CrossFit OYL quite literally changed my life. I honestly wasn't looking for a gym, just wanted to do something to supplement running. I started taking a class with Bloom Women's Fitness and at first that felt like enough. Until I injured my back playing on a playground with my daughter. When I made it back to the gym, my coach, Christine Wilson, told me to start going heavier with the weights and it wasn't long after that that I joined CrossFit OYL and instantly loved it. I now can carry and play with my kids with ease. The moment that made me realize all the morning workouts were worth it, was hearing my daughter say "Mommy, you are so strong!" The coaches here have helped me realize I can do far more than I ever thought I could. And the community - that I never thought I needed, just like I didn't think I needed a gym - is the most amazing part of it all!! I've been a member of OYL CrossFit for a year and a half, and it's been one of the best fitness experiences I've ever had. What truly sets this gym apart is the community and the coaches. Can not say enough good things! I have been a member for almost 2 years and this place has been life changing. 1. Cleanliness. Box is always clean, w a dedicated focus on wiping down equipment, etc 2. Coaching. Simply the best. Great at motivating, yet compassionate and caring. Able to see and coach on the fly, helping to push you, while also suggesting better strategies to employ. 3. Accountability. Amazing. These people actually care, and are fully vested with their clients. Nutrition, recovery, workouts, and community. The whole package. 4. Price. Commiserate with other crossfit boxes. Yeah, it's more than 24 Hr Fitness or Planet Fitness, but you get what you pay for. Ferarris cost more than Pintos. Give em a shot. You wont regret it. read more

I've been a member at OYL for just over 3 months and I couldn't be happier. Unlike most do-your-own-workout-at-your-own-pace gyms, OYL is organized into classes led by friendly and knowledgeable coaches that somehow make you feel like you're receiving 1-on-1 training. Except you get the camaraderie from a group workout, which actually makes it better than personal training. I love it; I look forward to getting up at some ungodly hour every morning and getting out the door. There's no other way I'd rather start my day. THE BEST OF THE BEST!! I've been a member of OYL since May 2021. I was struggling with home workouts and needed a change. It was a huge leap of faith for me, but I have to say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made! The coaches are well trained and knowledgeable, and they can help you start at ANY LEVEL. The owner, coaches, and members are so friendly and inviting. I didn't know what to expect when I stepped into CrossFit OYL for my first workout a few months ago. What I quickly learned is that the coaches are not only highly knowledgeable, they're kind, attentive, and they'll push you to be the best version of yourself while keeping you safe. I've never been a person who enjoys group classes, but now I can't workout without my community who is always encouraging me to finish strong. I enjoy coming to CrossFit OYL everyday. It's part of my routine and I feel "off" without it. The people, community, and coaches all work so hard together to make it feel like a close knit family. Moved out into the Rhome area about 3years ago and dropped in to OYL to check it out. The facility is clean, well maintained with top of the line equipment. Coaches/owners John and Mike take great pride of offering family friendly facilities and have been doing a great job expanding the business.
