Incredible local brewery! Fun vibe, energy, and great staff that pairs nicely with incredible beers! Love that they experiment but also have a consistent core stock of various beer styles. Love the flight option for sure! They are definitely my FAVE West Coast IPA brewery (F5), and their delicious Grapefruit F5 satisfies! In fact, every IPA I meet has a huge contender: F5. The place is very clean. There is quite a variety of brews to choose from. The bartender is friendly and very attentive. Brewery stickers mean free advertising, especially when they are free! This place is awesome! I love that it's a brewery first and the taproom is through a door on the side in the back. You very much feel like you are a guest in the brewery. So many other, newer, breweries are upscale and trendy with their taprooms. But this is is no non nonsense, completely utilitarian and I love it. I had the Pumpkin Pie Oktoberfest and loved it. It's got all the character of a great Oktoberfest Marzen but with a hint, a subtle hint, of pumpkin pie flavor. I like that it is not over powering. I tried the regular Oktoberfest second and it was great as well. The bar tenders were very friendly and engaging. There is a board to vote for which beer you would like Coop to brew next. There is a pool table and outdoor area. The location is a little out of the way but worth the drive. Do yourself a favor and go! You won't be disappointed! read more

By far, Coop is one of the best, if not the best, brewery in OKC. Their classics, like F5 and DNR, are popular all across the state. But, if you want to try even better Coop beer, you need to make it out to their taproom. It's a bit of a drive, but it's very worth it. On this day, we got a tour of the taproom since I won a giveaway and it was so fun learning about the brewery. They always have brewery-only variations of their classics like their DNR with blackberry and grapefruit F5 that are always so good. Great tap room and facility. We visited during "Board Game Day." There were lots of people that just showed up to play everything from CATAN to Pandemic to Bananagrams. Really fun place. Not only does Coop offer their regular beers on draft, but they get quite creative. I tried a Vanilla and Cinnamon DNR. It tasted like Christmas. There were also beers available with hints of blood orange, coffee, and habanero. If you find one of the specialty beers you like, they will can it up for you in a "crawler" right before your eyes. Very knowledgeable taproom servers. There were about 15 beers on tap to try. We did a couple flights and enjoyed tasting some of the limited release beers (DNR with pomegranate) alongside our favorites (Saturday Siren and Native Amber). We visited on a Saturday evening and were lucky enough to go on a guided tour of the brewery. Our tour guide was great and we enjoyed learning about the beer making/canning process. I don't know why I thought that COOP was located in NE Oklahoma, but I was sure excited to learn that they are just down the street from the airport on council and SW 44th; totally rocking! Such a great location tucked nice a cozy in a little business zone. The bar is really cute and they had a bunch of seasonal beers on tap along with their original brews. I sampled the Chai, orange cinnamon, wake up and Reese's, gran sport, native amber, and F5. I've had the F5 before, so I knew what I was getting, but having it at the brewery made me spin. The Chai was very spiced and had a common fall-like flavor associated with the season such as nutmeg and cinnamon. The orange cinnamon was very good, but I couldn't taste much orange or cinnamon in it. Wake up and Reese's was yumz, but I was hoping for a strong peanut butter taste. The gran sport was excellent, but the native Amber and F5 were my favorites; I love hoppy beer. I'm probably going to get a hop plant, because I love the smell of fresh hops. Mmmmmm The staff was very hospitable and knowledgable. Loved the tour and all of the details about the different equipments. The barrel room was by far the best room; it smelled so good and I am so looking forward to try the persimmon beer if it gets out. There were some other barrel beers that sound new and great too. They have an outdoor area that sounds very nice, but I didn't check out. read more

Don't let the slight drive fool you--this is the best brewery in OKC. Stopped in on a Saturday to try the taproom release of Fly Me Away IPA, and the experience was awesome. Coop produced a one-off version of Fly Me Away with pineapple and lactose that was too sweet for me, but the original was freaking fantastic. The throwback airlines can is legit too. Came here for their stout night, they had tons of options! Small place with somewhat limited seating but they also had an outdoor area, we didn't explore much since it was a bit cold that night. We ended up trying every single one of their stouts, lots of cool unique flavors offered but none that we liked enough to bring home. We also found it odd that our friends who ordered less beers than us got charged more than we did. Our 10 beers cost $32 but their 8 beers cost $36, maybe I was missing something. Overall decent experience, tons of beers, I'll have to stop by again soon. read more

I've never really considered myself much of a beer drinker, let alone a connoisseur of the stuff. That said, though, I had a ball touring the facility, and (consider this high praise indeed) I usually hate tours in general. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and unafraid to let us ask for samples. My other half was fond of the porter he tried, but I was fonder of the Chai Spice. (Yes, it sounds really dreadful, but it's actually really good.) We ended up spending way more money than we'd intended to, but I'm glad we did, as we now have more than enough beer and ale to last us well into the summer of 2018. (We have a lot of guests in our home, and Lord knows that half of them are alcoholics.) The other things I love about this business? I love how it constantly gives back to the community, and how it concentrates on sane, sustainable business practices. It's nice to see that good people and fair business practices still exist in the ugliness that is Donald Trump's Amerika. I plan to take my sister-in-law and brother-in-law here for a tour next time they visit from Kansas City, as I'm sure that both will have fun with us here. One of my favorite tap rooms in OKC. A good place to go if you are picking up someone from the airport in the evening (they are only open 4 to 8) and hope their flights a little late. Great beers several that are not available elsewhere. I loved the Imperial Stout and even took home a couple of bottles. The bartender was very helpful and offered a taste of several beers. Their commitment to the local home brewing community has been great from the beginning and their annual party (in March is a must if you love beer) has raised over $25,000 for the local Human Society for years. My only complaint: it would be nice to have a bar rail, but don't let that discourage you. Enjoy read more

I love Coop. It doesn't help it's a stone's throw away from the hacienda. Coop serves up fun and brews in their taproom with outdoor yard area -perfect for relaxing, corn hole and food trucks. I greatly appreciate the bar staff for their knowledge and assistance in selecting a pint or two. Coop's beer selection range from ale to IPA and amber/dark to high ABV (DNR). Yes, Do Not Resuscitate. Just hope they can stick around in an odd area of OKC without having to move somewhere downtown. read more

We attended the Oktoberfest Release and had a great time! There are many COOP beers out there in restaurants & stores, but you can only get the "special" ones (new or one-time releases, small batches, etc.) @ the taproom. My new favorites on tap are the Pumpkin Spiced Oktoberfest, Pilot Batch Problems - Tart Fruit Ale & Id No 7 (Sour)! You can always get a taster of any beers you are interested in and the brewtenders are very knowledgeable so can help you make the right selections, or try a flight of 4 beers to help you decide. The taproom is casual and somewhat dark, but in a good way. There are many tall tables, bar w/stools and a comfy seating area with couches. There's a big TV as well for games, etc. The "backyard" lawn area has numerous picnic tables, cornhole boards & there is usually a foodtruck in residence - currently bratwursts because....Oktoberfest! The crowd was lively, but conversation still possible. It's a bit off-the-beaten-path (near the airport), but well worth the drive! They will have a location near the Capitol soon! read more

I have honestly been in Austin too long--I ordered this beer at a local pub and called it "co-op." It is actually just coop... as in chicken coop. OKC is doing a fantastic job in keeping the craft brew world lively in this state so stricken with horrendous regulations and policies. This specific institution has not been in the bizz too specifically long, but I really enjoy what they are bringing to the realm of booze. The Amber was quite good. It is crisp and clean with a hint of complexity nipping at you, with all aspects sort of getting balanced by the hops galore. You would do well to drink one of these fine beverages, which are higher than 3.2% ABV, mind you, whenever you can get your hand on a pint. Their offerings can be found in a lot of assorted bars around town, and there will undoubtedly be a great experience to follow--with 6.3% ABV and all. :) read more

Was I pleasantly surprised once I arrived. The COOP reps were gracious, generous and knowledgeable - clearly love what they do - as they shared the story of how the brewery was born and works and has grown (understandably). I love Coop. They were pretty much first on the scene for the OKC brewing market and definitely established themselves as a front runner then. Now there are many other options in OKC but Coop remains true to form. In order to get the full experience you have to go to the brewery to try their creative modifications to their standard brews. I mostly find myself enjoying COOP beers out and about, but it was really nice visiting the tap room recently. I hadn't been in a couple years, and I was happy to see the improvements to the space. The taps include all of the COOP favorites with plenty of room to feature the specialty and seasonal brews. There is also a lounge area with a TV. All of the staff are very personable and willing to help you pick out the best beers for your taste. Very disappointed in my attempt to try this place... Google says you guys are open on Thursdays (9-5 I believe)*, so I went out there and they are close, but no big deal. I ask one of the workers there when they are open and I was told Friday and Saturday. So I come back the next day and... there is a sign saying they are closed because of a beer festival... Of all the beers COOP gifted OKC with I would say I have 2 favorites, the F5 IPA which is Amazing as far as a big HOP IPA goes, this isn't a small IPA at all. I would leverage it against any of the "big boys" in Craft Beer. I liked it so much I have it in my Kegerator. Next would be the Gran Sport Porter. Most Porters seem to have a nice quick finish while COOP brings a bit more to the table with their version. Once you drink it you still have this warm toasted flavor in your mouth that begs for more. Pair it with some freash donuts at RePUBlic Gastropub if you in are in town. You can not go wrong. Of course the Native Amber is always a great ale, plus the seasonal Territorial Stout is a great one as well. If you are into Belgian style beers try the DNR, but don't let it fool you grab to many and you will be searching for a comfortable couch. read more

I've been to many breweries and love the unique way they play with and display their beer selection. They have a handful of base beers (above the bar) and then they play with them by adding dry hops or fruit (below the bar). Once you get there and see it, it will make more sense. Super friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff, they were eager and excited even to have us taste their beers. You can tell they were proud of their product and they should be, we loved the beer. read more
