A few months ago I went on a run with a friend of mine and as we pushed and challenged each other she asked me if I would like to go to her CrossFit gym for a workout one day. Well, I didn't want to look like a baby so I obviously said yes. The days before going into Yeti Cave CrossFit I didn't know what to expect, from what I had heard at the time CrossFit gyms were apparently "dangerous" and too "intense." But when the day finally came for my first workout session at Yeti Cave my suspicions were soon diminished. My first day there I was greeted by amazing people from all walks of life who all support and want whats best for each other, I was also greeted by the owner Nate Seitz. No matter who you ask at Yeti Cave they will all tell you how magnificent Nate Seitz is. He can teach and train people at all skill levels and genuinely cares about each individual and their progress in Yeti Cave and in Life. The guy is literally a modern day Yoda. Something else that is offered at Yeti Cave CrossFit is Boot Camp classes. These classes are perfect for people who are looking for a fun work out while burning fat and building muscle at the same time. These workouts feature more basic movements for beginners but still push you due to the wonderful boot camp coaches teaching the class. All in All Yeti Cave CrossFit is more than just a CrossFit gym, it is a community filled with amazing people coached by people who care and led by a man passionate about it all Nate Seitz. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Yeti Cave. I've been attending Yeti for a little over a year now and there to stay. What I enjoy most is the variety of workouts, I don't always feel like lifting heavy weights or reaching a personal best 1 rep max. There's always an alternative workout if you'd rather sweat and do a more cardio based workout. They just recently added a high intensity boot camp style of workouts that are my new favorite. I addition to the great workouts, I don't think you'll encounter a more knowledgeable and genuine coach than Nate Seitz. Proper form and the safety of your body are more important to him than you beating the clock. I also like that it's not overly testosterone driven with a bunch of guys lifting heavy weights and slamming them down on the floor, then looking around to see who witnessed their glorious feat. (If you've ever been to any run of the mill gym you know what I'm talking about). You'll find super elite fit athletes and beginners working out in just about every class. The team workouts on Saturdays are a ton of fun also. I appreciate Nate and his staff for being awesome everyday. It's hard and exhausting being on stage for as many hours of classes they have, but they always do it with a smile. It's tough being new to town. And Colorado being my fourth state in five years didn't make that any easier. But I figured I needed a new start, mentally and definitely physically. The last few months had not been kind to Harry. At first I was very hesitant on the whole CrossFit thing. I had heard from multiple sources that it could be very "culty". The CrossFit athletes I did know were super-human regional athletes, which did not help negate that stigma. However, one afternoon I decided to call (It went straight to Coach Nate's personal cell) and got myself into a fundamentals class the next evening. Without a doubt, the journey Yeti Cave CrossFit has/is currently taking me on is the healthiest thing I have done for myself since being a collegiate athlete six years ago. First and foremost, the community at Yeti Cave is second to none. We come in all shapes and sizes, backgrounds, ethnicities and social statuses. Us Yeti's are there for one common goal: Live More. Move More and Win The Week. A motto which we have all definitely taken to heart. I have gone from being totally alone to having a family full of healthy, fitness focussed badasses who push me to be my absolute best, everyday. I seriously love this place. Nate the gym owner and all of the coaches are so knowledgeable and kind, you can tell they really enjoy what they do. I just hit a year of working out at Yeti Cave and there are movements I am able to do now, weights that I am able to lift, that a year ago I would not have imagined I could. I've reached goal after goal because of the way Nate operates the gym, he invests time into each persons successes. Every workout is tailored to each individual, which makes it accessible for anyone, whether you are coming in after a 5 year hiatus from working out or are lifting competitively. There may be a class of ten people doing the same essential workout and all ten could be approaching it in a way that best fits their fitness level and keeps them safety practicing complex movements- this is because the coaches offer modifications for all exercises. As full-time bartender in a college town, my sleep schedule is totally opposite most of the world around me and I'm constantly surrounded by booze and drunk 20-somethings. I've struggled for years to find a workout regimen that really grasped my attention. Rugby, Golf, Soccer, Volleyball, Running, etc. None of it stuck. Then, in 2016, my friend/coworker and I joined the Yeti Cave. We were two of the first people to join the gym! The cardio intensity, new skills, and strength training is tough! I am still challenged every single day, even after a year into the crossfit world, but the rush of accomplishment and strength I feel afterwards is so rewarding! Finally, something that keeps me coming back, day after day, and feeling the best I've felt in years. You can do this at any level of fitness because Nate Seitz is an excellent trainer/coach and tailors the workout to your level...and the progress has been quick for me! Each session is like being personally trained as every exercise is first taught, and then overseen at every fitness level...Nate is phenomenal at coaching form (from beginner to stud) and making sure everything is correct to avoid improper form, and potential injury. I have leanred a ton about fitness, weights, mobility, functional movement and body tempering. Super fun, challenging workouts...no boredom in this gym! All the equipment is brand new, which is nice. The people I've met here are amazing...this is definitely a super fun community in itself. We are a big mix of people at all ages and skill levels who want to be fit and love to have fun! It's been almost a year since I've joined Yeti Cave, and I can't imagine working out anywhere else. Nate and his entire support staff are absolutely amazing, each one doing their best to make you feel comfortable and confident in every workout you do. Having never done CrossFit or really doing any kind of weight lifting in my earlier years, I was definitely intimidated by working out with such physically fit people. However I quickly realized that everyone in this gym was just like me, having started this particular style of workout later in life. Everyone is encouraging and has a "Oh I remember when I couldn't do that! But I PROMISE it will click and you will get it"-story. Owner/Coach Nate Seitz is as good as it gets. Whether you are brand new to CrossFit or have years of experience, you will have a hard time finding someone who focuses on the fundamentals and proper technique as well as he does. This is a great community with all ranges of fitness levels, and everyone is able to get a great workout and still work on areas they need to improve every single day. Very welcoming gym, active members go out of their way to make you feel included and make sure you are getting the most out of you visit. Cannot recommend this gym enough. If you are lucky you might even get a chance to meet Apollo the gym's mascot as well! Give it a shot if you are ever in the area or are looking for a new place to test your fitness! read more

I have only been at YetiCave for less than a year but before that I have never done CrossFit so like everyone else it's pretty intimidating the stuff you hear. I had a friend that went to YetiCave and invited me to one of her competitions. Moral of the story is I knew I wanted to join when I left, I truly loved the support Coach Nate gave them as they competed, it felt like they were all family. Not too long after I joined the gym and have been going ever since. I enjoy having the workout ready for me when I get there as well as always being greeted with joy as I walkthrough the door. I was very skeptical about CrossFit. Nate completely changed my mind and I've fallen in love with Yeti Cave and CrossFit over the past few months. The minute I walked through the door I was greeted by a member that made sure I was welcomed since I was new to the gym. Nate has created an amazing atmosphere where people come to be encouraged, to laugh, to play, and to get fit. I was immediately made to feel an equal at the gym regardless of my abilities or how long I'd been going. Nate and the other coaches takes time with each individual to make sure they are using the proper form, they are safe, and they are working toward their potential. I have been going to Yeti for about 6 months now, and what keeps me getting up and out the door is the community that is built around the gym lead by Nate Seitz. He oozes positivity and it's infectious. Not only that, his other trainers follow in his footsteps and keep that momentum moving. Even in the early hours. Like most, I have a few minor previous injuries, but I'm never frightened about going into a workout. I know I will get enough modification to the exercises to accommodate. I put off going to Yeti Cave for months before a friend talked me into trying a workout. Although I felt like I was going to die, I wanted more. Yeti Cave has changed my life! I feel great and have lost almost 30 lbs. My wife has jumped on board too. Coach Nate and all of the coaches are amazing and make it easy to come to the gym every day! Best box in Fort Collins! I've been doing Crossfit for awhile but got out of shape when I moved up here. Was nervous to get into it again with a group I didn't know. Cool fun place to work out. Great coaching and community. Coaches do a fantastic job of scaling the workout to your ability, so everyone feels welcome and part of the workout no matter their fitness level.
