Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION. Caden (sp?) the owner's grandson and Jeff the Service Manager were so very helpful and prompt in servicing me (on a Saturday morning, albeit) and Jeff was extremely informative when I asked him numerous questions. Where other mechanics might otherwise upsell you or commit you to extra work, I've actually had several instances where they've come back and given me the facts to help make a decision on how to proceed after a diagnostic and often they've even been honest about work that can be deferred or omitted completely. Don't really see that much, in my experience. No sticker shock either, the service fees also felt proportional and reasonable or well within their estimates, if not lower than estimated. Finally, I've dealt with the same receptionist there since we switched over and I've always felt she was professional and knowledgeable. Maybe not overly bubbly or sweet or anything, but why would that be a deal-breaker to the point that you would stop going to a unicorn mechanic? This is referring to a previous review complaining about the receptionist, but praising Dan the the shop. My guess is you'll end up back there within the year. I don't tend to pay much attention to reviews from people who only go on these pages to complain, and out of your 30 reviews they 28 of them have been 1s or 2s out of 5. That's not feedback that's entitlement.
