Croshaw's Gourmet Pies was our first stop for food on the way to Zion National Park.  Inside was the sweet scent of pies in the air.  You order at the counter and wait at a table for your order.  Seemed like the locals got their orders to go. I was hoping to get a chicken pot pie but they were out.  I ordered a turkey sandwich but I kept watching the sign to see if they would bake more.  Turkey sandwich had fresh and crisp lettuce and tomato.  Turkey had a nice turkey flavor.  Bread had a fresh aroma.  Delicious turkey sandwich. As I was finishing my sandwich I noticed the sign had flipped over and they were no longer out of pot pie.  Yah!  Chicken pot pie looked like a Marie Callender's chicken pot pie.  Crust had a fresh buttery aroma.  Crunchy outer layer.  Inside was tons of gravy, chicken, carrots, and peas.  Small amount of celery.  This pie is very similar to Marie Callender's but I think Croshaw's pie taste fresher and doesn't have an artificial flavor like Marie Callender's pot pies from the supermarket.  Croshaw's is one of my fav chicken pot pies. Jackson Hole root beer had a good amount of foam and a really strong bold flavor.  Loved it. French apple pie had a very sweet cinnamon flavored top and was packed full of apples.  Crust was buttery and crunchy.  Very tasty pie. I enjoyed everything I tried here but the chicken pot pie was my favorite.  Very nice staff here.  Manager posed for a photo for me.  Prices were low like back in the old days.  I'd eat here all the time if I lived nearby.

This place is very charming and homey, and the owner is very helpful, and sweet. He gave us suggestions on places to eat in the area. Most of their pies are sold by the slice, except for the specialty pies. Their sandwiches are a good size for one person and not overpriced. We came here twice and would highly recommend. Their pies are delicious!!!!

Part of the St. George dining scene since 1991Croshaw's Gourmet Pies is undeniably the city's most popular space for Dessert, lines starting before opening and pre-orders in the hundreds common with popular flavors frequently sold out well before closing. Owned by Ron Lloyd and Greg Croshaw, a focus on family and preservative-free products evident across the menu, guests are invited to indulge in Sandwiches, Soups or Salads though everyone in attendance knows well that something surrounded by Crust is the best bet. Offering 34+ flavors daily, tangy Sour Cream Lemon a best-seller thanks to its smooth center and delicate Cream, those with good fortune will also find Blueberry or Apple offered similarly with the latter flecked by Nuts and the former beneath Meringue. Not forgetting Pot Pies, three styles highlighted by tender Chicken with Vegetables, additional highlights include Lemon Cheesecake with medium-thick consistency and Banana Cream nearly as good as the one made by Emeril.

I was referred to Croshaw's by a friend who swears by their pies. I was able to stop in and try a few on my last visit in town for work and my pal was correct; the pies here are awesome. I like the fact that there is a large selection of pies (22 were listed on the board when I went!) to choose from and that you can buy by the slice. I ended up with slices of pumpkin, lemon cream cheese, French apple, and coconut to take back home to Vegas. Since it was lunch time and I was starving, I opted to stay and have a roast beef sandwich (the pot pies were sold out, but I definitely would have had one!). I shared my pies with a friend when I got back home and we both agreed that the pies at Croshaw's are worth the stop if you're in St. George.

    Cherry Pie to go.

Good pies without the drive out to Veyo. We have purchased their pies 5 or 6 times and have never been disappointed.

The pies are amazing. The pot pies are some of the best I've ever had. Get there early as the pot pies sell out quickly.

Be prepared for a long line waiting to buy a pie! It's worth the wait! Lunch specials are great too!

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. Parthee, thank you for your compassion and for helping create a beautiful moment for our family during a difficult season of life. We are so grateful, and we will never forget it.

We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.
