Stopped by while in town visiting because I heard they offer gluten free items on their menu. They had just changed their menu to an Asian cuisine theme. Delicious! I was a bit worried it would be overly salty, sauced or frozen vegetables being that it was a somewhat fast food setting. I was pleasantly surprised! Incredibly delicious. Quality food and a good amount for the price. My gluten free Kung Pao Shrimp and Chicken Lettuce wraps were were amazing. The owner, Joyce, came out to check on our party. He explained he wants to provide quality meats, spices for this type of food. My brother and his wife loved their regular beef & broccoli. Very clean restaurant and lots of places to sit. Food was quick to be delivered to our table. The owner came over to make sure we were happy with our meal. I was in the mood for noodles, and my wife and I were intrigued by the notion of "healthy" foods. I don't think there was anything particularly "terrible" about the place, but I guess I could sum it up by saying I was underwhelmed. First off, the place is tucked away a little inside a business plaza, but there's a helpful sign right on Main Street to give you an idea where. I got excited when I got in initially, because of the Stubborn Soda fountain machine near the registers. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment, because the actual dispensers are all Pepsi products. Kind of wish they would get rid of the Stubborn Soda signage, since the pictures from other Yelpers of the fountain were one of the things that made me decide on the place. From what the employee mentioned, it does sound like the Stubborn folks were - ahem - stubborn about providing the sodas in a timely manner. I think it's a trend, because the soda shop down the street had a similar situation with the fountain setup. I guess my other gripe with this is, for a place billing themselves as healthy, maybe nix the sodas with high fructose. Ordering experience was fine - food came out quick. I was kind of surprised that they charge for additional dressing (it's really worth a $1 up charge?). In general, the food was fine, just seemed a bit overpriced for the quantity and quality. It did take a while to get someone's attention in the back after I had to go back and grab a third fork. The plastic forks my wife was using kept breaking at the sporks. Surprising and a little dangerous. Maybe invest in real utensils? Here's what my wife and I got to eat and drink: 1) Ahi Tuna Salad (add chicken) - There wasn't a whole lot of Ahi Tuna in this thing. Also, adding chicken for $2 doesn't get you much actual chicken, FYI. My wife wasn't sure which dressing she wanted so we got a second one. She liked it better, but $1 for dressing, really? 2) Teriyaki noodle bowl with chicken (add tofu) - Same concerns about not a large portion of protein. The noodles were plentiful and somewhat flavorful, although the sauce tends to collect on the bottom of the bowl, so the first several bites were a little dry. 3) Ginger tea - For some unfathomable reason, they decided to make this tea heavily flavored with cinnamon. It was gross. Kind of annoying because the sign didn't say ANYTHING about cinnamon, and when I asked the employee about that, she was like "yeah they flavor it with cinnamon". Probably a good idea to reference that on the sign. Fortunately, she was able to swap it out. I did offer to pay the upcharge for a Lavender Lemonade, and she took me up on that. 4) Lavender Lemonade - didn't taste anything like lavender. It was basically a normal lemonade, but purple. Fine, but not worth $3.50 5) Some sort of black tea - my wife got it and I tried a few sips. Fine but unremarkable. 6) Cooke Dough Mouse - It was okay, but I didn't like the texture much 7) Some sort of vegan cookie - Just kind of crumbly and bland I gravitated between 2 and 3 stars on this one and went with the lesser. I'm not seeing the hype. I just feel like there are other "healthy" fast casual places that are a better value, and with better food / drink options. read more

It's a little difficult to find if you're in the parking structure, but if you park on the street, it's right there. I loved all the quotes around the walls though, super cute and inspiring. I had the teriyaki bowl and it was delicious! I love quinoa and that it was vegan. The staff was nice and helpful. I would definitely go again and try something new. read more

Incorrect order, but still yummy. Ordered ahead for pick up and it was ready within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until I got home to eat that I had the wrong burger! Their basic cheddar cheeseburger was still good though. I was disappointed I didn't get to try the truffle chips (especially since those are an additional cost) but their original chips are also good. Overall, probably wouldn't order to-go again. Not their fault, I realize many people like corn, I just think on cold salad it's weird and like polygamy should be outlawed. This review is a combination of my experience with their customer service + my friend's love for this restaurant. Combined they get 5 stars!! I ordered delivery for the pesto pasta for my friend who is staying in a hospital nearby. She loves this place and wanted a break from hospital food. I ordered online and food was prepped in a timely fashion and then delivered by Grubhub. I had put in a special request for a note to be written to my friend on my behalf, which the restaurant did too. It brought my friend such joy, not just for her tummy but for you soul. While it's still gluten friendly, which I appreciate, it doesn't have the healthful choices or the variety of flavors that we had grown to really love. Service was also a step-down. Just to preface, I hate shrimp. My boyfriend and I came in today for dinner and ordered the kung pao chicken and beef lomain to go. We had already left the restaurant and got home when we realized they gave us kung pao shrimp instead of chicken. I hate shrimp. When we returned to the restaurant to hopefully exchange it, they said the kitchen was closed and they didn't offer to fix it or give us a refund. We searched for nearby vegan restaurants. This place came up and was rated well. We weren't impressed with the taste out quality of the food. It was mostly quinoa/rice with a few speckles of veggies and tofu. Paying extra for tofu was a joke. Tofu is so inexpensive. Much less than meat and there was barely any tofu in it at all. The glaciers were mediocre. Not bad but not really good either. We were so hungry from our long drive that we scarfed it down anyway. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because they were, nice, quick, got our order right, had vegan options and it wasn't terrible tasting. And is in a cute area. Stopped in for a quick healthy lunch and ordered the Rasta Power Bowl. It was very delicious, had good portion size and priced pretty well. Also got the strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing on a hot day. I got my order to go because of covid-19, so I wasn't able to rate the dining experience. There were some people eating at the restaurant though. Look like they were spacing out the tables and the staff for masks. They also had hand sanitizer to counter for you to use. Looking for something healthy (not as easy as it sounds in Southern Utah) we were guided by fellow Yelpers to this little cafe. Nothing fancy: tucked in a little business center, walk up to counter and order, a few tables, grab your own utensils. But we were very happy with our Roasted potato salad. Warm fingerling and sweet potatoes and mushrooms served over field greens mix with feta on top. The warm and cold combo was scrumptious! I think the food is fresh and they seem to be adaptable to special diets. Tofu can be substituted for chicken for example. And the clincher? This place is kind of off the normal path. Think it's location is made for downtown foot traffic and office clientele. Pretty clean and lots of seating. Outdoor seating has around 12 picnic tables placed throughout the inner office space corridor. So you can sit inside or outside and there's plenty of room. I had the Enchilada Power bowl. It had quinoa, chicken, brown rice, black beans, corn, carrots cheese and guacamole. Topped off with tortilla chips cut into strips. This was very good and very filling. Will definitely have this again. My wife had the Lemon Chicken Power bowl. It had Quinoa, chicken, spinach, brown rice and some kind of creamy sauce holding it all together. She has fallen in love with this place. Most of menu is gluten free. Can't wait to come back and try their salads, wraps, power bowls, burgers and pasta! Way healthy eating going on here. read more

We came here on a visit to St. George. So, even though I would return, it can't be anytime soon since it was a stop on our short vacation to Utah. Anyway, we liked their menu selection so we wanted to try this place for lunch. We ordered the Cranberry Chicken wrap which came with salad and the Southwestern bowl. The wait time for our take out was reasonable. Both dishes tasted very good. The portion size for the wrap was more than enough. I ended up sharing my wrap because I could only finish half. The salad was just okay. I ordered the cilantro avocado dressing but that was just okay too. The flavor of the Southwestern bowl was great but the portion size ran a little small for our teen son. One thing that I noticed that even though the staff did wear their masks, the couple ordering right before us was not wearing theirs but the staff did not say anything to them about this. Usually love twisted noodle. It's great for vegan options. Today we ordered our vegan options as usual but came out with cheese. Usually not a big deal, as long as it is fixed. The hostess came right back out not even a minute later, said the cook scraped the cheese off and asked if that was okay. It's definitely one thing if the restaurant doesn't offer vegan items, but to offer them and just scrape cheese off the food( along with about half of the food that was originally on there) is highly unprofessional. If an order is incorrect it should be replaced with the correct item. Like I said I usually love this place. But this visit left me very disappointed read more

Execellent place for some quick, healthy eats! Twisted Noodle Cafe is geared toward the "health-conscious" consumer. They offer salads, wraps, power bowls, burgers, and pastas. Their menu has changed slightly over the past couple of years, but the concept remains the same. Today I had the fit salad and southwestern soup. They really know how to make a good salad!! The spring greens were mixed with a small amount of brown rice, quinoa, stir-fried onions, spiraled yellow squash, and red bell peppers. I paid $2.50 for tofu but it was a small portion, I wish they gave more for the price :( Anyway, the combination of fresh cold veggies, hot veggies, and pan-fried tofu was delightful. The soup was also very good; not too rich, but tasty and comforting. I also enjoyed a glass of their complimentary infused water with my meal. They offered 2 different flavors. The customer service was good today, the lady at the register was friendly and she recommended the balsamic vinaigrette with my salad. Overall, I think that this is a great lunch spot. We drove through St. George from Utah to Arizona and we wanted something convenient, so we stopped by this place. Other places closed pretty early so this is the option that we had at that time. They are known for their healthy options. They put brown rice/quinoa instead of regular white rice, which made the food healthier but at the same time increases the cost. Four of us ordered 2 power bowl - the Enchilada and Teriyaki. The taste of the teriyaki was not what I expected. I guess that's because they made it "healthier" but it was sour! I usually really like teriyaki and I didn't think that it would go wrong with teriyaki, but this time I couldn't finish the bowl (even when the portions of the bowls were not big already). The enchilada was better, but I think I am just not used to the healthy taste because I didn't really like it either. That day was super hot so we wanted a lemonade too, but it was actually really expensive so we ended up sharing one cup lemonade between 2 persons. The only thing that I liked was the cheesecake. It was rich but was not too sweet. The server was nice, but was not very helpful in helping us decide what to order or telling us what ingredients are in the bowls. I hate to write a poor review but we were so disappointed by this well-reviewed restaurant. While traveling, we were glad to find a spot on Yelp with healthy options on our way through St. George. The cafe was clean and seemed very pleasant and popular, and we loved that we were patronizing a local business instead of one of the ubiquitous fast food chains by the freeway. They advertise that they serve options for lots of healthy diets and restrictions, including paleo, gluten-free, and vegan/vegetarian, which was great because my husband is vegan. You order at the counter and there is a posted chalkboard menu above the register with just the names of the menu items but no details about ingredients which seemed odd - we didn't see another menu with more details and the person at the counter didn't direct us to one (we saw later that there were paper menus by the register). My husband doesn't eat dairy or meat, and was excited to see a black bean burger on the overhead menu. It did not specify that there was cheese on it and the cashier said nothing about if he was okay with all the toppings. It was our fault that we didn't think to ask about it but we were exhausted after driving all day with our kids and that was our mistake. Our food was delivered to the table and when my husband saw that it was topped with melted cheese, he was surprised and said politely that he didn't eat cheese and didn't know it was on the burger or he would've specified earlier, and asked if there was anything they could do. The lady (possibly the manager?) seemed irritated, took it back to the kitchen, and when it returned, it was literally the same burger she had just taken back, but with the melted cheese scraped off so that the burger was mangled and falling apart (and still had some cheese on it because it had been melted on). Whoa. She was unapologetic about it and seemed almost angry that we had "the nerve" to ask for it to be sent back - this from a restaurant that claimed to have such an emphasis on healthy eating and special diets. We just assumed they would be accommodating of ours as well and weren't trying to be picky or rude. And in this age of food allergies, what we were served would be so contaminated that it couldn't be consumed. They didn't know if my husband had dairy allergies or not (he doesn't), yet still served us this. Not sure we've ever experienced such poor treatment at a restaurant. We didn't know what to do and would have left if we weren't tired and our kids needed to eat. My husband ended up eating it because we were too tired to press the matter. He said it was a standard frozen black bean burger like from Costco but even that was no problem, those are usually good. The other food was fine too but the rest of the visit was tainted. It was uncomfortable to say the least, and we were glad to leave. Perhaps they have changed their practices since we visited and they have improved.
