The Crosby is an amazing place to call home. From the stellar views of downtown to the beautiful pool, The Crosby has it all. You can walk to everything Deep Ellum has to offer! Also, the staff here is incredible and always helpful. I enjoy going by the leasing office and saying hi. As far as the actual apartment goes, I love how clean the property always is. I frequently use the community working space and enjoy that it's always well kept. The management company does a good job keeping things maintained. For example, I had to submit a service request and it was answered within the day. If you're thinking of living at The Crosby, just do it! You won't regret it. read more

I've lived here for a few years, and unfortunately the quality of this community has noticeably declined over the last three years. Common areas are no longer kept as clean as they once were, community rules are inconsistently enforced, and pet waste has become a persistent issue throughout the property. Maintenance has also been a major frustration--requests are often delayed or left incomplete, which was never a problem in the past. The location is truly the best part of living here, and that's the main reason I've stayed. However, the level of service and upkeep no longer matches what residents are paying for. I hope management takes resident concerns seriously and works to restore the standards this property used to have. read more

It's sort of mind boggling to get in here to leave my review and to see that ALOOOTTT of people feel the same way....... Assistant manager, America, you wanted my review so bad here it is!!! Almost all the negative reviews old or new are alll pretty much accurate. The trash issues, the car thefts, the ISSUES WITH MANAGEMENT AND OFFICE TEAM BEING, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND NOT CARING TO MUCH ABOUT SOMEONES LIFE AND LIVING SITUATIONS. So I won't go into to it too much. The trash issues never taken care of or cleaned up. The back of the apartments facing public storage is a dirty disgusting unsafe part of the complex. They don't let you register multiple cars, without charging, so our car was ransacked last night and we haven't been here two months. Allegedly there is "security guard" that is here.... Never see them but on the 4th of July weekend. And when I do see the women she's in her car the ENTIRE night basically because she's there when I leave for work at 10 p and there at 4 am when I return. So NO, NO REAL SECURITY. My resident friends and I have a all spoken about the pet amenities never working or always being out of stock.. so if you have pets, no, All of the picture, "images" you see are from when they opened 6 years ago. So no the pool, and pretty much nothing looks like the pictures do. The hallways on the higher floors are not taken care of or "cleaned" like the staff said they would be. Often times by Sunday evening Monday morning the halls smell like trash because my unit is close to a trash shoot and of course during high traffic trash days there is no valet. I need to be very clear. I LOVE MY APARTMENT AND THE MAINTENANCE STAFF THAT ACTUALLY TAKE CARE OF US. THEY ARE GREAT!! Especially considering what they walk into every Monday. More power to them. The office staff.... Meh I'm not sure. Lots of bad tastes left on our mouth and they know why. No security as promised, constant towing of your registered vehicles from the resident garage that's always broken, homeless camps outside, homeless people entering the building through broken entries or lack of resident care. where do I start? when I signed my lease I was told there is security on the property. There was never security on property untik months later when I had to demand the manager get ahold of me because I had homeless people roaming the hallways, stealing my trash can and attempting to burn down the building. yes i have a case number with dallas police after my girlfriend attempted to notify the staff about this person attempting to get in the building and they did nothing about it. let's talk about how they had my vehicles towed when i payed to park in the garage. the manager did apologize and gave me a credit for their mistake. but back on the garage. the doors are always broken and anybody can just get in. Personally haven't had a negative experience. When selecting the Crosby I was immediately drawn to the graffiti when you walk into the building along with the shared work space. I like that it's a bit of a distance from Main Street. You can enjoy the local businesses and activities without the noise disrupting. The POOL, honestly hands down the best in the area. I did not appreciate the customer service the leasing team lied and very unprofessional.

From the moment I found The Crosby online, I knew it would be the perfect place to call home even before I could tour the property since it was under construction. I even pushed my move in date multiple times to make sure I got the THE perfect location, because my balcony views are EVERYTHING. Like most people who have reviewed the property I have to agree that the staff is the absolute best, both Taylors are ahhhhmazing (thank you for all you do). Things I love: Location, location, location (so close to all the bars /restaurants and super easy access to the highway). It's a beautiful property. Great amenities* especially our gym, Peloton bike FTW! Staff - from leasing to maintenance everyone is super friendly. 24hr market is SO convenient to have. Things that could be better: Coffee bars: The one in the lobby is out of most refill packets- i made a latte ONCE when i first moved in - has been out since. The one in the clubhouse 80% of the time (especially in the morning) cant be used because it's full or needs to be rinsed. TVs DO NOT work ( want to watch a Sunday game, you're out of luck unless you do it at home), not in the clubhouse, not in the pool. I've seen them on in the gym a couple of times. Courtyard Movie Screen: we have yet to have a showing, around Sept they had said an email will be sent out with options to see what residents wanted to see, have yet to receive that email. Fridge in the lobby used to have beer/water at the beginning ...now its always. Other than the pool party there has been no resident events. Water pressure is non existent and there's noises coming out of the walls by the washer/dryer I really want to give it a 5 star review because it a beautiful property and I like living here but c'mon a girl needs her coffee early in the AM. read more

I was staying at a friend's apartment when I decided to call down to the leasing office to see a vacant unit. They were accommodating and showed me a similar unit. I was on the verge of applying when the property manager said I would get $100 off the admin fee if I applied right now. I did and noticed I was charged the full amount. Don't be fooled by the pretty façade - the management at this property is absolutely abysmal. They only get one star because we got lucky with our particular unit, have a great view, can conveniently walk to some of our favorite bars and restaurants, and because you have to put at least one star to write a review. We've been living here since September 2020. We have also referred friends to become tenants here. In August of 2021, we purchased a separate storage unit within the property to store items after a large amount of mold was discovered in our unit as a result of the unit above us not reporting a leak. I won't even go into how shoddy the repair job for this issue was. The storage unit was spacious but had a large gap in the door, making our items visible to people walking by. We did not see this as alarming at the time, as the apartment generally appears secure (video calling to allow guests, door fobs on multiple doors throughout the complex) and we are on the 3rd floor. Over the past two weeks, our unit was burglarized twice. After reporting the first burglary, the apartment advised they would install a bracket to further protect the items remaining in the unit. They did not install this bracket until a week later, during which time the unit was burglarized again, this time with a loss of a significantly larger amount of items. The front office has since gone mute and will not return phone calls or emails regarding this issue. They have made no attempt to notify other tenants with storage units. We walked each floor of the property and noticed multiple storage units with evidence of attempted (or potentially successful) break ins. We have been going door to door asking if people might have Ring doorbell camera footage, as some of these items were not just expensive, but sentimental in value. To us, it seems apparent that whoever is burglarizing these units lives on property and could be located if the management was willing to do their due diligence. Furthermore, the apartment has NO indoor cameras, only outside ones. They have also not reviewed the outside cameras to see if someone left carrying our belongings. However, they have plenty of their budget allocated to host happy hours and seem to spend a great deal of their time promoting how great this sketchy complex is on social media. Reading other reviews infuriates me even more because this seems to have been an ongoing problem. I don't care about making friends at my apartment, I care about myself and my belongings being secure, especially considering how much we pay in rent. It's absurd to me that "luxury" living does not include camera surveillance, not even in the elevators! What if someone was assaulted or worse? Would they continue to write off things the same way? If I was putting money on it, I'd bet yes. When we alerted police they advised that this is a frequent occurrence at this particular property, which is especially shocking when you consider that we are directly across the street from the police precinct. Just a whole load of garbage. Don't lease here. End of story. To management: for the love of god do not reply to this review with an excuse like "crime has no address". It clearly does, and that address is 400 S Hall St. Stop pretending to be concerned, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. read more

Management is a joke, the resident concerns are at the bottom level, your car will be broken into even in the garage, doors are broken constantly so be prepared to have the homeless roam the hallways. Now that's it's been a few months, I am ready to review! Moved in at the end of the summer so I did not get to enjoy the pool season: really looking forward to that in just a few months! Honestly one of the best pools in downtown. The amenities are top notch! Loved this place for the awesome co-share workspace, then was impressed by the rooftop sky lounge, gym, and the split courtyards. We've had friends and family over numerous times where we could light up the gas grills and fire pits, play cornhole, and have a great time! The apartments themselves are wonderful, thoughtfully designed, and spacious. Our leasing agent Taylor Parker was outstanding (and extremely patient) as we carefully and meticulously chose our apartment. He showed us every floorplan we desired to see and we are so happy he led us to our sanctuary home! No safety issues, very secure, and easy to come and go (parking, access, etc.). Highly recommend living here...no regrets in making our decision to move into the Crosby! read more

If someone asked me what the gold standard for someone in her industry looked like, I'd point them in Taylor's direction, she actually leased an apartment to me at another property over a year ago! On top of The Crosby being an amazing property, full of amenities and a great staff, in an amazing location... one of the main factors determining where I headed next was Taylor! She's thorough when it comes to walking you through what you're getting for your money, asking you about your lifestyle to determine what parts of the neighborhood would serve you best and ultimately she's committed to making sure you find the best home to suit your needs. Taylor has made sure both of my experiences in both of my apartments have been nothing less than perfect, and I can't forget to mention the time she helped me carry my TV to my place! The Crosby has a ton of great amenities and the residents actually use them, which gives the property a really cool vibe. The staff really cares about the cleanliness and safety of the property, which is huge for me and you can't beat the location. Going into my second year here at the Crosby and have enjoyed my stay here and still do! The Pros: The staff , the front office "leasing" have been nothing short of amazing my whole stay! Taylor's my man" and everyone else have treated me well and made me feel at home! Communication: they are quick and responsive to any concern or complaint and I've always received a prompt reply from them on any issue! The repair and maintenance staff are great!! Maintenance: ALWAYS prompt and efficient in repairing anything I have an issue with! The building and common areas are always clean and in good order, clean hallways , constantly vacuumed and kept tidy "in spite of the inconsiderate tenants who throw their trash in bagged outside their door to be picked up or empty cardboard boxes that are supposed to be placed in trash room for recycling by the tenant! Love my apartment! DO NOT LEASE HERE. Do not be fooled by the "luxury" amenities. It's in downtown Dallas so you expect to see a very large homeless population in the area if you're knowing of the city, which is a safety hazard in itself. I have seen strung out homeless people roaming the halls at 2am, because they easily got into the building (the doors/locks are broken A LOT) and they have gone door to door knocking waiting for someone to open. I have also seen them hop balconies on the 1st floor units attempting to get into units through the patio door and ruffle through trash. Do not be fooled by how high the first floor patios are and that no one can hop that. They absolutely will. There is also TONS of break ins of cars on this property. I mean windows smashed, things stolen and etc. I don't care how many cameras are around the property or how close the central police station is, this property is NOT safe and it does not take long to find that out. The power goes out constantly and I mean constantly. The smoke detectors will randomly go off for HOURS at a time. I mean it has been so bad, people will literally disconnect their smoke detectors to stop the noise. The valet trash doesn't pick up until pushing 11pm at times, or sometimes they don't come at all, and you better bring that trash bin back in before the office opens in the morning otherwise they will call you and stack you with a fine for having your bin outside. The property is dirty, a lot. Inside and outside. The dog parks are almost always filled with dog poop because nobody picks up after their pets, even with the "threats" from management for fines. I mean FILLED with dog poop. Like, you almost will not want to go inside. My dog has literally stepped in other's dogs poop and I have had to disinfect and wash her feet before coming back into the house. The halls will have a foul odor (smoke, food and so many other things) and the floors will be disgusting. I have seen the same stains (including pet mess residue) for months at a time. I have seen the cleaning service half-assedly mop the floors with the dirtiest mop water (I mean it's brown) AND there will be stains/residue still left on the floor even after that. It smells like dirty mop water more often than not. All of these might seem feasible to you but the price you pay for this? Not worth it. I paid almost $2K per month. There is BETTER AND CHEAPER, even in this economy. FIND IT. I promise you deserve better. Do not settle. read more

Living at the Crosby has been an amazing experience. It was definitely the best place to live during COVID times. The people and amenities are awesome and brand new. Additionally, the staff are friendly and so helpful--they always make sure residents are a priority. Don't move here if you're looking for community, the office staff is rude and unaccommodating. They are not here to provide community, though they do pretend to be nice before you move in. After you move out, they will fabricate issues with the apartment in order to not return your deposit and then charge you above and beyond that, squeezing every last dollar from you they can. The apartment itself was nice, if cheaply and poorly constructed. I was the first resident to move into my apartment, so I know a lot of the flaws were shoddy workmanship and not a previous resident. I would not recommend living on the top floor as you can hear all the freeways/highways that are tangled right behind the building. The residential areas were nice, I liked the Sky Deck and coworking spaces, although they were constantly blasting bad music in both, which was particularly unhelpful when I tried to take meetings when working from home, rendering the coworking space functionally useless. The building is on the very edge of Deep Ellum, several blocks farther than similar but nicer apartment buildings in the neighborhood, which made it feel unsafe to walk alone at night. All that said, the maintenance staff are incredibly kind and helpful, Hector and Eduardo in particular. read more

As a Crosby resident (going on 2 months now), I feel I know this place well enough to leave an honest review. First and foremost, the management here is deserving of more than five stars. Taylor R. and Jesse particularly have gone above and beyond helping me with my needs. The whole staff is endlessly and consistently accommodating; unlike so many apartments in Dallas, the management here is thoughtful and attentive through and through.The community is just as friendly as the management - I have actually made friends here just by running into people in the elevator or the dog park. I used to worry about the location of The Crosby, but living here has shown me that there should be no concern. I've never had a negative experience in this neighborhood, and I adore being so close to Downtown/Uptown/Deep Ellum/Lower Greenville etc. The building is beautiful, the view from the sky deck is wonderful, and friendly faces are the cherry on top. They ambiguously describe their items to trick customers into paying $16 A PIECE for one lousy generic canning jar! Once your "Order" arrives and you question the obvious lack of canning jars they tell you your order doesn't qualify for return/refund because you didn't spend enough money on their sub par china jars. They produce in China, Ship to Los Angelos in order to claim they are an American company, then ship to your home/business. An entire process that takes over a month when they claim 7-10 day shipping.
