I'll start off with the positives.... They have been in town for a long time and many of the locals love this place. I asked the woman if I bought the pies and I brought them home. Could I freeze them. (She said no but...) So far I have frozen the sour cream lemon, Dutch apple pie, apple pie and cherry pie. They all freeze and defrost very well. The negatives, trying to get anything here at the holiday time is a complete and utter disaster!!! the line is ridiculously long and if you don't pre-order months in advance, you are basically not going to get anything. If you pre-order you have to choose a day to come pick it up and the lines are ridiculously long where you may potentially wait over an hour / two hours . If you come at any other time, whatever they have is whatever they have and once they sell out, they sell out. Do not try the Tropicana pie, It was disgusting. I also am not a fan of the crust that they use. It doesn't have much flavor. All in all I think the pies are mediocre. I like that they have a large variety however but all the flavors are not always available. read more

We love visiting Croshaw's when we are in St. George! Their crowd favorite seems to be their pot pies with many people lining up early to get their hands on them before they sell out. We usually just get a few cream pies for the weekend and they never disappoint. The staff is very friendly and helpful with answering questions about the pies and other offerings. They tend to sell out quickly so if you have a specific one in mind be sure to get there early, but we haven't come across a bad pie so any flavor is worth the time! . They have a small cozy cafe area inside if you want to stick around for lunch but the desserts are truly their best offerings. read more

Croshaw's Gourmet Pies was our first stop for food on the way to Zion National Park.  Inside was the sweet scent of pies in the air.  You order at the counter and wait at a table for your order.  Seemed like the locals got their orders to go. I was hoping to get a chicken pot pie but they were out.  I ordered a turkey sandwich but I kept watching the sign to see if they would bake more.  Turkey sandwich had fresh and crisp lettuce and tomato.  Turkey had a nice turkey flavor.  Bread had a fresh aroma.  Delicious turkey sandwich. As I was finishing my sandwich I noticed the sign had flipped over and they were no longer out of pot pie.  Yah!  Chicken pot pie looked like a Marie Callender's chicken pot pie.  Crust had a fresh buttery aroma.  Crunchy outer layer.  Inside was tons of gravy, chicken, carrots, and peas.  Small amount of celery.  This pie is very similar to Marie Callender's but I think Croshaw's pie taste fresher and doesn't have an artificial flavor like Marie Callender's pot pies from the supermarket.  Croshaw's is one of my fav chicken pot pies. Jackson Hole root beer had a good amount of foam and a really strong bold flavor.  Loved it. French apple pie had a very sweet cinnamon flavored top and was packed full of apples.  Crust was buttery and crunchy.  Very tasty pie. I enjoyed everything I tried here but the chicken pot pie was my favorite.  Very nice staff here.  Manager posed for a photo for me.  Prices were low like back in the old days.  I'd eat here all the time if I lived nearby. read more

This place is very charming and homey, and the owner is very helpful, and sweet. He gave us suggestions on places to eat in the area. Most of their pies are sold by the slice, except for the specialty pies. Their sandwiches are a good size for one person and not overpriced. We came here twice and would highly recommend. I was referred to Croshaw's by a friend who swears by their pies. I was able to stop in and try a few on my last visit in town for work and my pal was correct; the pies here are awesome. I like the fact that there is a large selection of pies (22 were listed on the board when I went!) to choose from and that you can buy by the slice. I ended up with slices of pumpkin, lemon cream cheese, French apple, and coconut to take back home to Vegas. Since it was lunch time and I was starving, I opted to stay and have a roast beef sandwich (the pot pies were sold out, but I definitely would have had one!). I shared my pies with a friend when I got back home and we both agreed that the pies at Croshaw's are worth the stop if you're in St. George. read more

We got so sick put us out of business for a week! We didn't want to make the drive to Veyo to get a chicken pot pie, so we dropped into Croshaw's. Unfortunately they were all sold out of pies. So we settled for two of their hoagie sandwiches instead. Oops, big mistake. My bet is they really don't sell very many of their sandwiches, so they slapped together a few things they had sitting in the back of the fridge, and yup, both me and my girlfriend ended up sick as dogs. Maybe if you go to this place, stick to their pot pies and avoid the sandwiches like your life depended on it; cause it might. Suggestion; if you're not going to keep fresh ingredients on hand for your secondary items, just take them off your menu. read more

Had to see what the incredibly long line was all about when we drove by. It was chaos inside, orderly but wow. We arrived about 30 minutes after opening, and already some pies were sold out. We chose a cherry pie to take back home to Arizona. Reasonable price. Their crust is on the lighter side, I prefer a bit more well-done, but it was light, crispy and flavorful anyway. We heated it up in the microwave, just slightly, as my husband prefers his this way. I don't recommend this as I noticed the flavor slightly changed. Made it less flavorful. I had a piece the next day, just room temperature and it was better. Good pie, loved the flavor of the crust. Nothing spectacular though, but good. read more

Oh...my...gosh!! I started out with the chicken pot pie and it was heavenly! The crust is light and flaky, and you hardly even know it's there but yet you know it's there. If that wasn't enough, I also ordered the coconut cream pie with whip cream! It was amazing as well as the lemon cheesecake pie. Excellent Crust! These pies are the best pies we've had in a long time! Just like grandma Great used to make! Very flaky and extremely tasty! Their pot pies are wonderful! I never had a pie there that I didn't like! I would recommend them to anyone. The service is next to none. All of their employees are very kind and friendly and your cooks do a fabulous job with everything they make! It's nice to see people that really care about their quality and their product. WOW a fantastic pie shop that I did not expect to find in my trip to Utah! The prices truly cannot be beat for such delicious pies! I sampled four flavors of pie: - Lemon Cream Cheese - Sour Cream Blueberry - Chocolate - Apple They were ALL amazing! I have to say the Lemon Cream Cheese was my favorite, the lemon flavoring was perfectly tart and the graham cracker crust was to die for. Chocolate was also a big hit, and it wasn't too sweet! I also really loved the apple pie, it had the perfect crumble texture on top. I couldn't recommend this pie shop enough! read more

Nice pie place in St. George. Glad we stopped here for lunch. We got the pot pie and different sandwiches- all were so good. But you know I place is good when you see a lot of locals coming in ordering pies to go. We are lucky enough to try their pecan, very berry, coconut cream, German chocolate, and banana cream. All were so good. Unfortunately, we didn't get to buy anymore. Will definitely stop here again when we venture out of vegas and head towards Utah. read more

It's been a number of years since we last drove through St. George and stopped for pies at Croshaw's. This time, my wife ordered boysenberry and I had lemon cream cheese. The pies are good, not great. The woman at the counter who seemed to be in charge was snappy and not friendly. This place is legit. We had just gotten Mexican food nearby and decided to stop and get a pie to take home with us. We arrived around 1:15 pm on Saturday. There was a line outside waiting to get in. They have stickers on the sidewalk to keep people 6' apart (although the lady who got in line behind me couldn't figure that part out). They were having an anniversary sale so all pies were $8.25. We ended up getting a lemon meringue, a banana cream and a French apple. The lemon meringue and the banana cream are outstanding. No one has gotten into the french apple yet but we've only been home for a half hour so give it a little time. It will disappear. You can't go wrong stopping here for pie. They bake pies every day and sell them until they run out. Can't wait to go back next time we're in St. George! read more

I stopped at Croshaw's after getting my nails done at a location also in this strip mall. I have a hard time resisting desserts of any sort, but I have a super soft spot for pies. I'm not sure how this spot usually operates, since I visited during quarantine times, but we took our pies to-go since that was the only option. Between my friends and I, we ordered two chocolate pies, one peach pie, and one custard pie. Of that, my pie was the peach pie. I was going to get a chocolate, but only two were available and peach pie is probably my favorite kind of pie. But I digress... The crust of a pie is--in my opinion--the most important component. Croshaw's pie crust was everything pie crust should be. It was flaky and buttery and held up well despite the liquidness of the peach filling. The filling itself was also super good. Best of all, these pies were super reasonably priced. I believe mine was under $11. For the quality and size of the pie, that's a super good deal. Overall, I was very pleased with my pie and certainly plan on returning to this spot next time I'm in town. I'd love to try out some more more of their menu--pies and otherwise. read more

Mediocre pies can be found here. We came here roughly when the store opened, and dined in at the restaurant. Who serves a slice of apple pie cold, and a custard pie warm?? This restaurant is rated higher than it deserves.. but it was the only fresh pie bakery in the area, so the standards may not have that push it needed. I must note that the best item I read about this place to be known for is their chicken pot pie, which they did not have any of. Maybe that would've changed my opinion about this place. read more

Visiting from LV and ordered a pie over the phone. Bummed key lime was out but realized we should've called earlier in the day to get that. Pick up was quick and the 70 cent cookies at the check out counter were unbelievable. Added on a cinnamon roll and quiche as well. Amazing quality of all items. Boysenberry pie was delicious as well. I wish I could give them five (or more) stars because their pies are the best I've ever tasted, but they have customer service problems on the phone and in person. They automatically stated we couldn't order pies for the holidays because their quotas were already full--before saying hello or asking what we wanted. They also were negative about long lines (there were none), not being able to reserve any items over the phone, etc. Why not be positive and friendly?! They seemed annoyed to have customers. Umm, then why have a restaurant? I tried their meat pies first--they only had chicken which was fine. We got the last three at 3:00 on a Tuesday. The crust, meat and vegetables were cooked perfectly but needed seasoning (salt and pepper). We also ordered their sour lemon cream pie which was fantastic. The next day I got the coconut cream pie; it was topped with meringue instead of whipped cream which I prefer, but again they weren't customer friendly and acted like it would be a huge inconvenience for them to substitute the toppings. And they would charge me!! They have several comfortable booths to dine in. They offer quiche for breakfast plus meat pies, soup, salad and sandwiches for lunch, then dozens of fruit and cream pies for dessert. They open at 9:00 but don't offer meat or cream pies until 11:00. They often sell out within a few hours. We were able to find parking spaces right in front of their store, but I'm sure that's not always the case because of the tiny, busy parking lot. They sure think a lot of themselves. read more
