As I mentioned, we chose to come to The Standard specifically because they had actual food (vs just snack food like many breweries). Unfortunately, we arrived when the kitchen had closed to prep for the aforementioned private party. This meant a significant wait to even place an order for food. We tried to wait, but this was going to be a deal breaker for me; I was starting to feel ill from no food and beer tasting on empty stomach. We had to get up with drink glasses and go chase down water refills. They kept the glasses and about a minute later the waiter walk by with our water glasses and gave them to two other people at a different table. I bought him on the way back by our table and said excuse me but you just gave our water to that table up front. He said oh yes, I did. I suggested he retrieve the 2 glasses of water before they drank out of them. He did do that. Brought them. Back to our table without us knowing if they drank out of our glasses.
