With the help of a family member I found out about Crone's Hollow. I was looking for a unique and very specific type item and she thought they might have it. Not only did I find some items I was looking for; I found many other items. The store is pretty small. Holds a psychic reading along with its items for purchase. If you're looking for witchcraft type things, mythology vibes, books or even cool wands, crystals etc this is your place. Service was wonderful and made us laugh many times. Prices were fair. Some more than I'd like to pay, but very nice statues etc that deserve the heftier price tag. read more

Come here today with my daughter (we have been here so many times in the past) and we just had the best experience ever. Chris was working the front and he was so helpful! In the past when i have came with my daughter (who is 12 so she isn't a small child touching and making messes of things) she has quit a bit of questions because she is very interested in these places in the past have been met with annoyance or snotty attitudes. Chris was just simply amazing! He seemed almost excited to encourage and explain what certain things did and what they where used for. I mostly come for their brand of incense. I prefer buying from places that make their own, rather than huge companies. The staff always have good recommendations, and indulge me when I don't know what I want. "Crone's Hollow" signature scent, "Green man", and "Grimoire" are all excellent I went out on a limb once and bought "Fairy Fart's" for the name. Can't say I recommend that one. Well, heck, Tamara G., you beat me to it. I was so sure I would be FIRST on this one. A new store, and meeting space with classes, which opened up a week ago. This is a really fun place to check out incense, herbs, rocks, candles, aromatherapy supplies (essential oils), books, hand made jewelry, and some cool clothing. It has a cozy vibe and friendly people. But its not just a cool little store, its a place to hang out, gather and attend classes. The adjacent lounge is comfy and homey and if you are lucky, there's sometimes a guy there that plays keyboards that is fantastic. If you are curious about all things pagan, witchy, druid and are interested in ritual, tarot, and the world of all things magickal and perhaps the unexplainable, this is the place to start. I've come to Crone's Hollow a handful of times over the years. Their crystals and rocks have the best energy. This place has an all around good vibe. Had my first reading here with Goat and it was unique in that she wasn't trying to hustle or further scare me by getting me to come back right away. It was like an intuitive therapy session. She called me on my bs but in a sincere nice way. Which I loved. There are far too many charlatans and places w weird vibes in their products. Crone's is a gem for the community. read more

As someone who has been to many metaphysical shops, this store is extremely overpriced as well as having crystals misidentified. First time customer, been wanting to visit for a long time. While shopping, I had to go to the bathroom.Asked the dark haired gentleman wearing glasses at the register where the restrooms were. I was really surprised at his very rude and snappy response...WE don't have a bathroom! I explained I REALLY needed to go and he said...answer is still the same - no bathroom!. (Where do the employees go)? I just try to use kindness as a rule in my life and this guy was really inconsiderate and RUDE! Too bad... I was going to shop hard! It IS a cute little shop and SLC has needed a place like this for a long time-- if you are into that New Age stuff or Wiccan then this is definitely a must-visit place. Stepping through the door transports you into another world. A shop full of everything wonderfully Wiccan and metaphysical, loose stones, jewelry, rings, candles, and two ladies who will give you all the help you need. The store leads into a large coffee shop with chairs my kids settled into so mommy could peruse the tables in peace. There was an area for readings, and then a doorway which led into a large room for, I assume, gatherings and rituals? It was a huge place that felt sacred and safe. I purchased some stones, a couple of necklaces, a ring, and a few other items I've been looking for. When I return to Utah I will definitely be back. read more

I love the energy of this place. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. They also have me free crystals with my purchase.

I absolutely love the way I feel when I enter this store and they are so helpful when I have questions.

I just wanted to comment about some of the low ratings on this store, by saying those people may have been having an 'off' day if they felt they weren't taken care of properly by the staff. If someone felt they were ignored, it's quite possible the store was full and maybe they didn't get served as quickly as they felt they should have .... but I know from experience, that every person who walks through those doors - stranger or no - gets a warm welcome from the staff, regardless of who they're helping at that moment. As one who does not practice craft, I have never felt anything but warmth and welcome when I've walked through those doors and I have NEVER observed staff being rude to customers. One of the nice things about this place is that it sells items to everyone which makes it a very amicable environment - your curiosity is always satisfied, where your questions are answered thoroughly and honestly. AND it always smells good too!! I agree some items are on the expensive side, but good quality doesn't come cheap. Regardless of where you shop, if you want something bad enough, price is not an issue. And yes, they also sell out of items quickly but they are always willing to special order an item for you or let you know when the new stock will be available. So rather than judge a visit to this location by those who are unhappy, you should come for yourself and see what there is to offer. read more

Unfriendly and misinformed staff member lectured my friend and I on how the Futhark is "magical alphabet soup" and directed us to use the appropriated Wiccan Witches Runes instead saying that "Most traditional witches use these" and seemingly ignoring that the Futhark are centuries older than Wicca as a whole. Laughed about the Futhark and people using them for reading as well as people using them to write spells and said "I'm not Nordic, so..." as a preface to the discussion. As both a man of Nordic descent and a Lokean, I'm honestly extremely offended and will not be returning to this place again. read more

A nice little shop. Lots of new age and wiccian stuff. The incense material on the back wall was a nice touch. They also have a large room in the back, I assume it is for meetings, but I'm not positive. And I would hate to pretend to confirm something for which I was not positive. Overall, I liked the shop. I agree with one of the other reviewers, The energy in this place just didnt work for me. I have no idea what it is about this particular place. I have been there a few times. Its easy enough to find, its on a main road, Yet I get lost almost every time I tried to go. And then, the cute little shop itself, just didnt feel right. I bought a few Items and later had to remove them from my house because they were giving me too much trouble. I dont know of anyone else, save for the other reviewer, who had similar things to say. Not being a member of the metaphysical community I went to Crones Hollow to get some idea of it for myself. My experience wasn't welcoming at all. The woman behind the counter wasn't helpful in answering any of my questions. Every time I asked a question her reaction was that I was burdening her for asking and that I was an idiot for not all ready knowing the informaion. I originally was intending to buy something but decided to take my business somewhere else because of the horrible customer service provided. read more

I went to a ritual there yesterday, and I was hugely impressed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the variety of merchandise, the HUGE ritual room and the uber-comfy lounge with the wi-fi and coffee on the honor system. It's a whole new, cozy universe in Crone's Hollow. I like their selection of colorful candles, jewelry, tea, beautiful journals, and I have enjoyed interesting classes like 'The Origins of Halloween' in which you are encouraged to bring a pumpkin to carve while you listen. read more

I've been to Crone's Hollow at least 20 times because of classes, workshops, festivals, circles, and just general shopping. I've never walked out with an amazing experience. First off, the help (I use the term loosely) is very poor. The sales associates talk among themselves and can't be bothered to help you. Not only are they a little rusty on identify the crystals they are selling, I've found they are completely apathetic in helping you find the right herb, book, or piece of jewelry. They just act like it's a chore to help. I can see their attitude being somewhat justified if I was a teenager who was just there to look and ask questions, but I am a seasoned witch who was prepared to spend a lot of hard earned money there. One woman in particular is very rude, she is older with short, white hair. Maybe this is the Crone owner of Crone's Hollow but she is VERY rude. I was trying to buy some oils from her but she acted like she was off in her own little world and ignored everything I was saying while she filled my bottles. A coven sister of mine had a similar experience with this lady's rudeness. They sell oils but they are ridiculously overprice compared to other retailers. Their stock is stale, and they seldom receive newer items. I've seen the exact same set up and products for sale, for the most part, since they opened. As mentioned by another reviewer there is a VERY weird energy about this place. Most people who I've talked to that has gone to this store agree. On a brighter note, they have convenient parking and hours. I like how they are open on Sunday and late at night. For a witchy store this is necessary because nocturnal hours and Sunday's are excellent times for pagans to shop.They also have amazing spaces for circles and private readings. For awhile, it seemed that there was frequently a smoker (or a pack of smokers) that would sit by the southeast corner of the building. This was bothersome because customers would have to walk by a smog of smoke just to get in and out of the building. Recently the management has moved the smokers to other side of the building, which I appreciate. Crone's Hollow is an Okay shop to go to but by no means is it the Wicca Mecca that everyone makes it out to be. The energy is bizarre, perhaps a deep smudging is in order.
