I hired Breda for a moth treatment and the technician sprayed inside my walk‑in closet while it was full of clothing and inventory, including items lying on the floor. He then shut the closet door and told me not to enter for 10 minutes. Six hours later the closet still had a very strong chemical odor from 565 Plus XLO Formula 2, and when I raised concerns about safety and my belongings, I was given contradictory explanations (told it was "safe," but also told not to smell my clothes because I could get sick). I'm now dealing with a headache and uncertainty about contamination of a non‑washable vintage dress and other items I sell. Very disappointed with the lack of clear warnings and honest communication about risks. I had no write up about what was done, by who, how much chemical and which chemical was used until I called to complain where the guy kept saying I would need to wash my clothes either way (I had washed all my damn clothes before moving here) took forever. . He then said he could come spray febreze. . And then said he could do that only Monday and today is Friday. Not only all of that, but he tried to tell me the aerosol spray only sprays upwards and doesn't fall on the floor as if that is how spraying and gravity works. read more

Tyler Collins was assigned to do termite inspection on my house and Austin Drake was assigned to do quarterly pest control. It worked out so well. both technicians arrived at the same time (that is how I scheduled them) and both were very efficient in preforming their assigned task. Tyler pointed out a few "entry points" on the roof which I need to take care of because rodents can get it the house through there. I would not even know if not for him that I had an issue there. Austin sprayed the house in and out and even took a special broom to remove webs alongside my roof. Very efficient crew and knowledgeable. I had a few questions and they had all answers. Pretty sure this company has no idea what they are doing. Had a bug problem and they couldn't even identify the insect after three exterminators came. A simple google image search told me what they were. They put roach traps down for bugs that did not look like roaches. They never even looked/sprayed outside where the source of the bugs are coming from. Hired another company after and they said Breda spread poison powder all over the place where it's supposed to only be in cracks for safety (good thing we didn't touch the powder). The one nice thing they did was cancel my contract after I called. But they never even apologized or asked any questions. Some exterminators put the protective shoe coverings on when they arrived and some didn't and dragged dirt into the house. Go with someone else! read more

I have used Breda for 18 years. We just recently had an inspection to sell our home and the exterminator found seven large cockroach nests in our attic. I called Breda to come and and spray and clean up. they said they would spray but not clean up and told me to pay another company to do it. Normally I would be fine with that but clearly the technician had not actually been putting bait in the attic and when they came we did tell them we saw roaches. it is embarrassing for the home inspector to find this and it could case us to lose the sale. Breda either needs to vacuum the excrement or pay a company to clean it up. The manager said well they left bait in the attic but in 18 years I have never noticed them go to the attic. they also never remove any spiderwebs. I always had to go out and do it. I am truly disappointed that they won't make this right. read more

I already use Breda for insect control and may start mosquito protection also. i was impressed with the estimating technician Chris C for his knowledge and thorough assessment. no termites either ! thanks for your fine work Chris. He has a great sales personality, industrious can-do attitude and explained things well. I was also impressed with the quickness of Breda's response. I. will add that the previous firm, Active, sent a bill before any services had been rendered expecting prepayment. they should have waited for payment when service was done. Unfortunately, we went from a 5-star review family to a 2-star review family. They advertise that only the sun outshines their service, and that may be the case for their technicians, but their customer service representatives did not get that memo. I think my biggest disappointment is that I truly do love their pest control service, but having to sift through condescending conversations with scheduling, errors, questions and confusing marketing mailings leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I've enjoyed being a Breda customer for mosquito control for years. I appreciate Breda has kept prices steady. I like that it's a family owned and operated company. The one time I called the service manager to request Breda not spray my yard on days when there was a very high, well known chance of rain, the service manager was rude and dismissive. On another occasion I left a message with Brenda's answering service, requesting a quote to remove a very large wasp nest. Breda never called me back. I think the Breda family has a good work ethic and vision, but is encountering problems maintaining that level of service as their business grows. I'm still a customer and recommend Breda. As a rule I don't like leaving review, but the service is so bad I feel I should at least say something. After having a difficult time with our previous pest control company, a friend suggested I try Breda because they have been with them for years and had such a wonderful experience. They are a little more expensive but I thought I would give them a chance. After speaking with the sales rep I was excited to get started. Unfortunately, what I was promised and what I got were two different things. I am very disappointed on all fronts. Our home has been sprayed for mosquitos four times now and we still can't go outside without getting bit. The indoor service is not better, I have seen more bugs then I did with our previous pest control company. Only two nights ago, a spider crawled across the table while we were seated for dinner. This is unacceptable. Of all the services we have I would have to say the critter control is the worse. It is very difficult to get anyone to come out and when they do finally come out all I hear are excuses such as, "we just need to wait to see if the granulates are working." They can't even agree as to what kind of critter it is. In the meantime I have lost 5 plants, that will cost a small fortune to replace, to what I assume are voles and/or moles. So far they have been out twice and I am currently waiting for them to return because the granulates are still not working. Each time that I have called them out for these extra service calls I end up waiting another month and we lose more plants. Where does it end? I am tired of waiting. All I can say is buyer beware. read more

My husband and I didn't have a great experience with our previous extermination company so when our contract was over I called Breda. My coworker recommended them and they had almost 5 star reviews on TrustDale.com. I got an appointment right away and every time I spoke to one of the ladies over the phone (Brandy, Madison and Kelly) they answered right away and were so nice. The quote was reasonably priced and I knew it was accurate because it was the same amount my coworker paid for her service and our homes have the same amount of bedrooms and bathrooms. My rep Shane Hensley was thorough and took the time to educate me on what he was going to do and why. He wasn't judgmental and very easy to talk to. He asked me if I wanted to come outside to see how he treated the perimeter of our home. I'm looking forward to our next service visit in October! Wow, what a team to help us solve our flying squirrel issues but in doing so, also made ouur home warmer! We had a flying squirrel problem once this year and figured that with colder weather it will become a reoccurring issue s called Breda for an inspection, recommendation, and estimate. As it turns out, the Atlanta building codes are loose at best and we had MULTIPLE areas open to all sorts of creatures. Rick Edmondson gave us a non-hustle review and firm estimate which we decided, immediately, to tAke advantage of. We were blessed to have two great installers, gentleman named Lil Mike and 343-Scotty. Both kept us informed of the progress and gave us a heads up on our need for additional gutter clips. And, just a minute ago, Kelley, for QC called to make sure we were satisfied filed with the work done yesterday. Scotty and Mike told us we could expect a warmer home as a side benefit and they were right. Normally we keep our night time temperature at 67 but now we need to lower it to 65! Our home feels 'tight' now and we love the work the Breda team did. Heads-up, our neighbor had the same issue we had, had another pest company complete their work wIth 6 installers who had to come back to their home 3 times! Go Breda! read more

We had guests suddenly coming in for the holiday weekend and needed help.
