Just signed a contract today for my generator, so I thought I would write a review (something I…read morerarely do) about my experience. I talked with neighbors and studied online before choosing 3 local companies to get quotes from and deal with in personal visits to my home. No reason to be negative about the others, but suffice to say the rep from Generator Super Center was not well-informed, Gen Pro's was well-informed, but spent a lot of time "talking down" his competition and refused to quote me on the generator I asked to learn about. I later called him personally, his company twice, and was told the sales manager would get with me (I simply had a question about model numbers they quoted) - I am still waiting for a return call from anyone. Both were much more expensive in their quotes than Grasten for exactly the same things (I requested). Grasten was represented by Tyler Dias, who did an excellent job in every aspect from start to finish. He also quoted me the generator I asked for, then was willing (when I called him) to give a second quote, then a third as I gravitated from Generac to Cummins and finally decided on Kohler. Grasten's pricing was well below the other two, which is why I was able to afford the more quality product in Kohler (with their hydraulic lifters) and avoid the lawsuits and apparent poor quality and tendencies to ignore warranty claims (Generac) and the oft-mentioned slow service related to parts "lack of availability" in the second (Cummins). So, I'm thrilled to recommend Tyler in every way, Grasten in every aspect so far. I'll add a "complete" report once the generator gets installed. Good luck in your search!

Brandon Tillery was nothing but a fast talker throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the confidence he displayed did not translate into making sure the job was actually done correctly. The installation was not properly completed or verified, and I was left with a brand-new generator that has experienced serious issues almost immediately after installation. For a $14,000 investment, I expected a properly installed, fully operational Generac generator--not a $14,000 paperweight sitting in my yard. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have repeatedly attempted to get the issues resolved, yet Generator Supercenter has failed to provide an adequate resolution. I should not have to fight this hard to get a brand-new system operating properly after spending this kind of money. A company should stand behind its installation and its customers. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Until Generator Supercenter takes responsibility and actually resolves these problems, I cannot recommend them to anyone considering a whole-home generator. What's even more concerning is the lack of adherence to proper processes and procedures. Shortcuts were clearly taken, and as a result, I was left without a fully functioning product. Instead of ensuring everything was installed and operating correctly, they hold the usability of the generator hostage by refusing to "activate" it until full payment is made--regardless of whether the system is actually working as intended. Blaze was the least expensive and by far the best and most thorough quote I received. Outstanding value for money. Kevin was honest, completely transparent, and gave me the sense that he wanted what was best for my home and my family, rather than just making a quick sale. He got me installed within a week or two (other places wanted me to wait 2+ months), and the crew he sent was first class. One nice thing about Blaze is that they do not contract out their installation work. They have five full-time crews that have all worked for them for years. They left my house and yard looking better than when they arrived! Everything was put back perfectly, which is pretty amazing when you consider the amount of work involved in installing a generator like this. In short, I cannot say enough good things about Kevin and Blaze Generators. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone.

The last 2 storms all generator company's has been busy servicing and selling generators. After getting some quotes I decided on working with A&A Genpro the entire process was great and exceeded my expectations. The installers are very professional and hassle-free. We had a sales person (Matt) came for an estimate for standby home generator on April 30, 2026. We…read moresigned the contract and paid for a deposit with credit card. We applied for their Synchrony Bank payment plan with no interest for 18 months. After sales guy left I checked the location of the proposed area and saw that there is a vent there. I called and emailed him. He said he didn't know what type of vent but the generator is vertically 5' away from the vent and 5' away from a window. However, the generator is NOT 5' horizontally from the vent. We also told GenPro sales guy it takes 30 days for HOA approval. GenPro emailed us the estimate on May 5. I applied for permit with HOA on May 5 after talking to sales guy and receiving his drawn in generator in my pictures that I sent him. Meanwhile I emailed our builder (May 3) and independent home inspector (May 6) to find out what type of vent is near the proposed location. We thought the fresh air intake vent is on the roof. It took them a few days and we received replies on May 6. They confirmed that it is the fresh air intake vent. So when the generator emits carbon monoxide it would travel approximately 59-60" up into the fresh air intake. Yes I took into account the concrete pad and the top of the generator. I measured the vertical distance from the height of the generator to the bottom of the vent. On May 6, their install team emailed and said they would do installation on May 18. I told GenPro to hold off on everything as I am waiting for HOA approval and I am not comfortable with the proposed location and need to do more research. This was the same day I received replies from builder and home inspector. GenPro then sent a field supervisor to my house on May 8 to answer questions. He said GenPro would move the location further along the wall and we would not have to pay for the extra electrical and gas trenching cost. This would mean there is about 20' between the generator and AC where we can't push the lawnmower in. We have a narrow lot. We do not feel this is best for us. In addition when time comes replacing the AC unit would have to be lifted above the generator. There is no gate on the side with the AC and proposed generator. Meanwhile Synchrony Bank charged us 50% of the balance on May 1 (over $6,000). I received an email of the CC balance on the account and it is due 6-2-2026. I did not receive the Synchrony credit card in the mail until May 11 and have not even activated the credit card. I have emailed GenPro on May 11 to cancel, request deposit refund and charge back to the Synchrony amount. I have not heard from them. BEWARE of this company. The sales team just cared about making the sale. If I had not questioned the proposed location GenPro would have installed the generator at a location that is UNSAFE and possible leading to death. No qualms with the work quality or service, just wish the diagnostic/service-call pricing was made clearer up front.
