    Charcuterie Board

Great beer, great food and great atmosphere. Definitely a place to stop while in Prince George for all of the above. Tried the charcuterie board that was good. Meat was yummy, but the cheese seemed a little plain and not anything special. Pretzel platter was amazing along with the olives and pizza. Would definitely go back! Oh and the beer was the true star of the show.

My vist to this beautiful town would be forgotten easily if i had not visited this modern restaurant with an in built fresh brewery . I dont drink beer but i envy of how beer strike friendship between people from all spheres of life. It has a seperate section for fresh lager serving or take away kind of thing. Beer lovers bring their refillable beer botles and get them to brim. Wow . Just go to the counter, select what you like and pay for it. Just like buying wine at a wineshop. I sat alone and enjoyed a fresh chicken breast with vegetables. Wholesome and tasty meal . Servers are well versed with the skill of alcohol handling. All were wearing masks, seating area divided by glass panels thay goes synchronized with the interiors of the restaurant. Interesting desert to try is root beer float ( vanila bean ice cream in root beer)

We were introduced to this place by a friend who lives in the city, and we are glad we went. The atmosphere is really good, they have very rustic and eclectic decor. Aside from regular tables they also provide high bar top seating as well as an outdoor patio. We ordered a few things on their menu to sample and to go with our beer flights. The food was good, we shared a pizza, nacho, charcuterie board and wings. They have many different types of beer and craft beer on tap which was nice to try. The pizza had a nice crust, good amount of topping ratio, and the nachos were super cheesy. The wings could use a bit of improvement, as they were lukewarm when we got them. Our server was really attentive throughout the evening. I accidentally made a mess by knocking over a glass of my beer from my beer flight. They not only cleaned it up but also poured me a new glass. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves that evening and I can see this being a great hang out for locals and especially when a game is on. Will definitely go back when we visit Prince George again.

Cheese duo panini and pulled pork sandwich

Came here for lunch with my toddler and husband. My husband enjoyed their seasonal Dark Vader black lager. He really enjoyed it. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the cheese duo panini. The tomato soup was amazing! We also really enjoyed their coleslaw. My husband and I both aren't fans of Mac salad but it wasn't awful. Our toddler munched on our food along with the soft pretzel. The cheese sauce with the pretzel has a really good flavor. Service was friendly and fast. No dedicated kids menu but our kid still enjoyed the food we picked out. Would recommend!

Looking for a great place to kick back some cold craft beer and tasty "pub grub?" Then look no further than Crossroads. Located in the heart of downtown PG, this place is lively, bright and fresh. The staff is friendly, the beers easy going and the pizza is outstanding! I tried a flight of four "you-pick-'em" beers from their menu of local craft favorites. They come in a generous portion and ice cold. Can't remember which ones exactly, but I know there was a citrusy ale, a smoky German beer, a brown ale that had a nice chocolate finish and I don't remember the last one, but they were all very good. Couple this flight with a delicious wood-fired pizza and it makes for a perfect evening. I had the "Birch and Boar" pizza featuring sausage, tasso ham and mozzarella with some arugula, and a smoked cheddar pesto. T'DIE FOR! The crust is a perfect thinness with a slight wood-fired char on the bottom - allowing it to hold up well to the toppings. It was fresh, it was amazing! As stated, the service was very friendly and efficient. The only drawback to the place is it's rather small indoor dining making it quite loud when it gets full. Hard to hear/understand who you're talking to just across the table. BUT, I do look forward to coming back for more brew sampling's and another pizza.

After several hundred miles through Canadian roads on motorcycles, it's always good to hydrate, sip and explore local spots. We were told it's the only brewery in town. We enjoyed beer at the bar, outside on patio, and experienced great friendly service and staff. Seem to be very popular place since our early arrival, groups kept pouring in. Distinct taste in sampler that came with a full details about each of the beer sample. Good food to nibble on. Excellent beers on taps along with generous seating areas indoors and outdoors. We wish we stay for much longer and experience the evening atmosphere. We needed one good meal for the day, so we settled for the Keg next door.

Aside from my first two attempts to come to this place i enjoyed myself once getting in here. Seating is kinda a nightmare cause you have to seat yourself. Took me a good couple tries to come here, the first time i was told they were closed and it was like 9 or something and was turned away which made me mad because it was my first weekend after moving to PG. the apartment had no wifi and i wanted to get out so i saw this place and assumed it was open and was basically told to leave getting in the door, which is why it took me so long to come here. Then tonight, black Friday what a better time to try than tonight. I had grabbed a latte from Starbucks across the street sat for a bit then came over when i finally found a seat the bartender told me i wasnt aloud to have outside drinks so i sat outside finishing my 6$ latte (not happy about that situation) but once i sat down it didnt take to long to get my pizza which was pretty good, the clear cut lagger is pretty decent as well. Over all i wish this place was a little more clear with what the hell they're doing and food is good, beer is good.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING! LIVE, in Prince George, British Columbia! IIIIIIIIIIT'S...TIIIIIIIME!!! Introducing first...FIGHTING out of the blue corner, this restaurant is a pizzeria Napoletana. It has a massive traditional wood oven and a rooftop patio; it grows many of its ingredients on site and is run by a head chef chiseled from Okanagan wineries and island resorts. From 3rd Avenue, presenting the current reigning champion...BETULLA BURNING! And introducing the challenger...FIGHTING out of the red corner, this restaurant is craft brewery. It has a traditional wood oven, a concrete patio, and eight different varieties of craft beer. It's head chef traveled Europe discovering new horizons in the culinary craft before returning home. From George Street, presenting...CROSSROADS BREWERY! On the surface, it might be strange comparing a pizzeria to a brewhouse, but let's be honest, it's going to happen. They're the only two locations in Prince George featuring traditional wood-burning pizza ovens (Betulla's is notably larger). Both menus are dominated by dishes emerging from the fiery depths of said ovens. They both boast rustic decors, with Crossroads taking the extra mile with functioning garage doors offering access to the aforementioned concrete patio. Both are commanded by two of the best chefs this town has ever seen. Comparisons will be made. Infiltrators from both sides attempted incursion to glean valuable intelligence on dough recipes and cooking techniques. And even among my group of five, without prompt, they began discussing which of the two were superior. My stance is complicated given the differences that still separate them. Betulla is defined by its pizza oven. With Crossroads, it's a gimmick; their purpose is in their pints...beer pints that is. Fermentation tanks occupy more than half the complex, all shiny and chrome, visible from the windows dominating one wall of the restaurant. Their pizza oven is nudged in the corner, almost forlorn. As said earlier, the décor is impressive, with polished natural wood tables, corrugated sheet metal fringing the bar, and that adorable pizza oven sitting in the corner like an oversized Chinese steamed bun. A counter runs along the glass wall with uncomfortable chairs for people to sit, though credit is given for offering both traditional and USB power ports for those stopping for lunch. I tip my hat; that's a damn good idea. The tables were obviously expensive, but they still resembled picnic tables. Two friends ordered beer while extolling the quality of the Crossroads brand. They never leave without picking up growlers. I don't drink beer, believing it a joke passed on from the Sumerians to the rest of time. I found one brand at Crossroads that didn't make me vomit, and that's as high a praise you are ever going to get. It was called the Mother Heffer, which I couldn't help thinking sounded dirty. As for the food, we opened with the share platter, a spotlight of all the other snacks, including olives, beer nuts, stuffed dates, flat bread, and biltong (South African jerky). Although all fantastic, high points go to the dates and flat bread. As for pizza, we oredered four, the Italian Deli (salami, capicola, garlic parmesan), the Angry (Grana Padano cheese and fleur de lait, roasted garlic and spicy tomato sauce), the mushroom (mushrooms, it has mushrooms), and the Off the Grid (chorizo, pepperoni, farmer salami, mozzarella, and aged cheddar). These pizzas all read and look, very westernized. There isn't much at Crossroads deviating from what you'd expect from franchise pizzerias, though with considerable more gusto. Betulla still has the claim on fancier pizzas. Then there are the prices; when Crossroads first opened, they were on par with Betulla. So, in a fair match, Betulla would take the belt. However, since then, Betulla has increased their prices by nearly 20%, while Crossroads has remained flat, an important factor to consider. Crossroad pizza is fantastic, far better than any of the tried and tested examples offered by franchises and chains. The pizza bread is sturdier than the softer varieties made at Betulla--when you slice a wedge and lift, it doesn't flop over. It's a culinary choice rather than a statement on pizza quality, but those seeking more conventional pizzas may be more satisfied with Crossroads. When taking a group vote, three votes went to Crossroads as having the better pizza, a consensus impossible to ignore. At my first outing to Crossroads during the soft open back in March, I noted the dough was inferior. The bakers needed to raise their game. Well...they did. One assessment everyone agreed was that Betulla boasted the better toppings but Crossroads had the better bread.

Four terrific beer samples in this flight at Crossroads Brewing
