They seemed good for the first half of the 10 day contract, but stopped responding or communicating during the 2nd half of the contract. 2 of the 10 days were over a weekend where they closed the trap so nothing could get in, but still counted that towards my days. We had rats in my storage room in my basement, called a friend and she recommended critter control, without any research i set up an appointment with them. They come out three days later to asses the situation and found that we needed flashing around our a/c unit lines going into the house. The guy quoted us $700 to do the job so we agreed and paid UP FRONT . Scheduled for two days later another guy shows up and tells me that he sees that the front of our house on the THIRD floor has some soffit damage. I tell him ALL the rats have only EVER been seen in the basement storage room where the water heater and hvac are. I leave him be to do what the company was paid to do and he literally puts a $6 flashing on one piece of soffit and says that hes done (i don't know that he didn't do what they were paid to do). I find out also looking at the invoice that they said he put out SIXTEEN bait stations when there were only FIVE. I called and wanted a refund since we didn't recieve the service that we paid for. It gets approved a week later and three weeks later still no refund. I file a dispute with my bank and they lied to my bank and now im out of $700 and STILL have patches that need to be made to my home. This company is FULL of crooks and they will bleed you dry , steal your money, lie about their services as well as not honor their word. This is a warning as i don't usually leave reviews but i want to stop someone else from experiencing what my family did. This economy is TOO hard to have dishonest companies like this stealing money. We are very dissatisfied with the way they do business. Matt was a gentleman but the job went on unresolved and I could not get him to respond through texting to get him to finish the job. Months dragged on. They processed 50% of the contractural price and I was hoping that was all they would charge me despite contract BECAUSE of it being unfinished and bad ongoing lack of responding to me. Then, I texted one more time to ask Matt for someone to get back with me. He promised his boss would get in touch with me and never did. That's the last time I heard from him. That text: "Your boss never called me. My wife was in the hospital and her illness has taken my attention away from this matter. Now that I have time, I need to talk to your boss to resolve the issue of the job being neglected and forgotten. I am unsatisfied about what we did get for what we paid: $826.40 on 11/27. Fortunately, the painters we hired repaired the hole that you left. We paid your company a lot of money for one main visit and one brief return to be left through several times texting you to try and get a response on completing the job. The attic was never finished either. But, now I have noticed that your company billed me a second time on 12/13 for $827.40 more. Please send me your boss' direct number and let him know ASAP that I will call next Monday or Tuesday to talk with him about resolving this matter. At this point, I am just seeking some sort of refund and don't want to proceed with "finishing" the job. Just please thumbs up with his number and I'll call next week. Thanks." No response. I called their office and spoke with a nice young man, Joseph: I briefly told him the situation and asked to speak with someone in charge: He told me he would let Sam or Cameron know. Another month and no call. About two weeks later I called and got ahold of Cameron and asked if we could discuss my issue. He said that I was billed the second time because the job was completed. Sam had reviewed my request and denied it. I told Cameron how disappointed I was in the way they did business with me: job was never completed, Mat wouldn't respond to my texts promptly or at all, never spoke to me to confirm to me the job was completed satisfactorily, never responded to my customer dissatisfaction and wanting to talk to me about it, never has shown the least bit curtesy in trying to develop and maintain a good respectful client relationship. I canNOT recommend Critter Control. I should have done research on them first. For the sake of it, here's my text thread showing what kind of communication I had with Matt in the field. besides that and I talk with Joseph, I talked once with a disinterested Cameron and I never heard from Sam. I was civil the whole time until after Cameron asked, "It sounds like your issue was resolved, right?" Yes, I'm glad I don't have a raccoon in my attic now- no thanks to them. I'm thankful for the work someone else I hired to repair the hole Critter Control left. I'm not thankful for Critter Control's uncommunicable, uninterested and unwillingness to refund me a little of the tremendous amount of money they made on such a simple, easy, and unfinished job. My husband contacted this company about removing squirrels from our attic. They quoted us $2000 to seal all holes, remove the squirrels, and run 120 ftt of galvanized steel. We made payment in full and when the tech came out to do the work it was discovered that the metal was already in place and that they just needed to patch one hole and place a one way trap. When we asked about the price difference we were told " the price is what it is". When we escalated it we were told they would refund only $400. NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL. They are charging us $1600 to patch one hole and place a trap and not do the work that was quoted and paid for. UPDATE: We continued to escalate our issue until we reached a district manager by the name of Sam. He took the time to listen and ask questions, and offered a reasonable adjustment to our cost. Not only did he take care of our concerns but he offered to personally come out to our house to make sure that everything is taken care of and that we are satisfied and confident with using this company. About ten days after my yelp post, I sent a follow up email with photos of the work that I had expressed my dissatisfaction over. Shortly thereafter, Scott Holder, reached out to us and promised to come out and make the flashing and sealing over the critter holes in our cedar more presentable. Scott not only came out to assess the situation in person on a very rainy day, he was back exactly as promised the following week. He ended up redoing the entire job and it not only looks clean and professional, but it's hardly noticeable if you didn't know there was patchwork. Absolutely horrible & a total waste of money! If I could post a "minus stars" review I would! Each time a "field specialist" came to my home for a monthly service check I had to tell them what to do. After the last two check-ins, because the person never even announced themselves or ever come in to check my attic & the follow-up person they sent checked my attic but not my crawlspace even though I TOLD HIM THERE WERE RODENTS THERE THAT NEEDED TO BE CLEANED OUT HE NEVER EVEN CHECKED, I had to clean out the traps myself!! The business manager never acknowledged my call & never bothered to call back even after I sent pictures of the traps I had to clean out myself. They clearly just wanted the upfront money & didn't care about losing a customer with horrendous customer service...non-service really. read more

All about the money and the worst follow up service ever. I had complaints with my rental because Sean would just meander over at his leisure and started quizzing my cleaning person on how much my house cost and how he wanted to buy something like it. She said he never did anything but snoop around and zero work. I canceled through email but their email did not accept mail from an outside network. I hired terminex and told the technician directly not to come back to which he responded SMH. Rude, incompetent and scammers. They are trying to bill me for unauthorized services to technicians who failed to uphold their end of the services. Just keep looking and save yourself the headaches. Ok so I called Critter Control, had their agent give me a quote of $1250. Another company Truest wildlife actually did the work but had to keep coming back... squirrels would not leave, got a bill today... how about the bill has escalated to $1539; these scammers charged me $250 to remove the squirrel. Do the $1250 was to put a trap and $250 to remove. That's not what I was told. I'm a senior and had he told me they put traps and I remove, I wouldn't have hired them. read more
