There is not much I can add to the stories of train wreck moves that folks have shared here, but I thought that since my experience just concluded [7/12/26] I would regale all with my personal tale of woe thereby letting everyone know that while some YELP experiences are several years and more old, this company of scam artists still is active and doing the same actions. My experience with Cross Country Movers [aka Moving & Storage SF, aka CCM] began with a pickup that, as many here have attested started a day after originally scheduled. When the "loaders" [they didn't pack, my Son and I did that] arrived they did so with an insane amount of tape and moving blankets which they proceeded to use to wrap furniture and related items with abandon [this didn't work however, as several items were damaged when delivered]. Before they started; however, they informed me that I would owe about 2x the original estimate because the weasel on the phone [name of Benjamine in California] had said I would be paying by weight [which made sense, they are carrying items in a truck] but when the "loaders" got there, I was told I would be paying by volume [what?]. Light boxes take up more space so CCM figures [I guess] this is acceptable and they can make me pay more! Well the truck was loaded [Budget Rent-a-Truck with a paper DOT number taped on it !] and the 'Loaders" left but not before asking for a tip. That was 22 days prior to yesterday's delivery. If you look at the fine print on their contract it says they have up to 30 days to deliver; however, they assured me that it would be maybe a week from pickup to delivery - yeah, right ! Well after the first week, I started calling and texting and calling and texting without result until my delivery was over a week later than originally promised [so roughly 14 days into the 22 days it took]. I was then contacted by someone in Florida name Vanessa, who first told me that the ICC or DOT had found something wrong with the loads on the truck and my load was being "inspected". She then referred me to the 30-day fine print and finally said I somehow got her direct number and it would be "easier to call the main number" so "someone else could help me". Well, that didn't work so I continued to call and text until Saturday [7/11] when I was told that the delivery would finally happen 8 AM Sunday morning [yesterday 7/12]. So, I get up nice and early on Sunday and - you guessed it - I get a phone call from the driver saying that now the delivery would be somewhere between 12 Noon & 2 PM. Right at 2 PM the semi shows up and the driver gets out asking for the final payment before he can do anything and then complaining that his help is late but should be here in 13 minutes [very specific]. Well, this doesn't happen and 4 hours later [and a couple of wall dings from one person carrying what two should be] the load is offloaded with several broken pieces of furniture [despite the moving blankets and tape wrap]. The driver then asks for help backing his semi and my personal tale of Cross Country Movers woe is done. EXCEPT, recall the "you are paying by volume not weight" excuse used to get more money from me? Well, another part of the fine print says that is not the case when claiming damages. Damages are paid on a pound basis [60 cents a pound to be specific] so claiming on a broken piece of furniture nets you far less than the item's replacement cost. To wrap up - one of the reviewers here said that they wouldn't even recommend CCM to someone they hate and I agree. This company should be investigated by whatever government agency looks into fraud because that how I feel - defrauded. My money is gone, pieces of my furniture are broken, my new home has wall dings and CCM is probably defrauding the next individual as I write this. read more

Not recommended at all. Still haven't gotten my stuff yet. The dispatch said Saturday ( last week ), today is Wednesday. They changed the pickup time a day early. The estimated way off, moving a studio apartment from Pittsburgh to Baltimore almost cost me $4k. The driver drove a semi and worked by himself, and asked for tips upfront, that was crazy!. And he did a very sloppy job, his name is Cori and the moving consultant's name is Ray. Stay away from this company, and no one responded to your calls!. read more

Do not use, here's why - we didn't hire this company, a broker that presented itself as a moving company did. Upon arrival Cross Country demanded a much higher price. Since we had to move we were left without a choice And what a BAD choice. This company picks up you household belongings with one set of employee. Then they transfer your precious goods to another truck - all with a complete disregard for breakage or damage. Yes something will arrive smashed and damaged. Worst moving company ever. You pretend to be professional on the phone. Send your "Better Business Bureau" rating. Completely false. You sent a crew of three idiot boys who had no clue how to pack a box or wrap an item. They destroyed my furniture. All I have left is garbage after paying you almost $5,000 for nothing. The idiots you sent were throwing my furniture down the stairs. The put dents dings and scratches in my furniture. On top of that the day I moved was raining. They left all my furniture on the side walk getting soaked and stolen. A move that should have taken 2-4 hours max took 10 hours. Completely inexperienced and unprofessional. You Charged $5,000 for nothing. I could have paid a bunch of 16 year olds to pack my belonging and they would have done a better job and the three idotits you sent. To make matters worse you took my belongings and "stored" it for a month. So my belongs that got wet in the rain, and damaged from the move sat in some warehouse growing mold until it was time for redelivery. On the day of redelivery you sent only two idiots instead of three. And they were worse than before. They offloaded the truck and move the garbage into my house. The dented and dinged the walls of my brand new house. They scratched my floors. They left their garbage and moving blankets everywhere. Even more inexperienced and unprofessional. They delivered my furniture covered in mold. My sofas and mattresses were soaked. They destroyed my patio furniture set. Broke chair handles. The dining room set was destroyed. The bookcases are warped and unusable. They broke and Destroyed my TVs to make it fit in the box. They stole my exercise bike and elliptical. And when I told them to leave the broken furniture for the insurance company They refused to give me my broken furniture. Horrible. In the end they refused to give me an itemized inventory list. Half my stuff is broken damaged or missing. I haven't finished unpacking all the boxes but all I can say it gets worse with each box. Terrible moving company. I don't know how you're still open. And when it came time to contact customer service and file a damage claim all I'm getting is automated service which is connected to nobody. The phone rings until it hangs up. Can't even file a complaint or a report anything missing lost stolen or damaged. What kind of SCAM MOVING COMPANY are you running???!!!! Worst movers ever. Poor, actually horrible customer service. Actual movers demanded $300 cash up front saying it was the company policy. Denying it was a tip. This was in addition to the negotiated price. Many items broken. Lied about distance. It was 30 feet from truck to door. Said it was over 75 feet. So they could charge more. Didn't weigh the truck; instead estimated cubic feet. So the price changed 4 times. The move was a 4 hr drive. Took 3 days for items to show up. read more

My friend moved across the country so her husband could get medical treatment as he needs two organ transplants. They promised her due to her circumstances and her husbands health a delivery by the 20th she reached out Thursday and they said the truck was in Nevada and then didn't respond. She called and was told it may be after Christmas she gets her belongings. They got her stuff on the 9th. My friend uprooted her life to get her husband life saving medical treatment and she paid extra to have it done by the 20th. they sent a text saying they lost her things and won't pick up when she calls! beyond unprofessional and awful. absolutely do not recommend read more

Cross country movers were sub contracted to me from express movers. I'm in the military and needed weight slips to be paid when I PCS. I've stated this everytime I talked to someone. I told the pick up people and the delivery guys. They said that's customer service who does that. I was quoted way off and now may have to pay 15k out of pocket because i cant get weight tickets that i paid $100 for. They said they would take good care of my antique hutches. All 3 were scratched and two were cracked and broke. I have tryed for 2 weeks to contact people and no one will call me back. I was told by Nick he would be there every step of my move and once I paid the 3k up front he stopped helping and just sent preloaded txt for a customer service that you can't leave messages with. This is the worst most corrupt lieing company I've ever dealt with. Do not trust them and the fine print they do not explain what the legal jargon means. Both companies are scams. read more

Worst company I've ever dealt with in my entire life. They refused to unload my grandma's things out of their truck. We had to unload half of it until things escalated to the point where I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE. I've never seen movers that refuse to move things. Once they found out I called the police, they began unloading the rest of the truck and left all of my grandma's things outside the building. They threw tape and garbage all over the ground and refused to pick it up. They blocked the entrance of the building (a 55+ year old building where most people have mobility problems). Words cannot express how terrible this experience was. To go into more detail, they wanted my grandma to pay more to move her things more than 30ft. My grandma was willing to pay, but she is 80 years old and could not send them money right then and there. She told them that and they told the movers to drop everything and lock up the truck with her belongings. Considering she already paid $15,000 to move her things, and $12,000 to store her things, I would think they would feel confident that she's good for the money. They told us that in the contract, they would move it 30 feet, to which I agreed and said my family and I would move it the rest of the way. At this point, the lady in the office was still telling the men to keep everything on the truck. They refused to move things along and told me to do it myself. So I did, my family and I started unloading the truck. The men kept trying to close us in the truck and kept trying to block us from getting my grandma's things. It got to the point where I had to call the police. Once the workers heard that the police were on their way, they promptly got in the truck and started unloading it, at which point we got off the truck since they were finally doing their job, this was before the officers arrived). The police stayed with us the entire time to make sure that the workers unloaded the truck. The police also told us that it's illegal for them to withhold her possessions as they were trying to do. Also, the workers refused to move the belongings the 30ft that is stated in the contract, which would have brought all of her belongings inside. Instead, they left all of her stuff outside. I have video footage of the entire day, start to finish, yet this company is trying to say on google that I'm lying! This was all because they couldn't wait for my grandma to send them the e-transfer when she was able to. She was clearly good for the money, but they wouldn't accept that. When she saw the movers drop her stuff and start locking it up, she was devastated. She couldn't even deal with the lady in the office anymore, she was so overbearing that my grandma had to hang up on her. They couldn't be kind or understanding in the fact that she's not capable of sending an e-transfer without her computer. She was also not capable of even looking at the email they sent her with the invoice without her computer. They couldn't wait to get paid until after the job was finished like every other company does. They needed that extra bit of money even though $15,000 was pre-paid. Absolutely unbelievable that all of this came because they couldn't wait a few hours for her to send an e-transfer. To see how the lady at the office is to deal with, please look at my google review and read her response. She wasn't even there, yet she keeps calling me a liar. I have video footage of the entire day along with multiple witnesses. She has a few videos from her workers showing only the times that they thought would benefit them. She thought she could push my elderly grandma around, and she didn't like it when I wouldn't allow that and I started pushing back. It's very obvious by what she wrote, that she has a personal problem with me, and has no care for the situation that she put my grandma in, even though my grandma was an excellent client. We booked Cross Country Movers in early September, 2020 for a move on September 30. The Saturday before our move they called to tell us they were no longer available on this date, but could do the day before or October 2. All of this had been coordinated between our new and existing building and could not be changed with out going through so many machinations. We requested a return of our down payment and were lucky enough to find another mover in the area. Be very careful with all the details and ensure they input them correctly on the contract, if you choose to use this business. They are a total scam!! They have good sales people who will promise you whatever you want at a cheap price, get you to sign and then take your money. They will take your furniture to a warehouse and will move it whenever they want after promising you they'll be there on the date you requested. They use hidden language so when you confront them they act as if they already told you but they didn't. They also change hands so many times that by the time your furniture actually gets to you it's damaged or missing all together like mine was (flat screen tv and entire patio furniture set). Hidden fees that are not disclosed will be charged the moment they pick up your stuff claiming they needed to get another truck to go to you complex or what not(why do I have to pay for your lack of equipment) the delivery date was change and they claimed 2-10 business days delivery after they said the stuff wont be delivered Ive been over 10 business days waiting and my stuff is still not here and every time I speak with them they get nastier by the minute and Im afraid my stuff wont even show up at all. Do not hire this company! Worst experience ever! We live in NJ and recently purchased a vacation home Florida. We were looking for a moving company to move some furniture down to the new home. It was not a very big job and we had estimates ranging from $1850 to $3600. We decided to go with Cross Country Movers as the person we dealt with, Juan, seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us the estimate based on us detailing exactly what needed to be moved, and the cost was $1850. I made the first payment at that time. He told us they would pick up the furniture on November 11th which occurred. The movers arrived on time and were friendly....and that was the end of my good experience. At that point I was told that the estimate was incorrect, and the cost of the move would be $800 more than originally quoted due the fact that the furniture was bigger than anticipated. I made the 2nd payment at this point as there was nothing we could do since all the furniture was already wrapped and ready to go. Although they wrapped everything carefully, in moving our furniture they damaged the walls in the basement and apologized. The head mover said he lived in Ft. Lauderdale and would be delivering our furniture the following weekend. We arrived in Florida on Friday morning, November 13th and anticipated a phone call from the moving company on Saturday. No phone call came and when we called on Monday, customer service said that our delivery was not scheduled, and they would get back to us. After that we called practically every day, and no one could help us or even give us a date as to when the furniture would be delivered. We were supposed to go back home after 2 weeks and I told them that I needed a date so I could at least make other plans, but there was no information forthcoming. When I told them that we needed to go back to NJ and I was concerned I would possibly have to put the furniture in storage, I immediately received a call back saying' "you want to put your furniture in storage?" That was one of the few times I heard back from them, after calling almost every day. At this point we had no furniture and had to go out and buy a futon to at least have somewhere to sit. I understand that there is a delivery window that I agreed to in the contract, but there was no communication, and the mover should never have told me that my furniture would be delivered that weekend. Customer service was not helpful either. One of the women was sympathetic but never got results and the man I spoke with gave me no information at all and acted like he was following a script - "Yes, ma'am, no ma'am". I felt like I couldn't be nasty since they were holding my furniture hostage. They finally called us and said they were going to pick up the furniture to be delivered on Tuesday, December 1st. There was no call prior to that day and on the 1st when we called inquiring, they said that the furniture was only picked up on that day and there was still no delivery date scheduled. Where was the furniture anyway? No one could say. Finally, they called and said they would deliver on Sunday, December 6th. On Sunday they called and changed it to the 7th. Finally, the future was delivered. This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. Even when the furniture was delivered the movers never reconnected the sectional as they were supposed to. Many of the pieces were damaged, not to mention the damage to the tile floor and concrete saddle on the front door of the house. They also left all the garbage - cardboard and plastic in front of the house. We only noticed it when we went outside after they left. Horrible experience and now I have to put in a claim which i doubt will amount to anything. Run away from his company! Worst company ever used, T They stole all my jewelry boxes, 5 boxes worth of clothes, tv stand,and 2 wall art wall pieces that my daughter paint. All my boxes came open and broken. They even show up with with an bedroom set that was not even mine. Worse customer service, one of the guy was very rude. They left all the trash in front of the my neighbor house and the neighbor call my landlord and complain. I Worse people ever. I have been calling the company and the Mark Allen who was helping at the beginning and he does not answer to my calls, text, emails. I selected them after carefully reviewing their scores on both Google and the BBB. They had a pretty good score on both and their quote was middle of the pack from the many quotes that I received for my move from White Rock to Calgary. I was told initially that the delivery would be on October 29 or 30th. However, the day before the October 26 pickup, I was told they only deliver to Calgary on Fridays, so my delivery would be on October 31 or November 1 if they experienced delays in the mountains. They were supposed to notify me when they had loaded my shipment to deliver so that they could provide me with a more accurate ETA. Come Sunday, I still hadn't heard anything back about my shipment. I try phoning and get a voicemail message telling me that they are closed and to email instead. I finally got a phone call back at 4 PM and the person simply tells me sorry, we couldn't fit your stuff on the truck, so it won't be delivered until the following Sunday or Monday. So now I am left for a week with no furniture, no dishes, no cutlery, no pots or pans, and no bedding. I have had to go out and buy replacement stuff to get by for an extra week. The only positive thing I can say about my experience is that the two people who handled my load up were incredibly efficient and did a phenomenal job. read more

Do NOT use them! You will pay 2x to 4x the price they quote you and they'll take your belongings if you don't pay on the spot. They leave your belongings on the truck and then threaten you. They make their money by over billing you on packing & unpacking supplies which every single honest packing company will supply up front. Any mover that tries to charge you for use of their furniture blankets is scamming you. They charge $5 per blanket and your average move requires 40 - 80 blankets. First off, I paid my deposit to be moved on a Sunday between 2 and 4. I was given the run-around all day until finally, I was rescheduled for the next morning. The lady on the phone didn't seem very empathetic to my inconvenience. The crew that came the next morning was very nice and efficient. However, after all was said and done, the total price was much more than the estimate. I give the crew an A+ but there is no way I would recommend this company. The service was terrible.... when they picked up the furniture they couldn't fit some pieces. They ended up leaving many pieces and drive off. When I called to let them know they said it was our fault for not letting them know how much furniture we had. I emailed them everything we had to love. When they finally delivered our furniture the new sofa (tags were still on the sofa) was ripped. It was obvious they dropped it. I put in a claim and waited 3 months to have them offer 72 dollars to fix the couch. I would not recommend using them. read more

Once they finally came to pick up my apartment the prices went up $700 so I am assuming that's their scam on everyone. Never was told that it takes 14 days from your first delivery date available to you get your things. My belongings sat in a warehouse for more than a month Before it was even shipped out. Now moving on I arrived to my new Home and called like I was I told to do, the gentlemen on the phone said the route is being built dispatch will reach out to you shortly That was March 6th so that means my stuff isnt in route and still in Miami FL. I called every day after that up until finally March 15th until I finally got an answer from someone said that the truck was loaded last night and your stuff is in route. Well 14 days from the 6th will be the 19th guest what I still don't have my things.. I told the lady on the phone that there is no way in 4 days with other stops on that truck my stuff will make it in the time promised. This company have ripped me off and have had me without anything for a month. They are trying to hold everything because they are getting as many stops as possible to make money but are forgetting about the customers that have paid and waiting. being greedy will have you out of business. I want my money back or a Discount or I will block all transaction with my bank and report this as fraudulent activity. read more

All the bad reviews here are true. we were promised a safe and damage free move also no stress or hassles and our experience was as far from that as you can get. on the day of our move they sent a crew of three men and the Foreman was pretty much a gang member who bullied and threatened us the entire time he was packing our stuff and yelling at his guys. when our stuff was delivered to our new apartment 3000 miles away it was delivered by another group of three movers a girl who stood around looking at her phone and her nails and another guy that just talked the whole time and they refused to put any of our stuff together that was there because they said the previous movers broke everything and all the screw s had been stripped. we are missing half of our stuff and what was delivered was ruined destroyed more like it we've had no help from cross-country movers especially Annie V. customer service who does not care at all they offered us $100 to agree to not writing any bad reviews they are the worst we still have not gotten our money back and we had to replace all our furniture and clothes and dishes and priceless one of kind professional photos were lost or stolen. PLEASE DON'T USE CROSS COUNTRY MOVING AND STORAGE for your own sanity. These guys are thugs and cheats. My experience with them: * Overcharging: I spoke with their sales representative (Greg Johnson), who gave me a quote for my short move. I categorically asked Greg if my the quote included hidden charges like shuttle fees etc. and he assured me that the quote was "all inclusive". A few days before delivery, I call the company and they inform me that I will be charged a $350 shuttle fee, since I am moving to NYC. They refused to acknowledge that Greg lied to me or waive the extra charges (FYI - a truck delivered to our address, there was no shuttle). Then on the day of delivery, the delivery guys insisted on charging me an extra $100 since the service elevator was "too far" from where their truck was parked. They refused to give my items back till I paid (FYI - my final invoice doesn't include the $100) * Late Delivery: My items were delivered two days after the scheduled delivery date. When I spoke to the call center representative, they told me that contractually they can delay the goods up to 21 days from the scheduled delivery date and I can't do anything about it. * Customer service: The reps were almost threatening on the phone, telling me what the contract fine print stated and what I was "legally required" to do. I am filing a claim with them and plan to complain to the Better Business Bureau too. Don't opt for these movers for your move. read more

Liars and Thieves!!!! First of all, they gave us a price of $1800 or so, it became $2600, they promised us our stuff will get to us with in 5 days, it got to us in 22 days. My husband went to his army base without his uniforms. The mover that came to give us our stuff, told me I have to pay him before I can get my stuff and if not he wouldn't give me my furniture. So I payed him, he unloaded the stuff and started to tell me I owe him more money for 2 stairs(like $300) When I didn't want to give him the money, he took my tv and left my couch out in the rain. He pulled a knife on my brother, things were very very wrong with him! Read everything before singing anything with them they are liars. Don't believe anything they say. This company does not even deserve 1 star. They picked my cubic sq feetcubic sq feet. I then got a bill for the 1800 sq ft. I had to quick find another moving company. Thank god my brother had a friend. Those things were picked up and devolved to me 1000 miles away in 2 days. The items across Country picked up have not all made it. They split it in a warehouse into 2 loads. It's been 21 days and I do not have my things. My $3000. I've has turned in $12000 they are holding my things hostage and I have no more money to give. My on,y happiness was I sent 100 emails today from my phone bombaradinging them with the fact I want my things. Wow a manger called right away. Truly horrendous and scarring experience; Cross Country Moving and Storage, or what ever they say their name is. Said they did extensive back ground checks. My driver showed up 2.25 hours late, mansplained all day. I told him that he would not make it up my steep driveway. Tried anyways and got stuck. He came in side and explained that they had called to get a tow truck to get the truck loose, as the bottom of the truck was on the ground and the bottom wheels were not. The other employee began moving my boxes down to the curb while the other did my paperwork. l hired this company to move me cross country movers sept 5th they were absolutely horrible Ray Phillips was the senior consultant he told me one price the movers came it was $1000 more not only that he said i would get my furniture by the 17th of October it never happened it came acutually a week later I was missing stuff the truck had an accident I was told it was engine trouble this is cross country movers he never picked up the phone to explain why the difference prices. Worst company - should be shut down and reported to the authorities by anyone that uses them. Picked up my family member's stuff on May 15th. It is August 14th and still have not receieved. Have called 41 times, been hung up on 13 times, been told 41 times they would call back with an update - have never received a call or email with any kind of update. Received an email on 7/30/18 saying it would be 1-7 days till delivery. (4 days after their 21 business day legal contract states) 14 days later still no delivery. Have been waiting on delivery since 6/13. Beyond rude and disrespectful people answering the phone who sound like you are waking them up from a nap when calling unless you call and push the # for "new customers" and they are nice because they want your business, but then just connect you to the same team that is rude. So far a terrible experience. They don't appear to actually move you but are a broker and sub out to whoever. In our case Fastlink movers. Just to give you and idea of the move they were literally rolling our boxes down the stairs to speed the move. This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with in 20 years of traveling across the country. This is not even a moving company there are broker that hires other companies to move for them. They promised me I could pay with my company credit card. I went through three different companies and one actually had to be turned away. I had to wait two extra days for them to pick my stuff up. On Super Bowl Sunday, the final driver threatened me to keep my stuff if I did not pay cash. I will never ever use this company or any other company that there is associated with this business. This experience was terribly distressing, even when I was writing this review. I was not fully aware of The Interstate Moving Companies. This group of criminals prospering in this lawful country for many decades: My whole move was involved in three companies. They perform the same pattern as most of the interstate moving companies. It was involved in 3 stages: brokers, movers then delivering companies. Although they are all involved in my move, they deny their connections with each other because they are all crooks performing different parts of these unsanctioned schemes. My moving was involved in to 3 companies: 1. Broker: Cross Country Moving Company, Delray, Florida 2. Movers: Trig Moving and Storage, Burbank, California 3. Delivery: Jonah Frankel at Frankel Van Lines, Brooklyn, NY 11252. November 2020. I was contacted by Neil an agent from Cross Country Moving proposing service to move my households from California to Houston. He sounded decent and professional.. A contract was drafted based on the content of my list. The proposed cost was $1735.22 I signed the contract and paid the first payment of $661.64. Two days before the moving date: I was contacted by Annie to go over my inventory final list of items. The set date of household pick up was 11/18-19. New cost was $1794.71. I signed the updated contract. Movers did not show up on Nov 18. I made several calls, they never called back. A day before my flight, I got a call from a stranger that they will come to pick up my household on my departure day, I could not be there . A friend of mine had to be there on time to watch them moving my households. They came in the evening, coercing my friend to sign a new contract an waivers with the cost increased to $2,764, one thousand dollars increase. The close escrow of my house is in 4 days and I was on the plane. My friend had no choice but signing the papers and paying 2/3 of the new cost so that the movers started working. The next day, I contacted Neil. He apologized and continuously made empty promises. After several weeks of fruitless calls, living in minimal comfort condition for more than a month, spent Christmas in fear of loosing my lifelong belongings. I filed a complain to the office FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Agency). A warning letter based on my complaint was sent out to them on my behalf . This letter had an effect on them. Two weeks later, I received a phone call at 8 PM from this guy name Jonah telling me that he would deliver the household on the next morning at 8AM. They showed up at 8:15 the next morning. Jonah asked me for $1051 cash up front (the last 1/3 of new payment) before he was doing anything else. Said he was not presenting Trig nor Cross Country movers, he did not know them, he only does exactly what was told, if I did not pay, he would unload the truck at a storage somewhere and I would have to pay for all the incurred costs. Again, I was put in a no-other-option situation. I had to pay this illegal 60% increase, in cash so that to receive my house goods. Many items were broken, furniture was torn, and I missed a whole box containing my most irreplaceable items with sentimental values. I contacted them, no replies, of course. The cost of moving to Texas was much bigger than monetary cost. I had many sleepless nights, anxiety, anger and I was totally consumed by the feeling of helplessness. I would not want any of these experiences occur to anybody, even my worse enemies. Please read the complaints carefully and take as many precautions as possible. I will submit this claim to every possible websites, platforms and to the governmental agency. I think we need to work together to end these organized crimes, attacking the singles, the elderly and unaware people. Horrible, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! My antiques were destroyed! How does a wrought iron chair get broken into pieces? Boxes of dishes and glasses destroyed, antique mirror shattered!!! The cost from FL to PA was over $3,000.00, my possessions took 2 weeks to arrive, when the arrival was suppose to be within 7 days! I was in my apartment with nothing for a week. The driver was driving an Enterprise truck, not a moving van. Where did they find these drivers? The driver was VERY RUDE and CARELESS with my belongings. He played his music on his phone during the move. I had a box of designer purses worth over $2,000.00, they never arrived!!! I called and contacted by email numerous times the claims department, we had $10,000.00 worth of insurance with and they offered me a disgraceful amount or $149.80. I told them that was not acceptable and now they will not return my emails and my calls. How can any business get a way with this??? There should be laws against people getting away with this!! I rarely write reviews. I want share my experience so that no one else falls for this moving service company. We hired Cross-country movers for long distance move. Their Sales person Stephanie gave estimates over the phone, pickup guy delayed by one day from scheduled pickup date. We were still fine with it, pickup guy gave us another estimate by looking at our goods, we had no other option than to move forward just paid what they asked. They promised to deliver it soon, but they delivered after 2 weeks. We tried to reach out to them many times, but you can only reach out and talk to their customer care person, they won't give you any others contact numbers. It was really frustrating.finally they have 3 day window for delivery, our good arrived on the 3rd day and delivery person was so rude and difficult to deal with , he wouldnt unload unless we pay the remaining balance, we had it pay it. He asked us more money saying truck couldn't be parked right in front of the home and additional steps. We nogotiated a bit and gave him as a tip. Trust me they are the worst movers I've ever used. This "company" has fake business addresses set up in MD, MN, NJ, and I think now AR. They are a scam company, holding your belongings hostage to get more money. We got suckered by them, and don't want others to. Watch them pack the entire time. We left very briefly and came back to find the truck full and stuff left out. When we finally got our stuff back, it was clear the had left a very large gap in the truck. Report them to the DOT's interstate moving division; fmcs.dot.gov They are required to fill out a Revised Written Estimate on site if the cuft is different than quoted; they most likely did not. They are required by law to do so; that is your best bet against them and to get your stuff back. We did what someone else said in the end; lost our deposit but got our belongings back in a very shady pick up situation. Where so I start with theses crooks! I got a quote from this co through a website and then Juan from their sales team contacted me. He was so nice and gave me lots of information (most of it ended up being lies, like confirmed pick up date, delivery 3 to 4 days!) I asked for a specific pick up date and he said he ghot it approved for the exact date as my apartment rent contact expires that day. Quality assurance calls few days before, very mean and unprofessional added few bucks. I was like whatever. Then they called me a day before and gave me a time for a pick up on the day we agreed. I thought well all looks good. On the day of pick up, They said 3 to 5 Pm my husband had a flight to come to our new home b ut still waited for them till 5:30 but noone showed up. I called and the dispatch and he said they will come in maximum 1 hour as they close. A bit before 6 PM I get a call from the driver saying they can't make it as it will be late and they are tired! I was like I understand but I have to submit the apartment otherwise I will be in trouble with the management company. They did not care. I have been charged a penalty of 185$ as a breach of contract fr my rental. Anyway they came back the second day and I got a call from them saying they have a huge track that can't go in my area !! and I need to pay 200$ for them to come in a smaller truck. Checked with the building they said any truck can load and unload but they did not accept. And they wanted to charge me for wrapping the mattress and the tvs tho this was covered in my contract as I made sure the sales person put it in writing. So I was lilke fine I will pay the 200!. Few days pass I did not hear back. I call and they say no date yet. I said Juan said it will 3 days they said yeah but we did not loaded to the truck yet. So after 12 days from pick up they call and say they will deliver second day. They said 10 to 12 but noone showed up, I called they said in an hour. After 1 hour they call and say we can't deliver in your area we need a small truck for 300! as well Checked with my building said we have all sorts of truck coming here how come they can't deliver.
