This restaurant is located in the beautiful Madison Beach Hotel located right next to the water. I came here for dinner so I didn't really see the views but the restaurant had a classy peaceful vibe and was great for a large group of 12 people. We pretty much had a private room even though you could see the rest of the restaurant. The server was nice and efficiently got everyone drinks. I'm not sure if there was a corkage fee but we got a mix of cocktails and brought our own wine. The oysters were good and not briny. My sea bass was okay, a bit unusual that it came on top of a bed of lentils which lacked flavor. Desserts were excellent though. We got pumpkin cheesecake which was actually in the shape of a pumpkin which was super cute and tasty.

Lovely place to enjoy a meal after a day at the beach. Complimentary valet parking. Food was to die for. The table loved their clam chowder ! I kept it simple and went with fish and chips. The breading on it was perfect! Lobster got two thumbs up, but not the best utensils to pick away at the insides. Blackened salmon was also good but little too much char for my liking. Table service by our waitress, Martha, was great. Came in with an unforgettable smile every time and made our time here welcoming. There was a wait for outdoor dining so we choose to sit inside which still had good visibility of the outside sunset skies.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere on the deck was spectacular (sunset) but what set the evening apart was the helpfulness and professionalism of Robert and Lisa. On a very busy Holiday Weekend Saturday night, they were able to find us 4 seats along the High Rail with a perfect view of Sunset, Faulkner's, and Tuxis. Kudos to the Wharf and the MBH.

We did the buffet today at the Wharf Restaurant in Madison this Thanksgiving. Obviously being located right on the Sound, the views were spectacular, and we enjoyed our seating in the heated deck area. The set up for the buffet itself was a bit clumsy, you had to walk through several narrow areas to get back to your seating. And there was no signage as you entered the restaurant, we had gone through the door leading to the buffet rather than the reservations area, a few other people were confused about that as well. Mixed feelings about the food. All the sides we tried were very good, but the carving station was disappointing. The Prime Rib was not seasoned properly, it ended up tasting very bland. The turkey was even worse -- was processed and had a weird pinkish hue to it. Neither one of us finished our turkey serving. The desserts, on the other hand, were phenomenal. Although I appreciate anyone working hard on a holiday, service was somewhat flat. No one was smiling, and our waitress didn't have much of a personality. It took an extremely long time for us to receive "the add bill" (water, alcoholic beverages, etc). I'm giving the Wharf Restaurant 3 Stars. Honestly, we'd be hard pressed to come back again, because at $95 a head (before the compulsory 18% gratuity and the "add bill"), I feel it's fairly expensive for what you receive. My impression of the Wharf Restaurant is that the food can be "Hit of Miss" -- you could go there and have an outstanding meal or you could have a blah one, it's a crap shoot. Being that we live on the other side of the state, it's doubtful we'll be back anytime soon.

This boutique hotel is so cute. Everyone is nice and welcoming. We came when the sun set so we didn't get to see the water but the hotel room is clean and the restaurant was delicious. I couldn't stop eating the bread haha. Our waiter Martha was friendly and professional and checked on us a multiple times. The hotel room came with a little note from our room attendant Brooke which was a plus and different from other hotels. I would recommend staying here at least once as it is such a different atmosphere. Being on the beach and hearing the waves is something we don't get much often. I feel like I am somewhere else in the world even though I am only a couple hours from my house. Will be coming back soon!!!

The fried cod was some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were very good - love the red pepper remoulade it comes with. French fries and fried clam strips are both excellent - though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the clams could be a bit crispier. The two times we've gotten them, they needed just a touch more crunch and golden brown color. Still very good and the best around!!! But feels like they would benefit from a bit more time in the fryer. Glad you're back, Clam Castle!!

Just be warned-- before you shell out MP, what you are getting. Pro Tip: whole bellies do NOT have a "neck" like steamers do and this was clear as day a steamer. Clam shack staff confirmed when I held it up to inquire why they are frying steamers that this was, in fact, a steamer. And as a side note, fried steamers are terrible. They did reimburse for two orders however, won't return if this is what the kitchen/owner tries to serve! I guess the "clam" castle has shifted focus to lobster sandwich boats. Lobster roll is bland. $30 for an experience that makes you crave biting into a lemon for flavor. My wife's fish was so dry and flavorless that you would think you are eating a fish sandwich in Arizona. Clam chowder is an insult to New England. It's soupy and not creamy. Only come here if you don't care about spending $$$ for food that genuinely makes you question your life choices. The atmosphere was nice. Service wasn't great but that was understandable given the dinner rush. Owner: i respect that you read feedback and respond. I wanted to love this place but was disappointed. Please include a lemon with your fish dishes. That little of a difference may change a lot of opinions about the food quality here. I'm only writing this because this was my first lobster roll in 2 years and I was heart broken.

It was cold and felt like a basement. There were wine and spirt bottles lined up on the window sill to give it that college frat house vibe. My wife had the salmon, and I had the filet. The salmon was hard and felt like it was under a warming lamp for a while. The bourbon honey dipping glaze helped to soften it a bit, but then you couldn't taste the salmon. My steak was overcooked and underseasoned. The sides were good and mashed potatoes had lumps! The chocolate mousse pie for dessert was straight from the Sysco box. I wish I could say the service was a bright spot, but I can't. The wait staff all looked like they'd prefer to be somewhere/anywhere else and were not at all attentive. Out wait person, Francisco was efficient, personable, attentive but not hovering over us. Ample parking. Entire restaurant is attractively decorated, nice color scheme and reflective of steakhouse focus. The one improvement _ crustier, warm bread instead of one slice of room temp bread.
