To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to formally bring to your attention an incident that occurred during my visit to your market on June 28, 2026. My husband and I enjoy supporting small, local markets and farms; especially those that remind us of home and our military roots, so it is extremely disappointing to share that our experience today left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. While selecting ears of corn, I picked up several that were already opened and set aside. I examined them only to understand why they had been separated. From across the aisle, an employee called out, "Ma'am, you can't open our corn here." I responded politely that I understood. She then approached me and asked, "Did you open all of these?" Her tone was accusatory, and the question itself was inappropriate. I clarified that the ears were already open when I picked them up. Instead of accepting my explanation, she continued lecturing me--repeating the same point multiple times despite my acknowledgment. She also stated that your corn is "fresh, just picked," which was factually incorrect given that the ears I was holding were ice cold. "Fresh, just picked" corn would be warm to the touch, as though it went directly from farm to stand. I mentioned that the opened ears had earworm. She replied that "there is nothing wrong with corn that has a worm; you just cut it off," and continued repeating the same reprimand I had already acknowledged multiple times. Despite my calm responses, the employee continued pressing the issue to the point that my husband stepped in, saying, "Okay, that is enough." The employee then told us, "Maybe you should go to Walmart to buy your corn." This comment was inappropriate, unprofessional, and entirely unnecessary. At that point, we decided to purchase the four ears already in our bag, inform the cashier of our experience, and leave; spending only $5.00 versus our normal $60-$80 we spend each time we visit. Unfortunately, this interaction has led us to decide not to return to your market, which is genuinely disappointing. We value local businesses and the sense of community they provide, but the treatment we received did not reflect the welcoming environment we expected--or the positive experiences we have had over the past six years as regular customers. We drive from Yorktown specifically to buy your fruits and vegetables, but we will not drive to Sandbridge to be chastised and publicly ridiculed for something I did not do, and even if I had, I acknowledged your policy immediately upon being told. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it will be used constructively. Customer service matters, and interactions like this can significantly impact how patrons perceive and support a business. I trust you will address this issue to ensure future customers are treated with respect and professionalism.

From Chesapeake it was about a 25 minute drive out to this farm in Pungo. We went early, around 12 , on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted to be the rain. You have to purchase and choose available pick times online. You can arrive anytime but can't do the u-pick until your designated slot time. We arrived and there was plenty of parking. We looked around the market first. It wasn't huge but they had a great variety of different jams, jellies, salsa, baked goods and fresh fruit and veggies. Everything was reasonably priced! We went directly outside the market to a little table to check in for blueberry picking! There young lady was polite . She scanned our qr code and gave us arm bands. She did let us know that there were a couple blackberry bushes out there as well that we could pick also. It isn't advertised because they're aren't a lot of plants. A short walk to the entrance to the patch and there picking began!! It was nice because there weren't a lot of people out so the rows weren't crowded. The bushes still had lots of ripe fruit on them! We picked for about 20 minutes, Paid 8 dollars for our pint and went to the car to take a much needed cool off break. We were told that we could walk or drive over to the orchard. It wasn't a long walk, but in the heat, and if you're carrying a box of peaches, it could be a bit much. We drove over to the orchard, parked and checked in at a little shed nearby. we picked peaches for about twenty minutes and even noticed that there were a couple nectarine trees as well. the peaches were not ripe.However, that did not deter us from picking. A simple trip home and storing them in a brown paper bag would ripen them up perfectly in about three days! We paid 20 for a half peck box. It filled up very quickly. Overall great experience!! We are going back to try the ice cream and to pick apples during that season!

My friends and I purchased tickets an ahead of time online and we did have to ask where to go for peach picking once we got there. The fruit fields were gorgeous and kept so nice. At the peach fields we were given a 1/2 peck baskets to pick and then purchase. After picking we paid at the booth, we checked out the farm stand where they sell fresh homemade ice cream. The ice cream flavors rotate. Flavors I noticed were sweet corn and Ube. This is a great place to bring family for fun activities.

I have been involved with New Earth since construction. The market sells produce, eggs, meat, vegetables, bread, flowers and more to the public. Everything available will be harvested from New Earth. Items will be sourced to their their three restaurants, Commune and Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry. The educational component such as Farm Table has been ramped up with the installation of a new kitchen. Cooking classes can be scheduled at www.newearthfarm.organd are for all ages and groups welcome. Other educational items that can be booked through their website are Farm Lab & Food Lab. I attended one of the workshops given here on tinctures and teas and such a few weeks ago with…read moreanother health conscious friend. We learned some cool new tricks and met some new people at the workshop. I was impressed with the little building where the training happened - it was a cold day after a snow and it was warm and toasty inside. I had no idea this farm was nearby (I live just down Nimmo) and spoke to the Training Director who informed me that they have tons of workshops on canning, vinegars, foraging and other things during the warmer months as well as an active farmer's market area where they sell lots of goods grown on their farm. I'll have to add this into my rotation for fresh veggies and new training!

This seemed to be the friendliest farm for us to go to with our dog! We went to another farm down…read morethe street and were greeted very rudely about our dog while still in the parking lot. Before we let him out of the car, my husband walked up to the stand and asked if our dog could be outside and they were very happy to have him outside of the lanes of the strawberry patch (understandable, he's a dog after all). The strawberries were abundant, big, and juicy! We easily filled up our bucket in minutes. We will 100% be back here next year instead of some of the biggest farms in the area.

You can pick or you can just pick up produce that they picked. They have everything but I must say that he has a lot of varieties of corn too. They are so amazingly delicious that I have stood right there with the farmer and eaten it raw right off the cob. It is that good They are family owned and just amazing good food. They have cantaloupe, watermelon, heirloom tomatoes, local honey, different sauces, other fruits and veggies, and also plants. I got heirloom tomatos that are pretty good with nice flavor. The uglier the tomato the better they seem to be. Lol. Idk I'm not the tomato whisperer!! They weren't weird and soft or anything like that. The prices are reasonable and I enjoy seeing what they have. The young man who works there is always nice when he checks me out. They're located off of Harpers Rd on the side of the street. You can't miss them. Check them out!!
