JM Movers is by far the best moving company that I have ever used. I don't usually write reviews but I am compelled to tell any and everyone about the unbeatable service I received from all who work there. Let me just paint the picture. I was expecting our first child and with a very complicated pregnancy that left me unable to do practically anything, I needed reliable movers that would give good service that would keep my stress levels at a minimum. After calling several moving companies and after reading reviews; decided to expand my search to make sure that I did not repeat the same miserable experience I had with my last moving company. I even contacted a highly rated and (expensive) moving company that I had used before and was shocked at the lack of follow up they had when I inquired about moving services. I was getting discouraged since I thought if a highly rated and well regarded, tried and true moving company could leave a sour taste in my mouth; what chance would I have of coming across the kind of vendor I needed. In comes JM Movers who had been recommended by a friend's neighbor. From the very first phone call, Antonio was responsive and customer service oriented. He offered to come the next day to see the house and give me an accurate quote. Wow...score. Not only did he come on time but came a couple minutes earlier than we agreed. In all our appointments with JM Movers they were always on time. Very different experience than some other movers I've dealt with who roll in 2 hours after schedule, always with one excuse or another. During our move day (which was a bit complex, since we had to different stop and drop off point) Antonio came with his crew (fresh and ready to work). Again, different from other companies I had worked with that come with tired movers who take multiple breaks and make multiple phone calls. All of the movers were courteous, hard working and diligent. Our move took 10 hours and throughout that time, I never once saw our movers give us less than the best. They did not try to short cut their services and always listened and addressed our needs or concerns along the way. Unlike other movers that I used who do short cut services that they say they will give, JM Movers did the following: -Wrapped our furniture and made sure that all surfaces were covered -Picked up and deposited every box with care -Brought extra packing materials and offered to pack a few fragile items I had not yet gotten to with said materials -Efficient with time - no personal phone calls or major breaks -Broke down and assembled all agreed upon furniture -Left not one scratch, dent, ding, or chip to any furniture they moved I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and felt no stress on moving day (which is a lot to be said from a sick pregnant woman). To top it off, the quote that Antonio gave me (I chose to take a 12 hour fixed quote given the amount of items we needed moved and the various stops needed throughout the day) was under by less than 2 hours which meant that we paid exactly what he quoted us (and not a penny more). JM Movers was a God send this summer and we are hoping to use them for our final move to Florida from the DMV area in the fall. Will update my review to include their services interstate ( which I hear can be a nightmare). Hoping their interstate rate is as reasonable as their local and that their services are what we experienced with them in our last move. Well, I didn't think it was possible, but I just had an amazing moving experience. JM Movers went above and beyond in all areas. Bryan provided fantastic customer support - he was extremely responsive, kept me informed the entire time, answered all of my questions, and assured me in writing about the fixed price and how there were no hidden fees. The movers were exceptional. My move required packing all items since we were already at the destination location (our move was NY to VA). They padded and wrapped everything, had enough supplies, showed up early, worked quickly and efficiently, organized all of my items and kept them organized throughout the entire move, and respected my place and property. I actually arranged my move with another moving company a few days before this move (the other company showed up late, packed literally 5 boxes for the next 4 hours, and then cancelled the move!). JM Movers saved the day. I'm still amazed that a moving company actually showed up early, was respectful, didn't hold my items hostage, charged a fixed fee with no hidden costs, and fulfilled their promise. I'm a bit surprised they don't have many reviews at Yelp. I just had their packing + moving service. Jorge and his team is great! The price is very reasonable for the amount of work they put in. Highly recommended! I run into this company by online search. Google showed many good reviews about them. I also contacted a few another companies for estimation. Jorge came and did an onsite estimate, gave me a flat rate estimate (other companies tend to give me estimates by hourly rate). I compared it with 3 other companies and decided to go with Jorge. They came the day before moving, packed most of the stuff, yet left enough for the family to survive for another day or two. They showed up on time on both packing and moving days. Jorge provided all packing material. Most of them are new. This was included in the flat rate, which is really nice. They even fixed a few pieces of furniture for me. I have utilized over a dozen movers in the last 7 years. Somehow I have needed to move that much within 2 cities and 3 states. When I tell you JM Movers are my 1st 5 star review, you should pay attention!!!! These guys were simply a breeze to work with. I have called them to unload a truck I drove to MD; loaded by other movers. They took the time to correct the sloppy wrapping the other guys did! My items were going into the garage for storage. They paid attention, were timely and extremely fast! I called less than 24 hrs before the move because the original movers I scheduled didn't show, however, their price was better than anyone else I called. Don't hesitate just call them! They are completely awesome; hands down!!! Although I have to make another cross country move, I already gave them heads up that I will be using them. I contacted JM Movers based on some good reviews. I had been planning to retire for some time, and the day for my long-distance move was inexorably approaching. A quick estimate request through their website, and Jorge responded immediately with a flat rate -- no add-ons at any time. He followed up with me over the couple of months prior to the move, and he and his packing crew showed up right on time the day before the move to get everything ready. Day of move, Jorge and the crew showed up right on time, and soon all my belongings were on their way arriving again on time and unloaded quickly and professionally. Jorge and his team are very professional, on time, careful with your belongings, and answer all your questions. This was the best moving experience we've ever had (and we've had some bad ones!) The price was reasonable compared to the large companies, and the quality was just as good if not better. The owner Jorge is a very nice honest guy who was easy to work with. The moving team showed up early, were very thorough in wrapping the furniture, and careful not to hit walls or doorways on the way out. It was an out-of-state move to a storage facility, and they did a masterful job of packing the storage unit. We had considered renting a truck and moving ourselves, but if we had done that, we would have had to rent a second storage unit, because there is no way we could have gotten everything in. Jorge and his team are GREAT! I called him on a very short notice due to an issue with movers I had originally hired (they were unable to come due to truck issues). Jorge had his team out the very next day (on Christmas Eve!!!) and moved me from VA to MD in less than five hours (this includes 1.5hr drive time between residences).
