My impression of the beers (always a subjective matter, of course) went down something like this: 1400 Miles From Home - a Key Lime Sour. Very light sour, to my liking, with all of the flavors in the description working together quite nicely Kolsch - another light version of this style. It is a good summer beer for someone who wants a little more flavor than a Bud/Coors/Miller Ohio Heat Wave - subtle habanero on the back end slowly builds, but that's about the only thing I'm picking up. This is a very light beer Hang 11 - a sweet IPA? The bitterness is as advertised. Would love to know the hops involved. Very drinkable, but don't expect a mouthful of IPA. More like a sweet, session IPA in my opinion Shooktown NE IPA - first taste hit very nice. Like most of them, it tastes very close to the description. Whether it's cold outside and you can cozy up inside of the incredible rustic yet architecturally rich environment and take in some bluegrass or roam outside among the sprawling areas, you're gonna be comfortable and enchanted. I've never tried a beer here that wasn't top notch. My hubby, who is an IPA enthusiast, was crazy over many of the IPAs, while I loved seeing a perfectly done Kolch on the menu, in addition to a great Pils and some darker favorites too. There is a modest yet deeply satisfying menu that includes a homemade pretzel shaped like the logo of the brewery along with pierogis and many burgers. If you sit outside it will be hard to resist the sandwiches which you can smell and watch cooking. The location is very convenient to Pymatuning State Park, especially the Jamestown facilities or Ohio/Andover facilities. It's a short and direct drive over to I-79 so this is a very accessible place if you're traveling from or between Erie and Pittsburgh. While I've not tried the adjoining winery yet it will be part of the itinerary next time, as it was equally inviting! I cannot wait to return. Highly recommend!
