Had a wonderful experience with this plumbing company. Eddie was responsive, we spoke on the phone, and I sent him photos of what needed to be done. He gave me a rough estimate that was better than another company that was recommended to me. I didn't get to meet Eddie, but his guy Gus was great, ontime and even early. We had an emergency one morning with a broken pipe. This was our first experience with Eddie and his team. They showed up immediately, located and fixed the pipe and it was a very reasonable charge. Since then, we have used them to do several much larger jobs. They replaced a furnace/water heater with a tankless system. They replaced a pump in another old, old furnace. They got a thermostat working that has never worked before. We have been very happy with their service and prices. Eddie is friendly and easy to work with. Great guy fixed our shower leak, and draining sink issues replaced whole fixture and declogged it dealt with unusual plumbing that was in place reversed hoses and other stuff. Also very nice and accommodating with a nice sense of humor. Experienced plumber which quickly knows what tools and products he needed to not waste time, and quickly solve the problem. Eddie is the best in the biz! Had a leak in the basement ceiling under my bathtub so I feared the worst. Eddie came out the first time for no charge and assured me it was not what I feared but said he'd come back if the leak came back. Then when the leak returned he and his team came out after the biggest snow storm we've had in years and found the culprit was bad sealing next to the tub. Building hired Eddie for a job to replace several water heaters and redo some venting and he was great. It was a nice big job and he got paid and his guys did a good job...everyone's happy. I call him back a couple of months later to come turn on a furnace in the same building. Eddie was all friendly and says no problem, I'll be on it. But nada, 1 week, i made a call almost each day to find out if he got to it yet and he said he would. enough was enough, i straight up said why you give me the run around when you can't commit. he then made an excuse i get 40-50 calls and it's 70 degree (when i was sub 60), blah blah. Ok, i get it, it was a small job and i might be sensitive, but not once did Eddie call back to say he can't make it. Each time it was me following up and each time he tried to play nice guy by saying he was on it, when he knew he didn't have the time. Long story short...returned my phone call, showed up in less than an hour, diagnosed the issue and fixed it same day...could not ask for more. I called multiple plumbers in the area and only one returned my phone call, that was Eddie of Recommended Plumbing. I called to have a leaking toilet fixed due to an improper install and repair from another plumber. Since I was at work, he sent me a video explaining what the issue was, which gave me comfort. I explained to him what the job involved and he scheduled an appointment to see what the details were. Eddie quoted me a reasonable price and stated he was going to do the job first thing Monday morning. Eddie showed up at my house Monday morning as stated and before I knew it the job was completed. In total Eddie installed a thermostat, corrected the wiring for my two zone boiler and made sure that everything was working properly for the cold winter. As a homeowner, I put the feelers out through my usual channels for a plumber and just happened to find Recommended Plumbing on yelp while searching. Initially, Eddie and I had a quick conversation and I wasn't even sure I was going to use him. I'm sure glad that I did. No regrets here! After whittling down my list of plumbers, I realized that all charged between $150-$200 just to come out and assess the issue. I wasn't above paying a service charge but these guys were charging the equivalent of one hour of labor. I understand that the money goes towards the cost of the job but that all but GUARANTEES that I go with that particular plumber! Not Eddie. His service charge was very reasonable and yeah, I was going to have him do the job anyway. Being practical about the service charge was one of THE main reasons he won my business. Now on to his expertise: bottom line, this guy knows his stuff! He took one look at the issue and told me what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost, all-in. When he and his partner, Patrick finished up, he even gave me a bit of a break on the balance due because I was paying in cash. Very happy with this plumbing company! My boyfriend accidentally drilled into a pipe while hanging something on the bathroom wall - hot water shooting everywhere...Luckily, I was able to turn off the hot water heater and stop the flow. I recently called Recommended Plumbing for a job that required a great deal of flexibility. And he nailed it. I left a message, he returned the call quickly. I needed to replace a water heater in a condo, and he asked all the right questions that made me confident that he knew what he was doing. He quoted me a good price, and he was able to take credit card payment via email authorization. There was a glitch with the payment at my end because it looked like it could have been fraud, but we were able to work it out quickly, and Eddie's team came through beautifully. The job also required a bit of finesse, because they had to work around the schedule of a washer/dryer delivery. Ed Gunther and crew did a great job installing my new water-heater, clean and professional, reasonably priced job. The only problem is that after a couple weeks, have no hot water pressure which may have nothing to do with the installation which I believe was properly executed. The problem is the same as Michael C's review that despite numerous calls by myself and my brother, Ed never shows up and I still have no hot water. I recently used Recommended Plumbing because my water heater no longer was producing hot water. I called Ed the owner and he was very responsive. We scheduled an appointment and he arrived in a very timely manner. He accessed the water heater and informed me we would have to purchase a new one. Him and his team arrived and installed the new water heater very quickly (within a couple of hours) and it is working very efficiently.
