Perhaps we came on a bad day, but the vibe was just off for me. We came shortly after opening on a Sunday. Only one other person there. Did not get a sense of welcome from the one staff person present. My husband thought the beer was alright though. The one game we pulled out had tons of missing cards. They have large selection of T Shirts for sale. Games to play while enjoying your beverage. Great place to relax. Large outdoor patio. Would be a great place for a party. I had a couple Thunder Punch cocktails it was delicious. Bill had a couple IPA's he really enjoyed. Also snacked on a couple bags of pretzels the Dill Pickle & Everything they were both delicious. Really good beer! I believe there is only one person working most of the time, but the service is adequate. You do have to go up to the bar to order, but that's the same for most other breweries. The only thing I wish is that they had more shaded areas on their patio and a few more comfy couches/chairs. I LOVE LIVELY BREWERY! The staff is great and always helpful. With all the breweries around I find that Lively is hands down one of the top breweries. The TML is by far my favorite beer they have made. The beers were very good and it was a casual, comfortable place. There were several beers that were "cream" based and they all sounded heavenly. I recall stating out loud that "surely those can't be as good as they sound." Spoiler alert: 2 out of 3 were as good as my rather high expectations and there was some disagreement in my group as to what was the best. So they were all probably good. There was a definitive cream flavor, without it being too much of a dessert drink and/or too little of a cream presence. The stouts were strong, as advertised, with their baseline being a good contrast to the "fruitier options." Out of the seven or so we tried, I think there was only one I didn't like. Of course, the beer was doing it's job, so I can't quite recall which. read more

Well this was a nice surprise. Super friendly staff and gave great suggestions. They had 4 stouts to choose from! Yes!! Normally places have 1 or 2 and stouts are my jam so this was a nice surprise. My favorite ended up being The MAX which was a sour. It had great flavor and was refreshing. The Holidy stout had great flavor notes as well. They were out of their vanilla stout, but will just have to hold that for next time. The place was very clean, nice, and had an open layout. My new favorite brewery in town. This place follows a lot of the newer brewery design: it's very minimalist with a simple bar and simple tables. It's very clean and comfortable too. The taps are rotating so you have great variety at Lively. They do some interesting beers too, last time I was there (2 days ago) they had a funnel cake cream ale that was very unique. For the fall/winter they've added a few stouts that are also outstanding. Their Mexican Lager is a classic, as are their IPA brews. Lively, like a lot of breweries, will work with local restaurants to have trucks or other food for order while you are hanging out. And, it's always good stuff, no random sub sandwiches or just a huge basket of fried chicken. The available cuisine is diverse and good quality. OKC has gone through a brewing renaissance in the last several years. We have a ton of new breweries and a lot are around the downtown area. These new places have some good to great beer options. What sets Lively apart is the quality, diversity of brews, the knowledge of the staff, and the regulars. I don't go near often as a lot of regulars, and I am already starting to recognize many faces after several visits. When you have that kind of loyalty so quickly, it speaks volumes. This was our last stop of 4 breweries and we left very confused. While I can appreciate the minimalist aesthetic, the decor, logo, furniture, swag- all feel more like you're in a waiting room at a new age spa than a brewery. I think it's great that there's a changing table in the restroom, the whole flamingo/macrame plant vibe had me scratching my head. I wish I could say that the beer made up for it, but they just weren't good. Lively's taproom is a newcomer in the neighborhood to the OKC craft beer scene. Their flagship IPA and lager are solid beers, so I was excited to see them open a taproom. I also really enjoyed the "Hell Ale" when I visited, while I thought their Imperial IPA was a bit too bitter for my tastes, but that's just me. The lovely lady serving us was so kind and friendly! They provided some complimentary goldfish to snack on and a few brewery pins - which I collect! -, but I found the taproom itself to be a bit lacking. White walls, although surrounded with ambient natural light, gave it a bit of a sterilized feel. There were also a pair of lounge seats right by the door, which I thought was a bit odd. I hope that they start incorporating some more decoration into the space. I can see huge possibility for getting some local art into the space since they're so adjacent to the arts district! read more

We go to Lively Beerworks nearly every week for Trivia Night. We hang out with friends and answer trivia questions. Typically, we are in the middle, although we have been second or third several times. They have made some changes lately - the artwork on the walls change, the building has been repainted, they stopped serving food from a nearby restaurant, and the bartender is different. They also do Pizza Mondays and have a boozy slushy machine. I wish they would just serve food. They are losing so much money by having people bring in their own meals. They did try, I guess, but $8 for a little plastic container of cheese cubes and sliced pita doesn't cut it. I can keep getting take out or bringing a salad. Lol! Then again I come from the old school, where we drove to Texas for decent beer on the weekends instead of having to drink 3.2 I would highly recommend the grapefruit IPA, and keep an eye out for food trucks or pop up kitchens. Finally got to check out Lively! I love that it's nestled into a part of OKC that will continue to grow, and bridges the gap between Scissortail and the Farmers Market districts. I'm sure this hidden gem will continue to gain momentum. We sat on the patio on a lovely Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a couple rounds of beer. The space is open and inviting; plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They had a Filipino food truck which was a nice lunchtime treat. The beer itself was great! I love when breweries offer a good variety. Lively had about 15 beers on tap, ranging from summertime lagers and IPAs to richer stouts and Belgian strong ales. I hope they rotate often because I love coming back to a brewery and finding something new to try! And I *will* be back! read more

My husband and I decided to try out Lively Beerworks one Saturday afternoon. I had tried their beer at a restaurant pre-Covid and decided to give the brewery a try. Walking in the brewery is styled in a minimalist motif. We sat at the counter and were happy to see a variety of different styles. I am always the adventurous type with my beer selection, so I decide to dive in and try the recommendation of the staff. The beer I selected was very tasty and my husband agreed that his beer was a good choice. The staff was very knowledgeable. This is one of my top 3 breweries in OKC. It should be on any serious beer lover's stops of breweries in the area. The only reason I did not give the brewery 5 stars is the atmosphere. The taproom atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous and bright. The beertenders and staff are welcoming, engaging, and always make the experience a great one. I really appreciate the diversity of their menu at all times. I love that they run a recurrent Lively Lab Series of experimental brews and one offs.
