning. We were (2) seated pretty quickly 5-8 minutes. Service was very quick and friendly. We ordered a chocolate chip banana pancake and a peach blueberry pancake with a side of sausage. That was the perfect amount to maybe even a little more for two people. The pancakes are huge but so light and delicious. Both were so good but the banana chocolate was definitely the favorite. The iced coffee is also quite good. Would recommend.

Second time here and we can't go wrong. Had to wait a few minutes. Both times we've been here always delicious! Servers are always nice, just a nice condolence. Go if you love pancakes! There are so many options and they are so good!

This is a great spot--delicious breakfast and attentive service. Located in an old house/inn one block from Madison's small town beach. Everything is made from scratch from the corned beef hash to the pancakes and omelettes. Every table gets its own pot of diner-style coffee. Packed even on a weekday in spring. Full bar. Well worth a stop if you're in the area.

I love taverns like Cristy's. My first time here with a friend for lunch as I was on a road trip on 95. Friend had the amazing Reuben, an item they often order, as they live nearby. I ordered the steak burger and it was so good. A delicious blend of sirloin and short ribs. And very large on a very large bun. I also ordered a "side" salad that was so large I took on my road trip in a box--and it became dinner. Salad simple, and that is expected from a tavern. A good counter balance to that rich steak burger which was decadent! Decent service. Unpretentious tavern atmosphere. Nice lunch experience and a nice place to catch up with a friend.

We've been here a number of times and I'm kind of on the fence about this place. The staff has mostly been very pleasant but they are not very well trained. They do not know the floor or the menu very well. The food varies in quality; not just between visits but even on one plate. We had an order that contained 2 poached eggs. One egg was cooked perfectly and the other was very overcooked (like hard boiled eggs). We also had 2 pancakes. One was easily cut with a fork and the other was so tough it was difficult to cut. The restaurant itself is cozy and charming but the parking lot is tough to maneuver in. It is very tight.

It's definitely a little more expensive than some of the other lobster spots we tried, but I honestly liked the food here the most. The lobster meat is lightly seasoned with what tasted like butter and lemon, and it all worked perfectly together without overpowering the lobster. The bun was incredibly soft and loaded with so much meat that it was practically falling apart in the middle. We got the half-pound lobster roll both times and would absolutely order it again, but it is $60. The clam chowder was also excellent. It's creamy without being too thick, and you can really taste all the ingredients. The hot dogs seem to be really popular -- almost everyone was ordering a lobster roll and a hot dog combo. My son loved them so much he had two the first visit! The outdoor seating and water views make it such a relaxing place to sit and eat, and there's also a market on-site where you can buy lobster and shellfish. Definitely one of our favorite stops and somewhere we'd happily return to.

They have a good amount of outdoor seating to the right of the entrance. Inside is a small bar with about eight seats (didn't count) and several high tops. There is also a loft with more seating overhead. We walked up a few steps to enter the building from the parking lot. I'm not sure if the side entrance also has steps so if you have mobility needs, call ahead to check. We sat at the bar and as it was a hot day, I asked for a water before ordering a drink. The water was refilled several times during our visit without my needing to ask. I really appreciate that! The bartender seems to be the owner from the way he was talking and let us know they have live music two night a week plus some nights they offer a special menu like Prime rib night or dogs eat free night. Yes, besides the kids menu, they have a menu for your pup. The interior is very much a barn, with lots of fun, metal signs and train memorabilia all around. Two TV's were on in the front corners of the room so you may be able to watch your game (golf the day we went) but it's not really set up as a sports bar. There is one fair sized restroom for everyone that is clean and locks with a hook and eye latch. They have a good size drinks menu which includes a variety of cocktails, a selection of draft and bottled beers and wine. The bar has quite a collection of whiskeys and tequila's. A separate menu is available for their pub fare foods. The menu is very well crafted. Lots of chicken options, sandwiches and wraps, burgers, hotdogs and salads. My SO got the spicy chicken sandwich. When asked, our bartender let him know it was spicy, but not too spicy and they have hot sauce behind the bar if he wants more heat. Which of course he did. He enjoyed the sandwich; crispy chicken, tasty sauce, fresh veg and bread. Messy to hold, after using several napkins he finished it off w/his knife and fork. Table ware set on the bar after ordering is in small paper sacks. I went for a burger. The patty is quite large, cooked to order and juicy. Fresh veg on there, soft bread and tasty. I enjoyed this burger and it was large enough I almost couldn't finish it. I opted for a side salad (for an up charge) instead of fries. The salad is a good sized side, the veg were fresh and the dressing is on the side. I did try the fries that came with the chicken sandwich and those are really good fries. Fresh potato, crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted. Really good. This was an excellent stop. Chatted with some friendly locals and the barkeep. Had a beverage. Grabbed a tasty sandwich. We left stuffed and happy. What more could you ask.
