Staying at a hotel in Parsipanny NJ for the weekend, I needed to find a gym/box where I can do a CrossFit workout as a drop-in. So happy I found this place. About 15 min ride from the hotel. Just dropped into a class this morning. 1) they have Sunday classes which is very unique and super fitting for me today. 2) the coach Leonardo is a great coach. He takes time To educate and makes sure everyone is using proper form. More importantly he is there cheering you on. If you live in the area JOIN, if you are visiting drop in. Well worth it. I started crossfit at Veracity a couple of years ago and it was here that I was given the foundation to succeed, learning how to perform each of the Olympic lifts the right way. Each coach is consistent in their approach to making sure everyone understands the workout and doesn't get hurt. However each coach brings his or her own passion to the head of the class. From Meghan to Pat to Will to Jarred to Leo. All are inspiring in their own way. Leo's programming of the WODs each week brings a special level of precious torture to the activity. I joined CrossFit Veracity two years ago, and I am extremely proud to be part of this family. Thanks to all the instructors, I learned the foundation to succeed and push the best of me in every workout. As I began the process to become a police officer, I dedicated even more by attending every class and even participating at Amanda's running program during the summer. But it wasn't only until I found myself down at the NJ State Police Academy that I realized how all of this time doing crossfit was helping me through the academy. Our physical training sessions were intense, running 4-5 miles on a daily basis, on top of all the calisthenics workouts. This is the best CrossFit gym around. The coaches set this place above all the rest. They take great pride into teaching and coaching better performance on an individual level. You must give it a try. New to crossfit? That's ok. We all started because we wanted to be healthier. Getting a little stronger, more balance, or learning that you can do more than you think in your everyday life is the reason most of us keep coming back. This "box" (aka gym) is the newest of The Truth in Fitness group. The gear is all new and well maintained. The coaches and other gym members make this a fun and friendly environment that is very conducive to self improvement. Crossfit Veracity is a wonderful organization providing top notch coaching to athletes of all level of fitness. It allows you to work at your own pace and your own strength level, while coaches provide feedback and adjust your form to ensure you are working out properly without injury. The staff is a joy to be around, and the facility is excellent. The class times fit even the most difficult schedules. I've been attending classes for nearly two years, approximately 4-5 times a week. I've lost 25 pounds, and tacked on a ton of muscle. I'm in the best shape I've been in years, and have picked up so many friends a long the way. The staff is supportive, attentive, and quick to assist with any questions. Stopped by CF Veracity on Thanksgiving morning and had a fantastic time there. I workout of the NYC CF so Leonardo and the team let me stop by for free, which was extremely kind. And after the workout, I would definitely return as a paying customer if I lived in the area. The warmup/stretching was more up to yourself than led, but afterwards we did a nice weighted warmup that allowed people to meet each other. I met a fellow CF who I shared equipment during the workout, which was nice. The facility was great, very spacious and clean. There were two levels to workout in, which was a little odd but allows for a lot of people to participate. We had 30+ people and didn't have any issues with equipment. The instructors were great and helpful scale the workout. We did a Hero workout, uncommon but tough. It was a nice change from the common Hero workouts like Murph. Great expierience, nice facilities, would definitely return. read more

Did the WOD on a drop-in as I was in town on business. Leo (owner and one of coaches) was proactive in answering my pre-WOD questions via e-mail. I was very surprised at the gym- it had the standard high quality Crossfit stuff but is not in a store front or an old warehouse- it is in a converted small office building and is very cool. The workout was condensed (50 min) and exceptional- with a guided warmup and then a WOD. Leo provided great feedback both positively and negatively- not the common Crossfit mistake of implicitly encouraging everyone to "do the Rx weight". Leo had me step down my weights and with great effect. I will definitely look up CrossFit Veracity again when in town. read more

i have been going to Crossfit Veracity for 3 years! I have never lasted at any gym this long. Why? The workouts, the people, and the coaches. Every day the WOD(workout of the day) is different, never boring. I am stronger, faster, and in the best shape of my life at 44 years old. My husband started about a year ago and my kids started the crossfit teens class recently and all love it as well. I have been a member of Crossfit Veracity for 4 years starting at the ripe age of 50. It was not as intimidating as I thought it would be. I can honestly say Crossfit IS for everyone especially since you have options on modifications that would make a daunting WOD doable. Options are always available because it is an encouraging environment not a discouraging one. The coaches are especially sensitive to this. There is a bit of friendly ( and I mean friendly) competition that makes it a joy to come to every time. I am in better shape now than when I was in my 20s. I may not progress as fast as the young'uns but I progress none-the-less. I have also be-friended a bunch of really nice people over the years. They are the best cheerleaders! It has been amazing to see everyone's body change over time. I still get butterflies before each workout...but that's a GOOD thing. read more
